Ress priest has always been my most hated opponent in all it's forms. It's an archetype that should die... it's so obnoxious and unfun to play against I can't stand it. If I've already faced a couple in a session after that I just start auto-conceding, even if I could end up winning it just isn't worth it.
Put a Mad Summoner or 2 in your deck to mess up their res pool.
Did you miss the part where he said Pure Paladin?
Oh.
Yes. Yes I did. My bad I guess his only option is to play a different deck. All decks have strong and weak matchup. One's job as a player trying to win is to play a deck tailored to be strong against the majority of the current meta. E.g. early this month, I started from a 5-star multiplier and got to gold 2 mostly with my own control warlock, then went to gold 4 and stayed there until last Sunday. Seeing that the meta was mostly late-game/control, I felt the best thing to win would be an aggro deck that can keep high pressure for a long time. Murloc Shaman. Yes, you heard me It absolutely destroys quest mage, res priest, and holds its own against DH and other aggro decks. I'm now rank Diamond 7, and still rising. It's felt like a 75% W/R, multiple streaks of 5+ wins in a row
TL;DR: If much of the meta is a certain archetype (like res priest), play a deck that beats it. You can't expect your favourite deck to win every matchup. At times, matchups you don't usually win are common. It's part of HS
Stop complains, after sac pac nerf only Priest keep in check DH.
That's simply untrue.
DH in its tempo/aggro variant does just fine against Res Priest, and always did. Res Priest did not emerge in meta as an hard counter to DH. It's just an overall strong and viable control deck.
Res Priest cancerous cards and playstyle should be evaluated on their own merits, not as as the "necessary evil" to keep in check DH. That argument may have been valid for Galalock pre-SacPact nerf, but really doesn't hold for Priest.
I play Rezpriest from time to time. I can understand OP, that it is very frustrating to play against. When you are piloting that deck you often know that you'll win, but you have to wait until your opponent realizes that as well. In a physical card game you could show your hand, prove it and ask your opponent if he wants to concede to shorten the match. That's not possible in HS. And as long as the opponent didn't threw all his resources at the Rez Priest he still thinks that there might be a chance to win. And therefore the match lasts very long even if it's already decided.
Highlander Priest is fine. That deck doesn't use any res cards. It's a little inconsistent, but it's a fun control deck. Priest also has other archetypes, but none of them work. Tempo Priest, Silence Priest, Deathrattle/Clone Priest. Silence and Tempo suffer from severe lack of card draw. Deathrattle/Clone is too greedy and this meta is very unforgiving toward greediness. All Combo Priests have died. It's a problem with the devs and with the player base as well. They keep supporting Res Priest because there's an audience for it. Even if the deck is despised, as long as there are people playing it (and buying packs for the cards), they will keep printing more of these cards.

Galakrond priest is pretty good tbh. You have twice as much removal as highlander priest and have so much value generation. Does well against dh and is good in priest mirrors.
I don't have a problem with Priest as a class - I don't mind long games..control and combo priests were always fine.
But I have always hated playing against res priest of any form...it's just such a lame strategy, and comapred with other forms of value generation in this game, feels completely unfair. For the longest time i have wanted Blizzard to introduce some kind of graveyard hate card, but we never get one, best we ever seem to get is stuff that summons crap for your opponent and transform effects. Neither are satisfactory, as this playstyle is still around, sucking the life out of BOTH ladders - Big Res Preist in Wild is an abomination.
I don't hate Priest, but I despise the amount of Rez in the class... it's just wrong. Rez is the number one reason I have seriously considered walking away from this game several times now.
If you play res priest or DH right now, you´re true scum

You sound like Hillary Clinton.
So 100 times smarter than the idiot they elected president then? Sure I´ll take it.
Also I take it back. I´d 1000% rather face priest right now. I´m so fucking tired of aggro DH now. Its like the most stale, boring ass meta ever.

Untill Priest will be unplayable.
The only way is TO BE LUCKY and hex/polymorph Infiltrators and survive long enough. No fun, just grind.

They can overcome a bad rez pool
