Hey Everyone - I have a question for how nerfs and dust refunds work. I looked over the patch notes for some of the changes that are about to be made. Lets use Altruis as an example. To make a Golden Copy is 3600 dust which I have. Lets say I want him at Golden. Can I make him for that amount and then get a full refund of dust and get all 3600 back for essentially a free Golden Legend?
You get refund for disenchanting a card, not for having it.
You need to disenchant to get the dust back.
You can however get extra gold if you have got duplicates of nerfed cards.
That only works when stuff gets Hall of Fame
Anyone else not being offered 1600 Dust for Open the Waygate?

Senior ModeratorIt should also be noted that only three of the nerfed cards are eligible for full dust refunds for this particular round of nerfs.
Bad Luck Albatross, Open the Waygate, and Bloodbloom.
Frenzied Felwing is also eligible. I don't know why it's not mentioned, but it's disenchantable for the full refund in HS.

Hm. I was under the impression it wasn't, because it's a Solo Adventure card. Guess I was wrong.
Did you maybe get open the waygate as a expansion reward when it was first released? If I remember correctly we were all gifted one quest back in the day. Hence if it was a gift and you didn't craft it, then you also don't get dust offered I assume.
I could be wrong though.
