I knew that with its limited card pool, DH would be in a tough spot in Wild. That didn't stop me from preordering the expansion (both bundles).
And surprisingly, DH did just fine on release day in Wild. If something is "just fine" on release day in Wild, then that is too much for Standard, so it was clear that nerfs would happen.
Still the DH didn't die out completly. But with a further set of nerfs, the class will certainly die. And that's sad. Hearthstone has two formats, Standard and Wild. But Wild players, like me, now have two wait four more months (quarantined due to Corona) before they can have fun with Hearthstone's 10th class again.
Could this be fixed? Yes! Just release 2-4 Hall of Fame Demon Hunter Cards to help the class stand their ground in the Wild Environment. Make them really busted so that Standard players wouldn't want to play these anyways. Really busted is "just fine" in Wild btw.
Can’t please them all. Do you know what the highest win rate deck in wild is? Tempo Demon Hunter.
No, it is just the most played deck, Don't take HSreplay stats for granted when it comes to Wild, the number of games is too low for accurate stats. I don't think any of the true Top Tier decks (Quest Mage, Reno Quest Mage, Darkest Hour Warlock, Jade Druid, Reno Priest) has any difficulties with DH. They just burn away their ressources, then lose, but there are also many players at lower ranks that just insta-concede vs DH because they are just Standard swapovers and are frustrated.
Also, you were looking at Standard stats anyways.
Edit: Most DH decks on HSreplay for Wild are just Blizzard Standard lists anyways, you can assume that their wins are exclusively on the lower ranks. You can't play on high level Wild with a Blizzard Standard list.
Well my Baku list is now unplayable. Was able to recover from first set of nerfs but now they have striped it of board clear as well and sadly standard players will still bitch that they haven't done enough.
Demon Hunter will be dropping a bit more in power level. You can still play the class, and you'll probably still win games with it. Odd DH loses Altruis and Albatross, but the deck is still pretty solid.
At worst, Demon Hunter might find itself at Tier 3, stuck with mediocre archetypes, just like Rogue and Hunter. DH is lacking variety, but that was clear from the beginning and will eventually get fixed.
It is fine in wild. Not at all unplayable as OP seems to think. And it shouldnt be any more when it is a new class. Do not forget that wild is a sidemode to standard and all balance is and should be to standard as long as this is a fact
What are you talking about? DH ist still Tier 1 in both „last 1“ and „last 3“ days in wild now. Maybe not broken anymore, but way stronger than other classes. You have no point...
Baku DH will lose albatross and Altruis and get a downgrade on Battlefiend and Galaicebound Adept. Battlefiend and Gaivebound Adept are still very playable I think, and you just need to substitute 3 wild quality 3-drops to make up the rest. It will still very much be a deck.

This is bugging me. I am a Wild player.

it is definitely not dh in wild that has the highest winrate. best guess would be razapriest or quest mage

You forgot Odd Demon Hunter, very strong to do two damage each turn with one mana
Have you looked at it after the nerfs. Yes you get the best deal on Baku but no support any more. Everything got made even
just play another class, DH was a mistake
...
most of the core cards have been increased to even mana
Got legend with my odd Demon Hunter AFTER the last nerfs...
Still Verry strong with no really bad match ups and good winrate vs all other aggro decks... and even with the new nerfs it will be in a fine spot.
at this time of the month, in the new system, anything can get you to Legend.
also you'll lose Altruis next patch

You are right that in wild are 9 classes. But casual Hunter is missing, not DH.
