How are priest and druid dead? Especially res priest tier 1?
And galakrond lock. But they'll ignore your response because it doesn't cater to their ideals.
It's not a secret that a vast majority of HS players visible on HPWN are socially inept teenagers or just dumb, entitled kids. Smart people don't whine like little bitches all the time and this forum is full of it. I'm glad that from time to time I spot self-aware person like you or other guys who can talk sense.
Well it's not even a matter of being self aware, just absolute facts.
Post about how control decks are dead, and will be forever. Meanwhile there are 3 major control decks having incredible success. In fact, id go a step further and say DH is the only thing keeping aggro/tempo decks alive. There are far more viable control decks that are viable than aggro ones.
See these people act like they want a nice balance, but really they just want only control decks to be viable. Which is also not an okay reality.
Are you serious with this funny joke called Demon Hunter??????/with this freaking out draw to draw to draw can't do anything ....Needd to praise the God to win this funny joke!!!!Demon Hunter needs extra nerf

This post shows you like dumb kid who cant even discuss. I can agree there is one good control deck - Control Warlock. Res Priest and Druid are Tier 3 Tempostorm Tier. We can agree or not with Tempostorm tier but in 1 and 2 tiers are only aggro/ tempo and highlander (midrange) decks. There is only one Control deck - Warlock in tier 1. You can tell Tempostorm is wrong but imo they know more abut decks power and meta tier than typical kid on hearthpwn like you.
This show there is A LOT more viable and strong aggro/ tempo decks than control atm.
So ok maybe control is not completely dead because of Warlock but is in very bad spot compared to aggro/tempo.

Seriously? If you can't do "anything" about DH since last nerfs then you are REALLY BAD at this game. It's kind of stupid to bring a knife to a gun fight so stop playing meme decks or learn to play meta established archetypes that win against DH.
It was a mistake to reestablish account on this site. I'm getting sick of morons who plainly and clearly signal that they suck at this game and then blame multitude of reasons for losses. DH was out of control before first balance adjustments. Now it's on par or slightly worse than other strong classes/archetypes. I hope that it's not going to be nerfed to the ground next time. Just L2P.

Sacrificial Pact is algo being nerfed, that's the main reason why more Demon Hunter class cards are going to receive the same treatment.

1. Discuss what? From my experience playing above Diamond 5 there is little to no Aggro that would give me any trouble so anyone complaining about Face/Aggro decks are either bad or low rank.
2. I don't care about TempoStorm, I play EU and if you check Platinum and Diamond ranks on HSReplay metas between EU and NA are often different.
3. Right, Tempo is quite strong but my Big Druid (which I call Tempo/Control) and Gala Warlock (which I call Control) with some Res Pries in between for LOLz got me from Bronze 20 to Diamond 5 with minimal losses against those Tempo/Aggro decks. Now I'm fine tuning Control DH to hit Legend so complains about overly oppressive Aggro and Control not being viable I call PURE BULLSHIT. That's reality, not some aggregate stats.
Maybe you should care less about what some arbitrary website stats tell you and learn to better adapt your decks to what you are really facing at particular ranks? Netdecking "Tier 1" deck and then losing because meta changed a little in matter of last few days is quite dumb. You always have to tech against what gives you most trouble. I have no idea how Legend is atm in Standard so I can't tell what pro meta is like since this expansion, I only hit it in Wild but if a "kid" like me can go that far then everyone else should have no problem hitting at least Diamond 5 with minimal losses. So no whining like a little bitches. L2P

Long time no see Sherman. What have you been up to recently? Not sure if you remember our heated debates from couple of years ago. Cool to see familiar face still being here. I see that a lot of cool guys is not participating in telling noobs that they are noobs anymore.
Regarding upcoming balance changes, we will see what they will bring to the table. I hate all the speculation. As always, I can manage whatever they give me and rank up without salt.

Thank you my friend! :) I'm not going to lie to you, sometimes it's very hard to remember so many people and usernames on a forum after so many years, but I'm pretty sure we had our moments of fun togheter, so I'm glad to see you again, seriously! :) I guess some people (including me) change over time, hehe. I still make some jokes here and there (not very aggresive ones, but jokes after all), and sometimes some users take them too seriously, but what can I do? That's something at the core of my personality and I'm not going to change it for anything! :)
And yeah, regarding the upcoming balance changes, we must wait and see what happens. Although I don't explicity demostrate it here, the truth is, I want everyone on this forum who play Hearthstone to have fun, after all I still love this community, although sometimes I just want to kill everyone, but that is natural I guess... XD
It's been a while. Years maybe, stumbling by to find Hearthstone in the same shape as it was in the early days. And a forum which inhabit the same types
the same vulgar aggressive, spam-buff-go face, low skill archetype dominance.
the same pseudo-intellectual type defending developers.

The OP is trying to make a point. Control has always been underwhelming in its presence. Nothing new. The same old story. A fundamental skill hate sips like putrifying pus from your screen.
Can you please next time post something that is more comprehensible? Your rant sounds like a hopeless lunatic rambling full of sound and fury signifying nothing.
Imagine thinking Ress Priest is a Tier 1 deck... what ranks are these comments on? No more than Plat 10, surely, or is DH so broken that it managed to carry these people above it?
My God someone on page 1 called Druid slow and greedy like a control deck...
Anyway, Control Warlock is decent enough against the field, but it's indeed the only decent control deck out there.
The more you climb, the worse Priest becomes, but since DH is busted, a lot of bad players might have climbed higher than they usually do (you can see the amount of players in Legend currently as an indication), so you might see stories of success of the class here and there, but it's really not a great deck, plenty of weaknesses that are exploited.

Exactly this. Above Diamond all those scary stories that run amok here are not true at all anymore. Only low rank bad players complain about oppressive decks. Nerf this, nerf that. Priest OP, DH OP etc. LOL L2P people.
The fundamental problem with control decks is that they tend to lack in dominating board presence. The only deck so far that has had some sucess in that regard is Ress Priest, but it has to sacrifice other options in terms of removal or other value generators (Such as Galakrond in most lists) in favor of making the synergy work.
For example, I have been playing a non singleton Control Dragon priest, and while this deck has a slew of very efficient removal that makes you wonder how do you even build a board against this deck...that's the problem. It has too much board clear, and without maintaining any board presence you lack damage output to reliably kill your opponent. In games of control, it usually comes down to who fatigues less or wins the RNG lottery, and those games go on forever. If you think Ress priest is a problem, imagine if any control deck was able to also OTK or spew out giant minions while also reliably killing your opponent's boardand generate value, that deck would be unstoppable. I think Blizzard is right to balance Control decks, because if they do get insanely good cards for board presence they would get so out of control that a lot of people would understandably quit the game.

Hooghout usually sounds that way, ignore him. Last active: 15th of March but he has been away for so long that he lost track of time. Shame on you for implying that Plato was a dumb man! Shame!
Like others have said, control decks still do exist and it is not that they aren't viable anymore. The archetype isn't dead, it is just not as good as it once was. Every expansion cycle we get these X archetype is dead when it clearly isn't. Nothing new to see here.
So you people just choose to willingly ignore every post about warlock and Rez priest being tier 1 control decks?
No response? Nothing?
I guess they have even less IQ than average Hunter players from 2016 LOL ;)
They talk about 'thinking about plays' all the time but can't comprehend simple things like what actually makes a control archetype.
And notice how still no response. Nothing. Someone will post in about 5 minutes saying "yup control is dead" and not even acknowledge it because we are not part of their echo chamber.
Oh I know right? Somehow longer games=more brain power, even though control decks arguably take less skill than aggro.
Playing arcane intellect and freezing a board to avoid dying or stacking armor and casting brawl to avoid dying is not a skill based thing at all lol. Control decks take more skill when played against other control decks, like resource management for the long game. But against aggro, the control deck is easier to play than the aggro deck because they don't have to worry about managing resources like in fatigue matchups.
Facts! Agree with this completely. Yet still takes the control player till rope to figure out I should sweep the board. I enjoy decks on both archetypes but both require more skill against different matchups. Being the control player does not mean your just the more skilled player.

People just seem to have this weird idea that just because there is a difference in objective (kill them going face vs. outlast their resources) that there is this huge skill gap tilted towards the control player, but here's the thing...
Managing resources is far more difficult than not having too, which makes the matchup harder for the aggro player than the control player. People WAY over exaggerate the "duh all go face" mentality. No deck, outside of an absolute aggro hunter, does this. In most situations, the aggro player must decide whether or not they can afford to skip an ideal trade in exchange for dealing face damage.
With this, there are both payoffs and drawbacks. If you ignore board to go face, and they have a good response, they can blow you out and you'll never get the board back. However, if you trade too much, you will lose in the late game as you won't be able to close it out and they will have far more value than yourself.
All the control player must do in this matchup is stay alive. They don't have to manage any resources because they will not run out of them before the aggro player. Now, this doesn't mean recklessly throwing your aoe away on boards that don't warrant it, but a warrior shield slamming a flame imp is often the right play. The goal for the control player of staying alive is more linear than the aggro players goal of killing the enemy player before they gas out.
But you will never be able to convince most of the people that hate aggro, because they play greedy, heavy decks with fun flashy cards, and aggro decks hinder those cards and often result in them not being played.
On a final note, control decks certainly take skill too. Control vs. control matchups are actually some of the highest skill based matchups in the game, because every single move you make matters. And value is king in these matchups. However, in aggro vs. control, aggro has a harder job and has to be more mindful of their plays than the control player. But again, aggro ain't flashy, it just fights for board and pushes damage.
i could understand this kind whining in other time but atm gala warlock literally tier 1 (and highlander mage also solid tier 2 deck) and you still think control is dead ? wtf ?
With the demon hunter in play and the games are short-lived, the only class that can play full control is a priest, but in reality it almost always beats demon hunters by reviving minions.
