I played 12 games as DH of token and highlander style decks taken from articles on this site. 2 of my matches were against secret mages, I won both, one match was against a Galakrond HL rogue which I lost narrowly.
Then the other 9 games I played were mirror DH only they were all face, temp, and aggro varieties and I lost every single game, usually not even close.
So I guess my initial impression of DH is to go with fast and aggressive decks or don't bother playing it. 15% win rate is pretty horrible. XD
I barely could play through the Prologue of the uberamount of cringe. DH is the ultra "you wouldn't understand" hero hearthstone DID NOT NEED and now they made him a tier 1 CLASS so yeah back to the good old Battlegrounds.
I'm playing priest and got owned by one of them with kael tas and free double inner demon (20 damage on one turn) with weapon, thanks to all those 0/1 cost spells.
Got destroyed right after vs another one, tempo wise.
Yeah, it's op af, more tempo than rogue, more aggro than hunter.
I am glad that I haven't spent a cent again for this piece of shit. Blizz is catering the stinking casuals with their brain capticity for maximum 6 turns. Just got easily OTK with a Kaelthas DH combo....
Why is there an epidemy when the Dev Team ain't changing :(
Nice I’m not the only one running that combo. It’s not really an OTK at turn 6 though. Max you can do reliably is 20 damage. 25 damage at turn 7 is where it caps without some SoG luck.
I’ve been playing demonhunter and I was worried it would be super OP but it seems pretty beatable. I’m sitting with like a 60% win rate. Priest and warlock are tough matches. I’m running a combo deck though. Aggro demonhunter could be different story. Haven’t played it or seen one, but there’s a lot of priests on the ladder so I have no desire to try. I wanna try a control demon hunter list too. It’s weakness is big minions. Anything with more than 4-5 health is difficult to kill reliably.
Seriously though guys it’s only been a couple hours, everyone is playing the new class and everything is super unrefined so we have no way of knowing what’s good right now.
Havent beaten them yet with Warlock double sack pack. So much face damage. Still way too early to make any kind of assumption on their power level though.
Running plot twist lock? That deck wrecked my DH deck
So - the more I've played, the more I think these cards are just so broken and un-fun. Who the fuck thought a mini rag that can attack was a good idea?
Count me out till something changes. I'm not dicking around playing Demonhunterstone for the next 6 months...
yeaaaah, I never want to be too fast with these conclusions. But this is worse than Galakrond Shaman when it just came out.
It's pretty outrageous that they release the class like this. It will get nerfed and blizzard knew 100% (just like anyone else who looked at the cards) it would be insanely OP.
Just like last time: we have to wait for the expansion and then we have to wait for the nerfs, so we can actually play the game...
The games sum up to 'if they draw Imprisoned Antaen and Priestess of Fury or don't' (which they obviously always do). It's nearly impossible to test any deck because of the DH fiesta. Hope Blizzard nerfs it quickly.
Like really, who balanced Antaen? A 10/6 body is worth around 7 mana and the effect is worth about 9, so you get an 11 mana discount as a reward for waiting just two turns...

Ya Antean is ridiculously hard to deal with. Nerf hammer incoming.
Like - "which of my supidly overpowered cards should I play next?"...tough decisions all round...
I know people like to think that "the meta needs to settle" etc., and that's true to a point, but there is such a think as objectively overpowered cards that take away any notion of skill from the game.
Also, making a deck which is designed just to beat DH would suggest there is a problem with the DH deck - Blizz have created these scenarios before and it makes for a shit time - Hearthstone v2.0 - coinflip simulator.
Play Librams Paladin with Wild Pyromancer or Dragon Hunter with Zixor + Scrapyard and you can just farm them all day.
Tried libram paladin so far lost 100%, mind sharing your version of deck thanks
Yep me too. Pure Libram Pally
Yeah, pure Paladin isn't ideal with librams. Here is the list I have been using to screw over DH aggro. Once discounted, your Libram of Wisdom can be used to trigger Wild Pyro or Kael'thas. Play a conservative game, prioritizing removal over face damage and letting the DH burn themselves out: ### Librams # Class: Paladin # Format: Standard # Year of the Phoenix # # 2x (1) Desperate Measures # 2x (2) Aldor Attendant # 2x (2) Hand of A'dal # 2x (2) Libram of Wisdom # 2x (2) Wild Pyromancer # 2x (3) Aldor Peacekeeper # 2x (3) Bronze Explorer # 2x (4) Bone Wraith # 2x (4) Consecration # 2x (4) Truesilver Champion # 2x (5) Aldor Truthseeker # 2x (5) Faceless Corruptor # 1x (6) Kael'thas Sunstrider # 2x (6) Libram of Justice # 1x (8) Lay on Hands # 2x (9) Libram of Hope # AAECAZ8FAtIErroDDtwDzwb2B48J+ZMD8qUDkK4DgrEDyrgD/bgD6rkD67kD7LkDysEDAA== # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone

It looks like this:
you queue up, it’s always DH, he plays Imprisoned Antean and then he spams emotes and you wonder why anybody was excited for any of this

Stats from HSreplay from the first few thousand matches. Up to 80% winrate. Fuck blizzard =)
Told you guys , Imprisoned Antaen would be problematic.
"Nah its, too slow !!" pfff

I hope for quick upadate. It is not funny.
It feels very unnecessary, to be honest. It brings nothing interesting to the table. Not concerned about balance.
