Okay, everyone: What are your predictions for the initial AoO metagame?
What is best? What is worst? Bold predictions? Tepid predictions? What will be nerfed? Etc.
In no particular order, here are mine. - Demon Hunter will NOT be the strongest class, but it will be nerfed. - Paladin will be a top tier class. - Rogue will be the best class, but none of the new cards will be nerfed. - Dirty Tricks will see play outside of Rogue decks containing the rest of the secret package. - Shaman will be the worst class by a wide margin. Some Galakrond nerfs will be reverted. - The most played neutral card after Maiev will be Frozen Shadoweaver. - Galakrond and Highlander decks will make up the bulk of the metagame, with Paladin splashed in. - Handbuff Hunter will not be good, but the package will find its way into a few decks.
First post about predictions that I can actually get behind. Alas, a few comments on your comments though:
- Handbuff Hunter will be stronger than we give it credit for now, and it can make up for a strong hybrid Beast/Dragon deck. - They WILL nerf Rogue if older archetypes are still prevalent, and they’ll do it fast.
I agree on the rest, and I actually feel bad for Shaman. I know it was incredibly toxic and strong early DoD days, but it has been reduced to barely anything now. Rather, they will find ways to buff new archetypes, instead of reverting nerfs on the Galakrond package. At least, I hope they do.

Playing meme decks/characters does not entitle you to call a meta bad.
Rogue is OP. Demon Hunter could be the new cancer. Hunter has already the best package and received new tools , so it will be again Tier 1.
Pally WILL be nerfed.
But listen closely : Druid will be the TOP.
Priest won't be played for a couple of months (Blizzard seems to be ruled by a couple of Hunters crybabies, so this is their childish way to win some games, but we'll be back and will kick your ass as usual smorc Guys, just wait :-P).
Demon Hunter will be the best class and rest of the meta will revolve around countering it, so Warrior will be a top tier class for sure. Rogue will be good, but suffer from the presence of lots of fast aggressive decks. Hunter and Paladin will be in good spot. Mage will be reliant on highlander mage to see any presence in the meta. Priest is a wildcard that might be better than people give it credit for and Shaman will be playable, but the worst class overall. Druid will still be playing Embiggen and the new spell package won't be good enough to challenge the better classes.
EDIT: DH will be nerfed, which will push Rogue to be tier 1 again and it will be nerfed at some point.
EDIT2: Warlock will be good for sure and will be great against DH and similiar powerlevel with warrior and rogue, although there is a lot of bad new demons which can affect Galagrond.

That feeling when you realize that (Quest) Galakrond Shaman is still the best option. I've oh so often tried to make Control Shaman great again and its so much fun, yet sad at the same time. Blizzard doesn't really push or even care about Control Shaman, at least The Lurker Below is a decent addition to it, but it's far from enough...
Rogue will rule the meta. The stealth and secret packages will be tried out, but then abandoned when people realise that Galakrond Rogue is better without the new cards. It'll get nerfed after a month, but it will stay at tier 1. At the other end of the spectrum will be Mage, with Highlander Mage dropping down to tier 3 and Spell-Only Mage failing completely.
I present these predictions with no evidence whatsoever, and I have no idea if they're going to come true, but if they do I will still take credit for them.
Don't hold much Hope for Mage, as cool as Evocation looks, I get the feeling Mage's Hand might be full most the time anyway, so won't get full value, but looking forward to playing Mage and Paladin more than I am Demon Hunter. Illidins face is gonna be everywhere.

Very resonable assumption, but I am not sure about paladin spot. Like this deck lacks true win condition, librams are powerful defensive tools, but average offensive. Murgur Murgurgle is nice on paper, but in reality you end up with 6/3, 2x 2/1, 2/3 and maybe one 3/3. But maybe this is enough.
I am missing quest druid and gala lock in this prediction. QD still has most of his powerhouse, and gets some nice replacements like Maiev Shadowsong, new prime and this 0 mana deal 3 when you have 7 mana. I do believe good QD build can compete with top decks.
Gala lock seems to be hard counter to DH because of naturally played Sacrificial Pact and good defensive options. Moreover, new lock prime allows to build some juicy mid demon handlock, we will see if this is going to be good.

Oops I forgot about warlock in that first prediction so will edit it in, but fair points. QD will probably be a thing and like you said warlock is probably close to Warrior, Hunter and Rogue in terms of power level due to being great on paper against DH.
Eee, why? Do you see something I am not seeing? Mountain Giant rotates, most cyclic cards too
Cyclone mage is strong without giant, also most cyclic cards aren't rotating out like Magic Trick and cheap spells like Ray of Frost. It also is getting the edition of the perm sorcerer's apprentice which will break the deck, which along with more cheap spells will be op.
I think rogue is extremely overrated... I predict the whole stealth / secret stuff isn't as broken as people make it out to be. it all feels kinda meh to me, ngl

Aggro will reign supreme.
Mage will not be as good as I think it will be.
RIP Zilliax.
Libram of Wisdom will be nerfed.

demon hunter nerfed in 2 weeks

Some kind of evolve-shaman will be playable I think. Some of the cards are good.
Best classes will be Rouge, Warlock and DH in that order.
Libram will only be good in control paly which is now a t4/5 deck, maybe will find a wierd kael thas otk with wisdom but I doubt it.
Cyclone mage will become op. Spell mage is a trap with 0 value.
Maive will be the most played card in standard.
Most dormant cards outside of a few (maybe the priest, Def the warrior) will not see play.
Worst classes will be shaman and paladin, in that order.
More like 2 months but I would like to be pleasantly surprised.
Bold prediction? Everything will be playable for next 3 weeks.
While the cards themselves are strong with the vast presence of strong BC w/ weak stats and dormant cards it'll be shit

Demon Hunter is going to be very strong. Maybe the Galakrond Shaman of this expansion.
I love Paladin but I'm not convinced yet it'll be so strong as to require nerfs.
Rogue will find a way to be cancerous, as always.
Eee, why? Do you see something I am not seeing? Mountain Giant rotates, most cyclic cards too.

QD's endgame without Floop is troublesome.
There are options, but they're clunky.
