If we play it with Archmage Vargoth on board, with the 3 cards at the end of the turn be reduced by 3 mana?
I'm guessing if something like Yogg cast it, it wouldn't Outcast, because it's not being cast from a spot in the hand, but Vargoth, I'm not sure about.
Has anyone heard anything, or care to make an educated guess?
I can totally see it working with Vargoth in the sense of, IF you cast it with Outcast active, it will repeat the spell as you played it, with Outcast active, and if you did not, then it will not.
But I could also totally see it working like if you just cast it randomly.
I think it probably will just cast a random Skull of Gul'dan and draw you 3 cards, but not discounted. If it does discount, OH BOY, we can get some shenanigans going.

My guess is that it Vargoth won't trigger Outcast since the card isn't being cast from your hand. Technically the card isn't being cast from any position of your hand, it's being cast by Vargoth, technically. Based on what we've seen from Stargazer Luna not triggering her draw when Vargoth triggers a recast, that's my thinking on it.
Kinda like how Morozond doesn't trigger battlecries; the cards are being "cast", but they aren't being cast from a hand (thus not triggering "cast from hand" processes).
Obviously this is just a guess, but that's my thinking on it :)

That's what I was figuring too. I think it would need to say "re-play a random spell you played this turn.".... As it's worded, it likely casts the spell as though it were random.
"If you utilize the combo from Headcrack with Archmage Vargoth in play, at the end of your turn he will add an additional copy of Headcrack to your hand."
Seems like he casts exactly the same spell you played from your hand and not a copy of it (and then randomly chooses the targets, or in case of choose one spells, Vargoth first randomly chooses which option to use and then the targets). If this were not the case, the combo effects attached to any card casted by Vargoth shouldn't work, but they do. And about this card interaction with Stargazer Luna, it doesn't work because it is Vargoth the one recasting the same spell, not the player, and it's Luna the one who has the ability to draw when the right-most card in the player's hand is played, not the spell.
Having said that, this is Hearthstone, so we can never be 100% sure about anything. :P
it is consistent though you have played a card in the turn therefore the combo will trigger. it wont always play the spell exactly the same, if you play a choose one card for example it will not always pick the same option you did.
For an undetermined period of time, from now on, I will only visit the Official Music Thread, but before doing so, I'm going to try to end this discussion (and some other ones) as gently as possible, hehe.

No, it is not. There must be an inconsistency somewhere (probably related to the combo keyword then) and I'm pretty sure about that. The combo keyword only activates when the player plays the card from hand and, in this case, it's Archmage Vargoth the one casting the spell, not the player.
combos does not only work when played from the hand as yogg saron can still trigger comboes as long as you have played another card. Outcast must be the left-most or right-most card in order to activate, it is not if vargoth cast it, comboes on the other hand gets activated if you have played another card this turn, nothing that states that it has to be from your hand. therefore no inconsistency

When you summon a minion with the combo keyword, it never triggers its combo effect.
As far as I'm aware of, a card like Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron adds only one additional spell to the amount casted by Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, and not eleven, dude. And a card like Tortollan Pilgrim is the one casting a copy of a spell in your deck and not you, which means you're not the one playing it. So again, where did you get that?
i might have been vague in what i said. what i meant was that comboes don't trigger for minions when summoned because they are simply being put on the battlefield while spells are actually being casted. that might be why its combo doesnt work.

And isn't that actually an incosistency? Why spells should work different than minions in this case? Why should they be considered casted while minions not considered played?
Don't worry, I love these kind of discussions. It's always cool to follow and try to understand different lines of thoughts, even when talking about how cards work in a children's card game, hehe. :)

The exact interaction I'm curious about is:
Skull of Gul'dan

It would be weird if not, considering Archmage Vargoth current interaction with spells using the combo keyword:

SOLVED: Argoth + Outcast does NOT work
The outcast effect is not triggered again.
Thanks for the info. I hate inconsistencies in this game, but what can I do about it? I'm just a mere mortal... :P

I perfectly know that. Already addressed that point in my first post.

And noone is asking about Unseen Saboteur. Will it cast card with outcast? or maybe it is too obvious, that it will work, i don't know.
A spell is played even when not comming diretly from your hand, minions that are summoned are not.
I'm pretty sure that's not true. Where did you get that?
