Damn you started with a lower star multiplier than me but you’ve climbed higher lol. Nice, how much play time did it take? I’m about to hit Platinum 5 and lose my bonus stars.
I mostly played yesterday in the evening for like 4 hours till I was gold 1 and today I went from there to diamond 8 in another 4 hours had a few good winstreaks in between and not many loses today.
Dunno why but getting from gold to platinum was the hardest part lol.
I'm mainly a Priest player since Hearthstone went live with over 6K wins (17.6k wins total) and I have only once before gotten Legend (with a Druid taunt deck). I usually play Standard Ladder and have ended nearly every season in ranks 5-2 previously. I don't know if I just had a lucky streak or what, but for me, climbing the ladder with a standard Priest Rez deck was super easy to rank Diamond 5, and then just today I hit Legend for the 2nd time. Your experience may vary, but I checked the forums to see if anyone else felt the same way and sure enough, found this thread :)
Getting to Legendary with Res Priest is respectable for sure ! I'am never getting those boardclears in time, the deck is too draw reliant for competitive play imo.
Making my way to legendary with my trusted Mech Paly until the Expansion launches, and if not, I can still abuse DH which everyone else will. But Mirrorstone will be less Fun -.-

I would never be able to do that with res priest. I’d get draw boned every game lol, well done
Hmm I raced up to Platinum and now am facing the grind - don’t recall getting to rank being this long. Only hit legend once before and thought so would do it again for the classic legendary but this seems worse than the previous system.
if i'm missing cards i can craft wtf i need to make any obscure deck available in the catalogue so it's not a problem of u don't have those cards
the problem is this my ELO MMR is so low i'm actually getting x2 for BRONZE LEAGUE.....
and once i hit silver i'm ........ 1 star with NO STAR BONUS have u ever tried how hard that is I STILL HAVE GOLD AND PLATINUM
it feels so EVEN LONG AND TEDIOUS climb and i've done a few games now i'm at silver 3 but when i'm getting 1 star per victory it's like whoa bro wtf this needs a serious fix cuz i'm like wtf LUL at this rate i need 96 to get to legend +96 stars ROFL WTF! GAME!?

thats the first month, if you end up diamond 10, you get like 7-8 starbonus... after that reaching diamond 5 every month will be a lot easier...
I assume...

To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
It’s true. It’s much easier now. Day 1 reached D2 and day 2 got legend (Highlander Hunter). And it’s actually 16 wins to get to legend. MMR is pretty weird tho; I played today and got 9-2 starting rank 451 and ended with 411. I stop playing because I realize I was actually losing ranks for winning. I’m assuming that’s because theirs other players that are also raking up but damn losing ranks for winning is never a good feeling.

Now THAT's super weird, bro
For me, when I started on Bronze 10 I got a chunky 10 Bonus Star Push, laddering felt like FLYING.
Then when I got to Silver 10 I still had 8 Bonus Stars, on Gold 10 still 6 Bonus Stars, on Platinum 10 it was 4 Bonus Stars and on Platinum 5 it was 3 Bonus Stars.
Finally on Diamond 10 I had still 2 Bonus Stars, and no more Bonus on Diamond 5.
I believe thats how its supposed to be when you managed to reach at least Rank 5 last month.
Yeah it's very much weighted for existing legend players to consistently make it back to legend. I started with 11 stars per win and still got 2 stars per win from diamond 5 which is laughable. Made it in less than 40 games total. Hats off to anybody that does it with a starting 6 stars per win or less because that's going to take a few more wins for sure
I like it too! I finished rank 10 last season and got 8 stars. I only play a handful of games every week so I don't get to climb very fast, but I'm having fun.
The thing that I'm having trouble with, however, is the influx of players who only play around new releases that play the same 5 top-tier netdecks all the time because they have no idea what the meta is so they just check tempostorm and run with it. As long as I don't go into counter-mode, I lose the vast majority which wasn't the case at all two weeks ago. That's ok though, they'll fuck off again in two weeks.
Reached Legend on day 6. Never reached Legend in the old system because the grinding for 25 wins was deterrent so I never tried. The big change is that they split the old rank 5 up rank 1 into ten ranks (Diamond 10 being rank 5) with a floor at Diamond 5. It's this floor at Diamond 5 that's makes legend more accessible. Now all the players, like me, who would just reach Rank 5, try new decks without bothering to climb have an incentive to reach legend. The key its now to reach diamond 10 and with the win streak bonus it should not a be a problem to reach diamond 5. Now, what will be interesting to find out is what percentage of the players reach Diamond 10 (rank 5). In the old system it was 6%.

I remember the last time I did it it was a horrible grind haven't done it ever since.
But with the new system I'm already diamond 8 so I probably hit 5 tomorrow.
Since it is only 15 games from there it should be way easier than ever to get there.
Anyone else thinking the same?
Started with 6 star multiplier. Still felt way easier to climb then before
I am thinking the same. Kinda hoping actually. I want to get to legend early and either meme or play for ranks.

Does anyone know when are there no more win streaks? I believe it should be either Diamond 10 or Diamond 5 but I am not sure

I've had a negative experience with this one
i have all the cards and i'm an arena farmer

Depends what your starting win bonus. If x10 is your multiplier then it should stop at D5

winstreaks end at diamond 5
I got legend yesterday, so yeah, its easier now
OK 5 days to legend..love it
Btw can you get infos about your mmr trough your legend rating?
I just went from rank 1 to legend and are placed 4060.
