I’ve just been rewarded a pack for doing the tavern brawl. In this pack I received eye for an eye, which I’ve already got 2 copies. Hasn’t the no more than 2x copies came into affect yet? This is putting me off opening any new packs on the 7th. Anyone else having this problem?
Many streamers tested the new system, and it seemed to be working. Haven’t you, at any time anywhere, gotten 2 copies of every Common Standard card? Because if you did, the duplicates will just be presented again.

Playing meme decks/characters does not entitle you to call a meta bad.
Then what did you expect to get from packs from that point on? It works the same for Legendaries - once you've gotten all Legendaries from a set, you start getting Legendary duplicates. They merely copied that system for the other rarities now.

You shouldn't receive any duplicates until you have 2 copies of all of the cards of that rarity in that set. Do you have 2 copies of all of the other cards of the same rarity in that set?
I have same problem. But after thinking about it i came with idea.
In pack you can find 1 rare and 4 common or 1 legend, 1 epic , 3 common. Or any other combination.
But if you have all common from set that does not mean you have to find for example 5 last legendaries in one pack. It mean i can find 1 rere or above and 4 common. But if you allready have all common twice i get 3rd copy. Not another better card.
I assumed I wouldn’t receive any duplicates once you’ve hit the x2 limit..
That's not how it works. The no dupes rule is only until you collect every card of that rarity. Once you collect for example, all commons or rares, you'll start seeing dupes when opening cards of that rarity.
Did people really believe they would collect all commons in 30 packs and then start opening 5 Legendaries per pack? Haha.
I’m missing cards from that rarity though.. not a full set?
Cards that you disenchanted also count as "collected", so that might be the case. You probably disenchanted those cards you're missing at some point, and the system sees that you've already collected them, so to get them again you have to fish through duplicates.
This is to prevent cheesing the nerf system. If they nerfed a common/rare, you could simply disenchant it, open a pack, get those cards again immediately, as they would now be missing in your collection, dust them again and repeat as long as your gold could sustain for massive dust gains.
I dont think cards you disenchanted before the patch count as collected. I disenchanted a golden explosive shot two days before the patch (I had one normal copy also) I opened my second copy today from a tavern brawl pack.
Yes, cards you disenchanted before the patch don't count. It would be interesting to know if he did DE something recently or what are the cards he's missing.
knew people would somehow think that if you have all the commons you will stop getting commons
then if you have all the rares, you'd stop getting rares
then once you have all the rares, you'd only get epics and legendaries in your packs
Hahaha, I was waiting for a kid who didn‘t understand my question :]
I do not have all the new priest cards, so why am I getting a non-golden Injured Blademaster when I‘ve got already 2 Golden and disenchanted 2 Normal Rare ones?

where is your question? I can't see any post from you in this thread
I was only amused by the OPs assumption on not receiving any duplicates once he has all the cards of a given rarity
As long as you realize its not based on your collection first its based on the rarity. If you're missing 3 rares you arent going to open 3 rares in one pack to cover them. If you get 1 rare and 4 common you're gonna get repeats.
just so I don't come out as a mean person considering my last post let me explain
the no duplicate/triplicate system means that if you don't have all the cards in a given rarity if you are to get a card in a pack in this given rarity it will first give you one of the missing cards
once you have all the cards in this rarity the odds for rarities in packs don't change, you will still be getting 4 commons and 1 rare on average, its just that they will be fully random again
also from the last patch there is a flag on the server that will mark a card as "collected" if at any point since the last patch(!) you had it in your collection, even if you decided to disenchant it, you will not be getting it from packs if there are still other cards missing in a given rarity in your collection that you never had before
hope my explanation is clear enough, there are tons of articles either on on this site, on reddit or others webistes or on official blizz channels

Hey!

The system is working for me

From the classic set or general commons? Ingame select the classic set, search for "missing common" and see what comes up.
would be pretty hilarious if you'd just get an empty pack if you have 2 of each from a particular set, though
