As you all know, we're getting a new class - Demon Hunter. With this, my biggest assumption is that we'll be getting a new class for every expansion this year. If that's the case and ONLY if that's the case... It'll be much more tedious to find specific cards in packs (unless you're rich with Arcane Dust)
so i had this thought - what if we had class packs?
What are class packs?: They're exactly what you think. Packs but you'll only get cards from the class that you open.
There would be a pack for each class
Druid Pack
Hunter Pack
Mage Pack
Paladin Pack
Priest Pack
Shaman Pack
Rogue Pack
Warrior Pack
Warlock Pack
Demon Hunter Pack
Neutral pack
and whatever other classes are introduced (perhaps death knight and monk)
So what do you think? Constructive criticism only.
It might be good, but their price must differ. And do they contain any neutral cards?
Other way of doing this would be a kind of a booster pack, of 10 or 20 cards total, with increased price, but class-restricted only.
I was thinking at least raise the price by 50 gold, but it could go either way. As for neutral - forgot to mention that there could also be neutral packs.
Sure they could save this massive surprise of classes 11 and 12 (Monk and Death Knight) for a later reveal, and everyone's gonna lose their mind over it.
But if you've been watching the reveal stream, they said that they've been tinkering with the idea of Demon Hunter for over three years. It took them that long to figure out a way to introduce a new class in a way that feels right to them. They wanted to get the classes' themes, mechanics, playstyles etc. worked out perfectly before making that big decision to add a new class. And while they haven't said "never again", I'm sure that they want to see how the introduction of Demon Hunter goes with the players, how it influences and impacts the game in all its modes etc., and they definitely need more than 4 months to assess if they got everything right, before even thinking about adding Monk or Death Knight. And from what it sounds, they might have been working on them, but are not even close to a point where these classes are conceptually as refined as Demon Hunter.
I think it's optimistic to think that the remaining two WoW classes are added within the next two years, and unworldly to assume it's all gonna happen this year.
Anyway, for Ashes of Outlands, they did not increase the volume of cards for the expansion (still 135), just the distribution of rarities and class cards vs. neutrals, with 25 legendaries instead of the normal 23, and all of Demon Hunter's cards, including his 5 extra cards, coming at the cost of less neutrals. So the expansion isn't any bigger than the previous ones, only slightly more expensive, and still within a fair limit. With 12 classes, and the need for 120 class cards per expansion, it'd probably be necessary to make expansions bigger. But if we stick with the current model, we could expect 29 legendaries, and with a necessary increase of the neutral pool, we'd have about 160 cards per expansion, maybe.
Still not something where Class packs are necessary, I think. Helpful perhaps to some, but not necessary. We just had Mage Class packs, and I haven't heard too many people being excited about them (so much for "too good", though maybe it was just the price). So, my guess is that the developers would have to figure out a different solution, if they wanted to add even more classes and increase the total number of new cards per expansion without making the game significantly more expensive and less interesting to everyone.

Getting 2 new classes in the next 2 years is realistic. Getting 2 new classes this year like creator of this post said is very unrealistic lol.
I would go out on a limb and say that the chance of us getting three new classes this year are actually 0%. I'd go as far as to say that not only is such an idea unrealistic, it's downright delusional. Beyond that, it's also completely undesirable. There's no upside to doing it that way instead of spending the year balancing the new class with the 9 old ones. Even two classes over two years is unrealistic and undesirable. If Monk and DK are gonna be added, expect there to be at least a gap of at the very minimum 2 years between each new class. It simply takes that long and also needs to take that long.

what is this pool? to good vs just right??? what about just putting it with normal pool and not 2 of the same things?
