I agree with you, A'dal would've been cool because right now there aren't naruus in Hearthstone :/
That and the fact that A'dal Prime had potential :P
Also, one of the cards is called hand of A'dal, maybe he'll be a Neutral Legendary? I hope so.
EDIT: Not a WoW lor expert, but aren't all legendary primes dead in canon? That would make sense in flavor theme due to them being revived, and a reason why A'dal is not a primer legendary.
EDIT 2: Nevermind, Msshi'fn is also alive. You've got no excuses here, Blizzard.
All this talk about class identity and we get a imprisoned murloc instead of a cool demon, and it's even a bad card since it's supposed to support aggro/tempo.
I got disappointed as well, specially after being hyped by the Librams...
But keep your head cool and don't dust this immediatelly after receiving it as your free legendary or within the first 10 packs!
A 2 mana 2/1 divine shield contests the board really well, and the Prime is a big boy that also fills your board AND gives them Divine Shield. It can even summon the non-prime again and start another chain.
With absolute 0 Murloc support, this card is good enough to be slotted in a Paladin deck by itself.
Unpopular opinion: I love the Paladin murloc memes and wouldn't have it any other way! The idea of murlocs being knights of the light is hilarious and far more to my taste than conventional high-and-mighty knights.
Granted, I've never played WoW or any other Blizzard game for that matter, so obviously I don't have the nostalgia for certain characters that many other people have. In fact, I prefer characters that are Hearthstone specific, more goofy and fun than serious and dramatic. Nemsy is a great example; when she was unveiled as the first alternative warlock hero, lots of people were complaining about apparently iconic WoW warlocks being overlooked in favour of a completely new character. But I love her!
Lady Liadrin is a 'real' lore character, right? I think it's perfectly fine to have one serious and goofy legendary character. But you have every right to be disappointed of course, I just wanted to give a different perspective.
Yeah i mean i like the idea of paladin murlocs, its whimsical and fun and totally hearthstone, but outland is just so ripe with paladins or light related characters i just wish theyd save the murlocs for another expansion haha. Librams are awesome and super flavorful!
Sorry, but, i like it, Paladin murlocs are a really spicy thing in hearthstone, and yea, sure, one can hate them, or the their agrevise archtypes, but, i swear that every time a new expansion is revealed, im looking for 3 things, a cool legendary that will be my golden craft, a magma rager cousin, and the shaman and paladin murlocs. Mostly of their desings are cool to me. and i keep with my desire of having a maelstrom /naga expansion and get murlocs for every class, i want to see what blizzard thinks when we make mage murlocs, hunter murlocs, etc.
I agree with the fact that it's fine to have Murlocs be a thing for Pala every now and then. But as a Prime, they should've went with a huge lore character, simple as that. They dropped the ball here.

Definitely a great card in either deck. Body helps you manage the board as control, and then gives you a very huge bomb late game that will not be easy to deal with for most. Also spares you a fatigue if that ever matters.
Time will tell if Murgur is a passable control finisher; given the pool of available murlocs, I'm highly skeptical. Even though they get Divine Shield, hoping to high roll for another Murgur isn't a great place to be in.
As far as theme goes, I'm tired of murlocs, especially in Paladin. This could have been an awesome Draenei or Human hero, but instead we just got some random murloc with cooking implements attached to its hands. Not thrilled about opening this card, even if it does turn out to be a good finisher for the libram deck.
I definitely agree that flavor-wise, having murlocs in the Outland expansion doesn't really make sense. I know that Hearthstone is its own separate thing, and they only care about the WoW flavor stuff when it's convenient, but really, I don't think there even ARE any murlocs in the Outland. This I think is just a joke/meme that the creators haven't gotten tired of yet - damn that Murloc Knight.
Primes and Imprisoned Creatures are kind of the theme of the expansion, so I'm bummed both were sort of silly Murlocs.
But at the same time... I LOVE the Librams, and Liadrin and I don't think there's too much missing from that package. Healing, buffing, hard removal, card recovery.
I really wanted one of the Warlock legendaries to be either Kil’Jaeden or Archimonde. The prime Legendary for Warlock has not been revealed yet, but I seriously doubt it’s going to be one of them :( I’m crossing my fingers that it’s not something gimmicky or a ton of randomness or I’ll feel like Blizzard missed a huge opportunity

Neither of them are actually in Outland as bosses, and I don't think it'd really be fitting to take the two most powerful arch villains in WarCraft and make them into minions. You'd have to come up with some crazy summoning mechanic like Azari or something.
Can you imagine having an Archimonde four drop or something. A character who is capable of annihilating cities single-handedly...? That wouldn't fit the flavour of him at all.

You make a good point. However, both of them come out of raids for The Burning Crusade. Archimonde in Mount Hyjal (caverns of time) and Kil’jaeden from Sunwell Plateau. I get that they aren’t technically in Outland, but so far the devs have taken bosses and put them directly onto cards. Since Kil’Jaeden was the final boss of the expansion, I thought he might have a really good chance of showing up in AoO.
i must admit, I’m baffled as to what the other warlock legendary is.
I absolutely detest Murlocs in Paladin and hope they kick that out. Thematically it makes 0 sense, and while I understand HS has elements of comic relief they can do that without completely wrecking the flavour (e.g. Lost in the Jungle, Carl and George). Murlocs are feral creatures who hunt in packs, not ordered, disciplined soldiers.
Prime is a good card. It's a Murloc though.

No A'dal legendary? Or vindicator Maraad? Or the litany of other big light characters?
I got nothing against murloc paladin but man this seems so out of place, couldn't they have pushed this in a more thematic expansion?

Yeeah the murloc prime seems to be a bit off compared to the others...
Completely agree.

I like Paladin with murlocs or Libram.

What's wrong with some guys... paladin prime minion suits in a ton of decks. Not only in murlocadin.
BTW I agree. Theme wise it doesn't make sense
Was talking about the imprisoned minion, who is a murloc for some reason and a really weird 1 drop that only gives you about 2 mana value turn 3.
Compared to other imprisoned minions this is just crap.
The prime might be decent, looks a bit meh compared to the others tho, weird expac for a silly murloc legendary.
