Hello guys , do you think that the free pack they give should also be given to the loyal players and thoses who did put money on the game and not just afk players and new ones ?
Blizzard's business model is done with the assumption that nobody plays HS for a long time. Their purpose is to convince players to spend money on packs, that's all. If they like the game, that's great. If not, that's fine. What's important is to make sure the source of income is always increasing.
Hope everything is clear for you. Have a good day!
We have been rewarded. I don't see why this should bother you. Someone who earns gold more than those who are new or gone. If you don't like this deal you can always walk away and wait for the next welcome back goodie bag. I am going to assume you're an adult and took some sort of business class in Highschool. You should know how simple this concept is. If you have cable, cell service, etc you know they offer deals to new/returning customers. Its just how it works. It does make sense. However your cable company hasnt given you free packs or legendary cards like we've been gettin . We just got a lot of packs last month that new or returns wont get and we are likely way ahead on collection.
Imma lay it down for you as simple as i can. If blizzard doesnt start doing something to interest and lure new players, sooner or later playerbase will shrink, and you will be left waiting 734 minutes for a game. And while you wait you will come back to the forums complaining about why blizzard did nothing to prevent that from happening.
Also, over the past year or so we got plenty of free legendaries, packs, events etc. Also over time they changed dust rewards from quest (if you were such a loyal player you would have noticed that). And then they are changing the ranking system so we all get more free stuff each month for just playing the game, but there you are complaining that you get nothing.
To be fair, its reasons like this why people become afk in the first place, Blizzard doesn't reward loyal players so they leave, but they reward when they come back.
Its part of their business plan to make you spend more, if you stop playing and then come back later, you'll have to pay or be left behind in the competition even with the coming back rewards.
The only thing you can do is roll with the punches or leave forever. Only way to win is to not play. Especially true with blizzard lately.

I think the reason why people were stopping playing is because it is very tiresome to get enjoyable collection as FTP. Now, we are getting duplicate protection + new ranked reward system with will reward loyal and also new players a lot.
Imho people just think that if they will be complaining whole the time they will maybe force blizzard to give them something for free. I say: thank the devs/pms at blizzard for those changes and a lot of new content - they did admirable job and made good decisions to improve the quality and affordability of the game.
How many free legendaries have we received that new players haven't? Snip Snap, Archmage Vargoth, not to mention the recent legendary quests we got that reward packs and increased gold and dust. I'm happy that they seem to be wanting to bring in new players - and based on their recent actions I don't believe veteran players are going to be left behind, I'm sure they have more rewards for all players in the pipeline.
Well, the player who get cucked the most is the player who play every 3 days to finish quests and then buy bunch of packs at the start of the new expansion just to get the worst legendary from it.
the problem is giving the decks to everyone both current and new/returning players doesn't hurt any of the players and helps the entire playerbase. But by not doing that though they are both fostering resentment and punishing the casual players who don't play very often&/ or are losing interest in the game and seeing some new player getting free legendaries that they don't have might be enough to push them into quitting forever.

True but if I'm already unhappy with my cable company and see they are giving new customers a month free and I call them and complain they usually will give me the same offer cause they know it's easier to retain a customer than risk them leaving (which a decent chunk of customers will do) and having to try to win them back. If they say "no tough luck" and I have different options I will probably take them, especially when other competing companies are offering me the same or better deal to jump ship to them. If i'm already unhappy with HS there are many alternatives and players perceiving they are getting shafted (even if they aren't) is going to hurt more than help
AFK players didn't receive cards like Vargoth, Sathrovarr, SN1P-SN4P, quests with dust, seasonal chests rewards, etc...
The lists aren't even 100% optimized, it's a decent list for someone just returning, but far from being competitive. I mean, look at the Mage's list and compare it with the highest winrate one, even taking out the Luna's. The Warrior and Paladin decks are a joke, there's also plenty of Basic/Classic cards in there, so people will very rarely get 20+ cards they don't already have.
I started in the middle of Kobolds, and looking at the dust cost of most of these decks, when Witchwood released I could already craft more than one and more expensive ones.
OP, what do you do for a living? In fact, anyone, crying about this, what do you do for a living?
My immediate guess is people like this are students, unemployed or low in the food chain at whatever job they have. I find it difficult to believe that many will be in well paid, good jobs where they need to have a certain level of business acumen and understand why places have to make certain decisions because they have had to make judgement calls or similar decisions and can empathise.
Whatever job the cry babies do or don't have, I am positive that people will accuse them or the companies they work for of being useless, incompetent, money grabbing etc so why are you any better?
No it's not a part of their business plan. If you knew anything about runing B2C business you would have know that keeping audience engaged and loyal an important part of their long term success. In fact, chances for players to come back after one or two expansions are rather slim IMO.
And if you played this game for longer than a year and paid at least a tiny bit of attention they are doing alot these days to keep the player base happy (events, freebies, nerf/buffs, increased daily quest rewards etc.). Losing players is bad for them, period. Stop looking for second bottom or some sort of conspiracy strategy. F2P games are sustainable only as long as there is enough players around.
*barf* I guess I don’t deserve anything unless I spend $300-$2500 dollars on bunch of electrons representing cards that I don’t even own.
Newsflash you and I are not responsible for the livelihood of Hearthstone staff and employees. If you and I don’t spend money of this game and they go bankrupt we are not at fault and never will be.
So stop flexing your loyalty and money muscles and let others enjoy their free whatever no matter how much they spend or don’t.
I tell you what, since you like spending that much then why don’t you buy the company then issue the order to not give freeloaders free packs.

I don't care - I play HS ,other don't - if they want to play due to some free benefit - well be my guest.

it's okay i guess... not that i care much. at higher ranks people always use meta decks, so why not give em to lower rank players as well?
Highest rank: #840 Wild Legend w/ Mecha'thun OTK Warlock (March 2020)
Wild Legend w/ Kingsbane Rogue (December 2023)
