I too would advise against dusting wild cards. At times I was very close to dusting my Sylvanas, because I wasn't planning on playing Wild and I needed the dust. I'm glad I didn't do it, because now I'm playing Wild very often. The best thing to do if you need dust very badly, but you don't want to DE some important card is to check out which cards are good in Wild and which you probably won't need.
That's a good point tho but, do you really think they would make the "new" mode be dependent on wild sets?
Didn't they kinda announce it to be a newish arena style?
It says: "Brand new way to play, fueled by your collection, similar in scope and scale to Arena (but not gameplay)".
Could be a tournament format, could be a co-op format, could be something entirely new that isn't even playing like regular Hearthstone, like Battlegrounds.
Either way, I think it's more likely to be focused on Standard initially, but my guess is that eventually Wild sets will be part of it as well. After Wild mode was introduced, most Tavern Brawls were Standard only for quite a while, but throughout last year, most of the Constructed Brawls allowed you to use all cards with a few that were "banned". I think that's also what will happen with the new mode. But it's all speculation for now.
You should only dust c'Thun, Beckoner of Evil, Elite Tauren Chieftain, Marin The Fox, Sn1p Sn4p, the 5 versions of Galakrond, Gelbin Mekkatorque, Sathovarr, and Zayle Shadow Cloak.

Loll... And don't forget about the weekly brawls where you have to make a deck.... I don't know the exact math, but that's definetly more than 1500 packs dusted for maybe 25 golden cards... omg
The cards that will go to wild will surely not get nerfed during the next week. so it's safe to DE them if you want to. I play mostly wild these days and DE'd all but 2 of each. Hope this makes sense.. drunk and english is not my 1st language... staySafe

You gotta let people do them but yeah it's a TERRIBLE tradeoff.
I personally don't understand destroying half of your collection just to make some cards shiny, but again it's to each their own.
Is there any point in waiting till release of the new xpac before you disenchant the upcoming wild sets?
Cheers
Not really. Unless you plan on playing wild. I wouldn't dust cards you enjoy playing personally but if you want the extra dust, then go for it
I've never enjoyed wild so was thinking of dusting all upcoming wild sets and go full golden DH :)
The cards aren't only used in Wild, but in PvE content, like adventures, Tavern Brawls, and possibly hinted-at new play modes coming this year.

Do all 3 sets from 2018 rotate out on the same day?
I dusted wild sets when they released MSoG and I hated that decision so much, and it took a lot of time to restore parts of my collection.
My reason was that "I'll never play wild" and now I am mostly playing wild.
i only dust cards, i've never ever used and never will
Wild cards are also used during most non-random-decks brawls.

See you in 6 months when you cry and ask for your cards back as they introduce a new game mode that uses wild cards.

If I had a dollar for everyone who has dusted cards and regretted it, I could have an entire golden collection.
