Does anybody have a suggestion for this specific scenario?
I don’t care if I play with golden or non-golden cards, but keep my golden copies so if the card gets Hall of Famed and/or nerfed, I max out my dust refund.
I have some cards where I have 1 golden and 1 non-golden and have been hoping to eventually open a second non-golden copy, so if it’s gets HOF/nerfered, I can dust my golden version and still have 2 non-golden cards to play with.
Now, with the non-duplicate change, if you disenchant a card, it will not be considered “missing” and thus it will be random if you get another copy (i.e., you will not get the “duplication protection” if you dusted that card).
Does this mean that, if I want a complete collection, I need to make a decision now, before the non-duplicate rule gets implemented, do either A) dust all my golden cards now (before non-duplication rule does into effect) where 1 of my 2 copies is golden, so the card will be considered “missing” (after the non-duplication rule goes into effect) and I can fill in my collection easier with duplicate protection and take advantage of the dust now or B) do not dust my goldens (again, where 1 of my 2 copies is golden) and commit to playing with a golden copy until I *randomly* get a non-golden copy, which could be never because I have 2 card copies (1 golden and 1 non-golden) and thus no duplication protection.
Am I thinking about how this works the right way?
With A, I get the dust to use now, but won’t get the “bonus” golden card dust if a card goes HOF or nerfed. With B, the opposite, I get the HOF/nerf golden card dust bonus, but I miss out, maybe forever, on the dust locked into a golden card when I’d just as soon have a non-golden card. I’m leaning towards A, because HOF/nerf is rare and it’s very unlikely I’ll randomly get a “missing” card without the duplicate protection in place. Does this make sense?
i have golden and non golden leeroy... :D:D Dust rain inc
You only get the dust of a golden leeroy. You get the dust value of the maximum number of that card you can put in your deck (legendary, so one) and the most valuable version (golden).
Too long to read, long story short, you get the dust from the better versions of the cards aka golden (in case you have both). I wont dust anything since i play wild and im counting on dust refund only.
