Calling it right now, Northshire Cleric and Divine Spirit are going to the HOF, plus either mindgames or shadowform.
I would be astounded if cleric got HoF'd, because that's been part of a playstyle the dev team has leaned in to. Their reasoning for Velen going away was he was part of a playstyle they had no intention of helping. Assuming they're doing rarity swap for same rarity, we need to lose a legendary (we know Velen is going), an epic, 2 rares, and 2 base set cards.
I'm banking my money being shadowform being the epic we lose, as it's again a playstyle they don't really like, kind of goes against priest theme, and takes up a valuable slot. The new AOE is much better for that position. The basic cards will probably be divine spirit (legitimately surprised this is the hit though, and not inner fire. But no new common cards, so I think it's a safe bet that it survives the rotation), and probably mind control. A card just far too swingy for it's own good. It's so expensive that it can't be run, but if a meta ever becomes too slow, it ends up becoming a dominant issue. As for the rares...erm, lightwell I guess, as it does something that is far too unreliable and low impact, and priest can do it already so consistently that it's just taking up a slot. The other rare though...I am not confident in making a call. I guess holy fire or mass dispel, but I again am unsure. Neither have been especially useful for the class though.
The new one drops suggest Cleric may be finally leaving. Let's be real: it is the most oppressive 1 cost card in basic and classic. You are often forced to kill it with a heavier removal or unable to play your own cards.
more of the same.......... won't buy a single pack.....borefest. The game devs are brain-dead. This will satisfy low IQ voters though and that makes up 90% of the blizzard base. Have fun with this trash. As usual, this website is way behind the times. I knew this 12 hours ago..... digested the content in 60 seconds and laughed...more of the same as predicted.

Is this the whole thing do you guys think? I think Shadow Form is more useful than Mind Games, but not by much.
And honestly Divine Spirit is a way bigger problem than Inner Fire. Without Divine Spirit, Inner Fire is likely at most a highly situational +10 attack for 1 mana. Not that good. Inner Fire is also a potential win condition (which priest doesn't have too many of with these changes) while Divine Spirit is kind of a cheat card.
I think they'd cut Holy Fire before they'd cut Mass Dispel. Mass Dispel is an AMAZING tech card that has seen lots of play, while Holy Fire doesn't fit what they want for the priest identity.
Ok, so you are saying that only people with low IQ enjoy hearthstone and yet, you are on the forums posting about this? This is a community that are just getting excited and that is within the peoples rights true? Just because you dont feel the same, dont hate on everyone else. As for us low IQ people who enjoy the game.... i feel it would be better to be on that low level of IQ than be miserable like you fella!

Not so much about what is useful in terms of shadow form vs mind games, since they both see about as much play as the other, but rather theme and play style. The proposed changes show a clear move towards "steal" priest, and less away from face damage priest.
In terms of divine spirit, yeah, that's probably right I guess inner fire is "fine", though Amet sure does make it a scary card still.
And as I said, I was not confident on any of the rares. I agree it'll probably be holy fire before mass dispel, but we'll have to see.

Who took the jelly out of your donut?
We're finally getting a new class, plus priest changes seem good, they won't be needing to print so many broken cards for priest anymore just to make it playable.
9 classes is already pushing it as too many. MTG utilizing only 5, provides so much in terms of “class” identity/strengths/weaknesses. Adding another class to HS only further waters down an already diluted roster. I’d rather see new ideas and mechanics integrated into improving the classes we already have.

Technically MTG has a lot more than that. I'd consider everything up to 4 colors a "class," so that's 25 - 5 1 color, 10 2-color, and 10 3-color.
If this is true, the play rate of Demon Hunter would be even higher than Quest Shaman after Uldum, so Im gonna craft a counter deck for that. Blizzard cant even balance 9 classes, and they just add another... :-D
Mass Hysteria RIP, good to have had you, I'd take thee back at 6 rather than both 4-cost aoe together, might be wrong, time will tell. And why of all classes Priest gets 1 mana 3 dmg? A bit weird. Natalie should cost 7, and be 7/1, on account of Velen's spot. PW:S is dead now, why? Guess - they're not HoF'ing DS/IF. Priest or Warlock should've gotten the Soul Cleave, not a face class, it's a demonish card.
Demon Hunter cards look like a bunch of cards that should be available for Hunter as well as Warlock, and I guess Druid (just because it's +attack to hero and no weapons or otherwise it'd be in Warrior's league). Then make two more classes like that which would fit another trio. Makes a good story line, anyway ( I have no clue about that ). Overfiend <> Batterhead, neither is strictly better by any means, but Overfiend's a good card nonetheless, big like.
Why not? Priest core set got ultra buff. Zetalot digust the divine spirit combo . Cleric leaving is hurt sure, but just the card draw is missing, early game Priest has so many removals now. Holy fire, SW Pain, Shadow madness will kill all aggro with ease from now on.

Perhaps you didn't notice, but it no longer draws a card. Pretty huge nerf without the draw.

Now zetalot has nothing to play :(

In death, I exact my revenge!

The death of Hearthstone you mean? If they don't handle this correctly 3-4 months it's gonna go into oblivion of 100-300k players
The goal of all life is death.
What about Paladin classic set? It seems that a paladin just a worse priest :(
So in the end they killed Priest.
So, new class and new cards and no economy balance,no achievements, no Hearthstone 2.0...sad... i do not really know what i expected...
