Look, the game is just not fun unless you have lethal next turn on a Rogue and they go Lackey -> Heistbaron -> Wondrous Wand -> Draw Galakrond, play for free -> Draw Kronx, play for free, wipe your board -> Shadowstep, if you don't ALSO have to pick your way through the Rogue Discovering all sorts of bs dragons and spells on their preceding turns.
Lackeys are pretty awful, it sucks when playing against rogue. But I guess it's the price of doing business right now.
Lackeys aren't awful, it's just that anything that is abused non-stop is monotonous, repetitive and boring. That's why sucks playing against rogues, they generate too many lackeys, that's all.
I enjoy the lackey mechanic tremendously. I main Rogue, but Shaman is a close second. Lackey's are a very small part of Shaman play right now, but as others have suggested, in Rogue they are nothing short of monumental.
Many times, the perfect lackey has shown up to throw a taunt on something to save my life. Other times, a lackey has generated that gave me just enough reach to close out a game.
To balance those experiences out, many times I've got lackeys that helped in no way whatsoever, cluttered my hand and forced a burn of an important card, etc.
They are fun, and add a cool RNG factor and new element to the game. I enjoy them tremendously.

That's what I be sayin' in a nutshell. The only problem with lackeys is rogue now that quest shaman is rare. But it is problematic. Not that I'm calling for a Nerf, it is was it is.

I also detest lackeys very much. The whole aspect of such cheap card generation is too much for me. They would have been great for last 6 months of the rotation, but now we have to live with them for another year.
Little bit. Not as sick of it as when we had Genn/Baku Even/Odd, but still, when a mechanic is this prevalent for this long it gets kinda boring.
Unfortunately, I'd half expect Lackeys to probably stay around even longer, since when the rotation happens, more non-Lackey cards will be rotating out. Maybe the new stuff will utterly reshape a lot of decks, but we'll see.
The only time I did not like lackeys was when, pre DoD it seemed that Quest Shaman was able to generate more lackeys than Rogue! (Admittedly a Rogue aficionado here!!!! :-) (4x exclamation points and smiley facelol) ).
After a rogue randomly generates dragon lackey which randomly generates two dragon queen Alex's that didnt start in their deck, it starts to get a little old
The only reason why lackeys are a problem for people at the moment is because of Rogues and shaman being able to generate so many of them and exploiting them with their mechanics.
Especially Rogue being able to combo with them and generating so much random value that is impossible to realistically counter because of its random nature.
