Although it has rotated out I always thought Sudden Genesis would be better and more used than it was. Bloodsworn Mercenary is used frequently but SG was never used, I guess the cost was a bit too high.
i always liked Dr. Morrigan, but I think a mixture of cost and a lack of compatible cards stymied it’s use. Now it’s basically a lucky pull to get off of Arch Thief Rafaam, but I always wanted a reliable Darkest Hour deck for it. Might as well through Harbinger Celestia in there too
I'll go with Shadowform. This card might be good at 2 mana or if it recieved some support cards but as it is, "pay 3 mana and lose your healing ability for nothing" or "pay 5 mana ditto deal 2 damage" is pretty damn laughable. Would be fun if one day a couple cards were printed that began, "if you are in shadowform.."
Sweeping Strikes is actually really useful if you attach it to a sticky minion. And even if you don't, it's still a 2 cost deal copious amounts of damage.
Much underrated and at least a 1-of in nearly all my Warrior decks.
Dude, Haunting Visions is a great card. It's a 0 cost discover a spell (when you have a card that cost 3 or more), and it's insane with spirit of the frog.

Well, celestial never really seemed good, to be fair.
well, perhaps it should never be considered good, but in this topic Lady in White deserves her spot. I think one of the most over hyped cards ever (I do admit i jumped in a hype train back in the day)
Cumulo Maximus. A card that should be good, but seemed over-shadowed by other archetypes or in this case, Shaman is just bad. I am sure this card will see play some day.

Ooh. I love talking about this kind of thing. I think Colossus of the Moon deserves a mention here, because you'd think he'd be great in Big decks/Res decks, but he sees barely any play in either.

Meta is too aggro with swing turns being out of control like they are are holding it back for it to really be a thing. I play hakkar in my rez priest and if you draw that damn, you're usually stuck holding it for a long time due to how much of a commitment 10 mana requires.
Grandmummy 9-10 stats for 2 mana, for a short time it was ok with a Wretched Reclaimer on turn 3. Its the kind of fun minion based play people want when they face priest (according to rez priest salt thread). It doesn't survive to turn 3 now though, and not enough there for later game.

Would be so cool, but I'm almost 100% sure this will never happen. And it's really a shame, considering how important Shadowform actually is to Priest's identity lore-wise. Other cardgames would possibly design entire (class-)sets around this idea, or create Priest from the ground up as a class where multiple cards behave differently under Shadowform. Imagine half of all Priest cards being better (or worse) in Shadowform, and you could switch gears midgame if you entered Shadowform. But Hearthstone likes very simple designs, and giving cards bonus effects or different effects based on a specific modifier to your hero power is probably too complex. I once thought that Shadowform would give you a permanent effect of Auchenai Soulpriest because of the meaningful-looking change of your hero portrait, and was really disappointed when I found out it just changes the heropower.
And even if you make very simple effects, like a spell that deals 1 extra damage in Shadowform or a minion getting a special battlecry, I'd be very surprised if they picked that up now. They could have included such an effect in Classic or one of the first expansions, and establish it as a core mechanic of Priest, but they haven't even tried once in 6 years, and considering how they treat the Classic and Basic sets in general these days, I doubt they have any interest in highlighting a specific card from those sets. I mean, just look at Radiance. Though I could imagine that we'll get a legendary someday that just casts the spell, like a 6 mana 6/5 Battlecry: Cast Shadowform.
In your opinion, what is a card that looks like it should be good, even great, but has never truly had a chance to shine?
Haunting Visions is my choice off the top of my head. It is essentially a mix of Primordial Glyph and prenerf Preparation. I do see it occasionally, but not nearly as much as I saw/see Primordial Glyph.

This is one of my favorite subjects!

Undatakah should have been good and interesting but never got the right death rattles to combo with

Archmage Arugal decent stat line and in minion centered decks could duplicate minions and add value to your hand. Was not very used in many decks

It’s been out for nearly a year and a half, and last week was the first time I saw someone put it on Zilliax and get a ton of heal—I was shocked!
+1 to this.

Dragonrider Talritha, Dragon Speaker and Frizz Kindleroost are all good card in paper.
Amber Watcher good stat, dragon, heal a lot on any target. Too bad Dragon Paladin doesn't exist, even if they really tried to push this archetype

Ramkahen Wildtamer has premium stats and gives card advantage, but never sees play because the 3-mana slot in hunter has so much competition.
