I came back to hearthstone this week after about 2 1/2 months off and almost every rogue i play gets a 0 cost galakrond and all the crazy combos that come with it. the vast majority of galakrond rogue decks will be pretty much unscathed at the rotation so i would have to imagine that either galakrond himself will be nerfed or hiestbaron will. hopefully this post doesn't come across as salty i'm legitimately curious if people have been feeling this way for a while or not?
Rogue is out of hand atm. Problem is not just Galakrond itself, but those infinite lackeys adds the flavour. Not to mention that early Edwin Vancleef.. Every time i'm playing against a Rogue, i have the feeling that they have the anwser to everything i play, no matter the stage of the match.
They won't nerf it yet. New cards and a huge rotation in April. Who knows what fresh hell awaits.
Yup, Blizz themselves said they are waiting till after next expansion before a balance patch. We could see dozens of cards get rotated out and replaced with a core set.
I got Legend with Galakrond Control Warlock feasting on Rogues last month. Still doing decent with it, and still favourite against Rogue.
Except for early Edwins, Quest Druid and Embiggen Druid also are heavily favoured.
The thing is, none of these matchups feel unwinnable for Rogue, as they can also highroll bizarrely and discover outs. They will lose most of the time, but it's almost never polarizing defeats. That's why it's so good.
Got to legend two days ago and all the druids and hunters gave me a really hard time.
Mech pally too if you don't draw your early removals or lackey generators. Often you don't have the time to play a toggwaggle because you cannot survive without romoving the threats on the board. It's just a huge tempoloss.
Quest druid and quest hunter and even quest pally are almost autoloss for rogue.
So there are enough counters yet and will be after rotation.
They need to nerf a lot more than Rogue. Time to stop the insane card generation for every class and get this game back to requiring some type of skill and strategy versus high roll casino garbage. Wins arent earned in this game at all right now. Its 100% based on "did I draw or discover whatever answer/broken card/lackey/spell I needed"? If yes, you win, if no you lose. This game needs serious work.
Roque is not busted per se, she does have the best Galakrond in the game, but drawing the right cards for the right situation still remains more relevant than being the deck with the strongest Highrolls. (Roque might very well take the crown here)
The issue is simply the sheer prevalence of this class in ranked, due to kids following their favorite streamers most of whom have a notorious tendency for picking Roque because it "looks best on stream".
If my starting hand includes 2 or more of the following: togwaggle, flik, leeroy, galakrond, kronx, or faceless corrupter, i've already lost the game. And this happens quite often. Sometimes I would be so unlucky and never invoke more than twice before being rushed by hunters and warriors. So rogue isn't all powerful, only when we have our removals early game.

Yes lets go back to the good old days where Face Hunter would put down two 2/1 lepers, and their best cards were timber wolf and unleash the hounds..
Oh wait, except Unleash the Hounds was a 1 mana spell that gave all beasts +1/1 and would be a OTKO at turn 5.
Or areyou talking about the point in time when Molten Giant was in Standard and everything was hunky dory?
Except Warriors would punish you by putting down free 8/8s with charge when they were at 15 health, and killing you unless you had a taunt?
There was also the patch after, where they'd spam grim patrons and get frothing berserker to 40 damage with whirlwinds.
Or when Mages would just spam hundreds of freezes until they drew out a OTKO combo, while being given a free turn due to Ice Block being uncounterable.
There was also not too long ago when Shamans could bounce infinite 1 mana Shudderwocks to their hand that would clear the board, heal them, and do 3 damage to you each time.

I play most rogue, more than 6K wins, I can say:
Any hunter deck eat rogues for breakfeast.
Mech paladin, token druid and aggro Galakrond (warrior or warlock) give rogue a very hard time.
Highlander mage is a race for who make the crazy turn tempo swing first, in general the rogue have the advantage but I don't call a free win.
Any other decks are easy for rogues.

'They better focus on hunter first. They have the highest win rate and the most different decks.
