There's always been players that keep Bad mannering spamming well played and the like, so that's nothing surprising.
What is surprising is the amount of people that is doing it, in the last couple of weeks (i'm at rank 5 for reference), I think I've had 2 opponents not spam the "well played" emote dozens of times the moment they get their swing turns, (usually after playing a galakrond for example).
I'm already getting used to muting people at the start of a match because of this, but am I the only one experiencing this increase in BM opponents?
This is a non-issue, just squelch your opponent if you don't like it. Maybe the big reveal soon is that long awaited auto-mute function for people like yourself.
i love it when they go well played and then i get my miracle swing turn and they stay silent as I slowly toy with their board and hp lol, oh and then finish them with a well played of your own
I don’t get why people always get so triggered by emotes. It’s just meaningless taunting which you can ignore or squelch with a press of the button. It’s not that hard to press a button, people.
The more annoying form of BM is deliberate roping, since that actually wastes your time and there is no real way to counter it other than roping yourself in retaliation, which makes the game go even longer.

People are wired differently. Just because one person isn't triggered, doesn't mean another person won't be. Getting triggered by bm isn't even indicative of skill level. Viper, who went 2nd to hunterace in hct last year, squelches in his streams.
Yes, it's a button, but clicking that button every single match gets tedious quickly. Not to mention it's very possible to forget/overlook doing it. A tick box in the options menu to "automate" this menial task will be greatly appreciated. Third party softwares can do it, why cant the base game.
You have to click a few buttons to mulligan at the start of every game too, you also have to play cards. But clicking twice on a hero portrait to squelch is too much "menial labour"? I have to wonder about the mental fortitude of some players, no wonder many can't apply themselves and play a deck that isn't just ripped from the internet.
This has reminded me that one player actually blew up at me yesterday because I emoted Well Played (once) at the end of a game. He added me after to ask me why I "BM'd", called me names and told me I only won by luck. Then he unfriended right away. Unstable people venting their frustrations on character voicelines. It won't be long until these players are making the excuse that because they forgot to squelch it tilted them for the next game and affected their performance.

I never said it is indicative of skill level. It is, however indicative of emotional and mental fortitude. If you can’t even cope with a faceless person online using a limited repertoire of six emotes, I wonder how can you possibly live in society with all the worse things people can say and do to you in real life.

They just can't. That's the answer. It's pretty obvious they aren't functional members of this society. Sad but true.
Every day of my life, I have to deal with mean people. I have been used to that since I was a child, and it's something that will never change, no matter what I do. The same thing happens to most people out there. We live in a beautiful world, that's true, but we are not alone, because assholes and retards are also part of it. They want to crush us!!! They want to torture us!!! They would kill us if they had the opportunity and the law wouldn't exist!!! >:-(
Anyone who is not aware of such a thing lives under a rock and/or loves to deny reality, history, human nature and everything around him.
Having said that, someone enlight me, please, because for me, complaining about some stupid emotes in a video game is beyond ridiculous!!!

Just like extra deck slots, I feel this might be too "confusing" for the average HS player ; )
I also hate that kind of people, especially when they touch their hero, cards, their Power Hero or mine
I don't get this at all. You don't like it when people mouse over their cards etc? Why? I often take a closer look at the card art during my opponent's turn, especially if it's a beautiful golden. What's wrong with that?
Please stop being such a snowflake. It makes me sick because in my life, having to work all kinds of hard awful jobs and being falsely accused of a felony I have never had the luxury of avoiding the ruder sides of people.
Then every so often one of these "the emotes make me sad" threads pop up and it makes me so jealous of what a safe and sheltered life some of you must have had that such a little thing bothers you.
I'm just telling you now it makes you sound like a very privilidged and soft person especially when the solution to whats bothering you is so simple.

I mute everyone after any emote and never emote. You emote me hello, I don’t emote back and mute you. I hate emotes and that’s how I deal with it.
For a few years now I just squelch at the start of the game...it’s a habbit now and never bothers me.
"am I the only one"?
Answer is and will always be no

I honestly don't know why after so many years auto-squelch hasn't been implemented.
Deck trackers have had this add-on for quite a long time now.

Always silence my opponents, I tried to play without silencing but there are always clown and pedantic people. It became a habit.
I hope he implements something so he doesn't see what he plays with his mouse and like my screen for my opponent.

Emotes are love! Emotes are life!
