Priest is a class that so badly wants to play midrange but just doesn't quite have the tools. And what really sucks, is that expansion after expansion they are always "80%" there, but not quite there.
They always get cards like madam lazul that standalone are actually insanely good cards, but are just not supported by the rest of the deck. Lazul herself is actually one of the better hearthstone cards ever printed. Fair body that provides very helpful information AND "draws" you a card on 3 mana is actually bonkers, but not enough so that it's worth screwing your Rez pool.
The only time priest is good outside of a rez deck is when divine spirit shenanigans is going on. And that is also not fun to play against either. The bottom line is we are due for a midrange priest deck that can actually do things proactively. 3/4 of all cards priest get are reactive, and I have no idea why this became the theme for priest. Hell, they are the ONLY one that got a reactive galakrond. It is the only galakrond of the 5 that you don't necessarily want to slam down once fully invoked. One of their invoke cards is also, you guessed it, entirely reactive.
With priest the issue as I see it is overpolarizing cards. Convincing Infiltrator is a 2 mana 2/6 taunt (casts deadly shot and the 3/1 that rezzes with reborn is decent even if it hits itself. These are two examples of cards that you will pretty much always put in your deck unless there's a real reason not to. Seeing them on repeat leads to very boring experiences. Maybe try and balance cards in priest so not only a few are usable?
is it not fun to be on a high horse and look down on others? is it not the best feeling in the world if one of those idiots responds to you? Do you feel better now? Let me make an educated guess: You play Overwatch as well and love to shame Bronze players?
Now, feel better my friend and may God bless you and your loved ones
i was totally crushing a mage with my res priest deck this morning, he had no cards left and sent the yogg saron box…. damn it he got a 10/10 card, he sent zephrys and got a duplicate card and so with his two 10/10 cards he totally roled on me ^^' a F**ing mage bro !!!
please guys, i know you think the res priest is like a cancer, but if you stay in the game and know your deck you can totally win.
All along that game i was saying to myself "damn, the guy doesn't give up, all he sends is worthless and i'm gonna crush him soooo hard but he still goes on" and he was soooooo right to keep it up because he won.
If you don't win against res priest it could be because of bad luck with the mulligan or the draw, but seriously you can often win against it and with many decks and classes, and you don't always need a transformation card.
keep confident in your deck that's all.
but i think the real problem isn't the deck, it's that nowadays people want to win quick and easy…. and when you have to play more than 10minutes and lose you totally freak out and call the opponents deck trash.
again i say it, no offence but if playing a 10-15 minute game and losing (because you don't know how to counter it) is what bothers you, go play UNO ;) i often encounter this deck and sometimes i win, sometimes i lose. that's the game so don't come and expose your tilt on the net because you could talk about boost druids or face hunters also...

Ah I see, all you need is to stay confident in your deck, play out the entire deck and then luck out on the last rng-card you have to win. Ez.
if this is your answer, you clearly don't know what this whole game is about ;)
You have to keep confident in your deck and play it well in order to win, if you constently lose, change your deck because it's bad.
if it's a good deck ? then either you had bad luck, either you played it bad (what happens most of the time but people are more likely to go whine on the net about some deck they can't beat rather to assume theyr lack of experience with a certain deck).
Every deck has its counter. I mainly play Rogue these days, with Togwaggle's scheme, Labrecruiter and Kronx (plus Togwaggle and Flik). Priest does have a lot of board clears, but accumulating a few 0-mana Kronxes and then decimating them over the head of their 5th convincing infiltrator is quite satisfying. Plus, the deck works pretty well against other meta decks, like embiggen druid as well, the only thing it really struggles with is super aggro toxic reinforcement hunters (too slow).
This post right here is why I just laugh at the Hearthstone community. A rogue player who uses Scheme to shuffle in endless waves of Kronx complains that something else is toxic. Too funny.

I didn't shame anybody, just saying players need to stop crying on decks that are clearly possible to beat.
But if you think that coming on a forum to cry for everything you don't like or manage to beat in a game is ok instead of trying to get better at what you keep failing at, good for you. But you can't call me out and say i'm trying to shame anybody if i'm just saying that the problem isn't the deck but a lack of resilience or experience. This doesn't mean that people suck, just that they're not there yet and have to hang on.

whatsoever, i'm out of this whiny whiny thread.
Yes, my darling, you are the best and we are whiners..hahahah, man, you are so funny. Thank you for the good laughs :)
It's so easy to change what i say with something else, and so mature of you ;)
I never said i'm the best, i invite you to read again my posts and stop acting like a 15 yo kido who thinks the world is against him, but maybe it's your age who knows !?
i don't really give a damn, if you're not able to take advice without thinking it's shaming or cockiness, i feel sorry for you. Life's gonna be rough for someone...
yea hex is a thing.
A bit difficult for other than shaman to use.
Res priest isint really a ptoblem but its just 0% to play against .
its like Blizzard thought "well we gave priest horrible cards, but lets make them reaaaally anoying to even things out"
maybe this will change in the rotation thought but in this meta its not.
the queast is good though,
Quest res 72% win rate
Res Priest has 59% win rate

Priest is the most polarizing deck. Just straight up broken in some matchups.

I’ve been roping Rez Priests for the last few days - it entertains me greatly.
See all of you Priests out in the field, and good luck!
Toxic reinforcements is a card my friend
