Could someone tell me what "E.V.I.L." stands for? As stated in the subject line I am new to the game and message boards, this is my first attempt at a post even. I have tried searching but always something different pops up and different conversations etc. I am still figuring out the terminology of the game, figured out most of it though. I bought the adventure Saviors of Uldum, and was wondering if it were possible to play as Reno Jackson in standard play, and if so how to go about accomplishing this, however this is only a secondary question. For what it's worth thank you for taking a moment to read this, and have a wonderful day.
As far as I know, "E.V.I.L" has no real meaning. It's also impossible to get Reno Jackson as a playable hero in standard unless you play The Amazing Reno.
Hope that answered your questions, and have a great day!
Some time ago, an Adventure was launched with the name of ,,League of Explorers" , where Reno Jackson beats Rafaam. Now, Rafaam wants his revenge and formed te E.V.I.L League and wanted to revive Galakrond and the guys that teamed up with Reno Jackson in ,,League of Explorers" formed the GOOD League to stop Rafaam. There are only 9 classes in the game that didn't include Reno Jackson, but there is a legendary card that transforms your hero in Reno Jackson. Mage got this legendary and can be obtained by playing the last adventure, chapter 4. There is also a card 6 mana 4-6, with the name Reno Jackson from the adventure ,,League of Explorers" but is only availabe in wild.
E.V.I.L. stands for the league of E.V.I.L., the villain group of this year expansions, formed by "old villains" from Hearthstone and represented by the Warrior (dr. boom from Goblins vs Gnomes and Boomsday Project), Priest (madame lazul from Whispers of the Old Gods), Shaman (hagatha the witch from the Witchwood), Rogue (king togwaggle from Kobolds & Catacombs) and Warlock (rafaam the archeologist from the league of Explorers) classes. They're known for lackeys and since the last expansion Galakrond. Maybe you've seen that term used with decks that revolve around lackeys or something like that, but it's used only for lore purposes.
Thank You. This has been my first return to collectible card games since I was an avid Magic the gathering player, got started when Unlimited was the main set but haven't played for years. The hardest so far for me to adapt to hearthstone so far has been a wall of creatures etc. Doesn't shield your main hero. Far more complicated are message boards LOL... I did invest in a lot of booster packs, and I love the dusting aspect I have one fairly expensive deck so far, but getting to efficiently use it is a work in progress. The recipe is under mage of "Reno's Relics" So far the most success I have had in the classes are mage and hunter. Mostly it's a matter of getting used to what cards are out there and how to efficiently use them. With all the options out there, I can't figure out why anyone would use a card that was blank, like the crocodile or chillwind yeti.
at any rate, again thank you for your response and take care.
Heard that, so far that's the most confusing hero class to work with has been priest, they certainly go through their fare share of lubricant in their crusade, must be a political class...LOL (sorry couldn't resist, I avoid politics with the amount of passion that coma patients tend to avoid the return to consciousness...)
Thank you. I get a kick out of the commentaries in playing the tombs of terror, I have yet to beat chapter 4 though, it's slowly making me mental. It would be easier at times such as this that if we were in the world of Harry Potter, we could add a dash of this a dash of that, a minor lecture from Hermione, and smart ass commentary from Ron and voila instant "pop a plague charm" would be available... alas to the best of my knowledge this isn't the case...
For the record since most don't know me, I have come to the firm belief that reality is highly over-rated and should be avoided at all costs. I'll stick with being a legend in my own mind thank you :-)
I appreciate you taking the time to share some wisdom of the games mythos with me, to all a wonderful day,
I remember when I first found Hearthstone, how awesome it was to find such a cool game. It is by far my favorite card game. It still holds my interest as a premiere hobby, even after all this time. I'm glad you discovered it, as well.
In addition, I'm glad you discovered this community! There is a lot of knowledge and intelligent discussion here (most of the time). If you ever have beginner questions that you don't want to post for whatever reason, feel free to message me.

Run away while you can bro, once you start playing this shit is no coming back.
It stands for Every Villain Is Lemons
Nothing. It literally means evil as in bad and sinister.

Thank you, I will keep that in mind.
