I know that bots are illegal, but I was wondering if a script that periodically clicks an x/y location (the Play button) every 5min or whatever has been stated to be illegal?
[MOD SNIP]
90% of the time people are going to play it out and get their free win which is cool - but every now and then someone will concede. It's kind of like a Robin Hood thing, doing some community service to help people grind out gold in casual :D
Would not advise doing this, Blizz will probably ban the account. May be wrong but I remembered them doing a crackdown on something like this long ago.
But there is a measure in place to stop persistent conceding. If your winrate falls below a certain level, you will no longer get gold for wins.
Ahhh that's interesting! Good work by the coders IMO
I didn't think it would be detectable, but I was more wondering if there'd be a flag for the volume of games played or something like that. All moot though based on what you have just said!

The clue here is in your very question: "script" Any form of scripted bot is illegal in Hearthstone, and is actually very easy to be traced (there are plenty of systems that pick up on pattern recognition and click intervals, etc - that sort of thing).
I would suggest avoiding doing anything of this nature to safeguard yourself from an unexpected shove towards the ban-door. And certainly announcing it in an online forum dedicated to the game (Fan-site or official) is not a great plan for keeping your account safe.

The part (2) specifically addresses your question.

You're unlikely to get banned for that (it's against the TOS but undetectable, and it's so basic you could even do it mechanically).
But there is a measure in place to stop persistent conceding. If your winrate falls below a certain level, you will no longer get gold for wins.

Given that the question is answered and the fact it is against the rules of both the game and this forum, I'm closing this here.
