I am trying to figure out whether it's more cost-effective for me to get the adventure with gold or money. Realistically, if I buy this adventure with money, I probably won't buy the next pre-order, because I need to prioritize (and not a fan of Blizzard's new tactic of making us pay twice for each expansion).
Here is my current strategy for playing this game:
I prefer variety over pure power level, I want to be able to play all classes, but not necessarily all decks, I typically only craft tier 1-2 cards
I typically unlock all adventures, not just for the cards, but access to new game content (this may change if Blizzard continues raising their price)
I only buy cards when they drop under 80 cents/pack (60 cents with Amazon Coins)
I buy 1 pre-order per expansion at most
I play both standard and wild
I buy based on logic, not emotion, in other words if pre-order is cheap, I will buy it regardless of power level of expansion, if it's expensive, I will avoid it, regardless of power level of expansion
Does it make sense for me to buy the adventure with gold or money? What is the per card cost with gold vs with money of this adventure? I already pre-ordered this expansion, but if I buy the adventure with money I will skip on next pre-order.
Adventures with gold each and every time. Getting 700 gold isn't hard and takes a week so you are always more than ready on the day the new chapter is out with gold left over.
Gold all the way with anything. You don't need to buy cards. You get enough gold and free packs to more than keep up and make the decks you want. Don't spend money on Hearthstone. No reason to. Pre-orders aren't anything special. You are buying nothing. Some of the sales are pretty good and only what I've spent money on cause it's worth it and a good value for what you are getting. Pre-orders are expensive. I start saving gold when they announce a new expac. By the time of opening day I have enough gold to buy over 60 packs, at least and haven't spend a dime of my own money just time playing to complete quests and get gold.
