Everyone screamed Nerf and unfairness, and OP cancer decks when descent arrived and the meta circled the drain once again.
From what I understood, heros were granted galakrond abilities, leaving some at a better advantage, but I assumed the new solo awakening, once unlocked and cards earned they would truly be the balance for these decks. Would nerfs be needed if we had access to a card reveal list for awakening, having knowledge to counter stronger galakrond decks? I've been playing since league of explorers, and the nerfs and although necessary for some, are happening quicker and at a larger rate
What if there were a different play mode, for pre-nerfed decks. Or a tavern for all the meme, or fun decks..
Point is, was awakening intended to balance galakrond?
It has been a regular occurrence for Blizzard to delay the release of single player content in a new release / expansion. This has happened at least for the last few releases or so.
It is for little reason other than to help add a little freshness to the meta by adding some new cards to try mid-expansion, and to halve the time between released content (because previously the gaps between content expansion releases were simply too big and people lost interest too rapidly.

Why was the new solo content held back so long?..
