The only Tier 6 I consistently aim for is Zapp. I think the rest really depend on your build. There isn't even a Tier 6 Demon supporter. I think a good and reasonable Tier 6 minion would either be Faceless Manipulator or Faceless Shambler. Personally, I would like to see Hadronox, Gahz'rilla, or even Grimestreet Protector get added to the pool.
Copy a minion that cost you dozens of gold for only 3 gold are you nuts??? I do like your other 3 suggestions a lot though...
Tier 6 isnt good to get unless you have nowhere else to go. I think the game will soon add more since they are pretty underplayed. Ghastcoiler is a pretty amazing unit. Was just playing Lich King and got him off my turn 5 Zerus. Yeah I won like crazy hitting ppl for 20 damage a turn. There was nothing they could do. I did go tavern 6 because I could afford it and leveled it up.
Tier 6 has some nice minions depending on build. Foereaper has given me several wins, aswell as adapting murlocs, but usually I get those minions from making golden minions while in 5th tier, so no need to upgrade.
While many of them are build-dependant, I think the strength of Tier 6 is that most of its choices can be decent if you drop them in a board full of really buff minions and not be completely underwhelming.
Are Maexxna, Ghastcoiler or Zapp Slywick worse than an 80/80 minion or a Divine Shield Poisonous Murloc? Well, in most cases they are. However, not by that much. And considering an 80/80 or a DSPM are kind of the peak of strength in Battlegrounds, that's a pretty impressive feat.
That's something you cannot say about Tier 5 minions, even the very good stand-alone ones like Anihilian Battlemaster or Voidlord.
So, the goal of this minions is to fill the flex spot, which makes your board quite stronger than if you simply put the last Battlecry minion you played.
I agree. Tier 6 is not worth the upgrade unless I am playing Murlocs and am hoping to get multiple Gentle Megasaurs for the dream Divine Shield/Poisonous combo.
Otherwise, you are better off just spending your coins on trying to get triples for your existing minions, which allows you to discover Tier 6 minions and helps you temporarily free up a board space as well (very important to cycle through your Battlecry/Magnetic minions).
You're usually rotating minions through at least one spot for battlecries - when you think you're on your last match, or it's do or die, what better to put into that spot then a Ghastcoiler, Maexnna or Zapp? Even a Foe Reaver as a divine shield breaking cleave? Of course, there's Mama Bear which if you've managed to get beasts to the late game can make them stronger, but for the most part, there are some decent tier 6 minions as those last slot fillers.

Gahz'rilla is a great idea! Agree with some of the other folks that Faceless Manipulator might be a bit too strong. Especially with Golden Rift Reavers running rampant in the meta
Zapp is essential anti baron or kadgar tech to win the last 2/3 fights if your opponant has him. Addapting your murlocs is a win condition forgot the name of the beast. Foereaper can be a winner in a mech deck and is a great brann replacement for the last fights. Ghascoiler/sneeds provides winning value/durability with kadgar or barron rivendare. Kangors apprentice is the same but for mech decks. Maexxna is esstential snipe to replace for example brann or if they have a big minion you can't get past
They essentially are all focused on winning the last fights or completing your build which is a good thing. I like the idea for addition though, there definitely could be some:
Though I think hadronox would be overpowered if the taunts keep the buffs, and indeed no faceless manip. Gazhrilla and grimestreet protector also seem like good additions.
I find myself very often not wanting any tier 6 minions in BG. Are you having the same experience? What cards could make tier 6 more powerful?
For the most part, TT6 minions don't really matter in any comps until the endgame, where you are specifically looking for tech against the last remaining player or two. Because of this, getting to TT6 is largely unimportant for most comps.
The exceptions to this general statement are Gentle Megasaur and Mama Bear, which are TT6 build-arounds.
Ghastcoiler and Kangor's supplement deathrattle and mech builds, but aren't the end-all-be-all. You can be, and probably will be, just fine without them.
tl;dr You don't need TT6 to be more powerful. It's serving its purpose. Most comps can tap out at TT5 or sooner until the very end of the game. You want this spread to continue. Otherwise, you just have everyone racing for the same things in TT6.

I daresay that Gahz'rilla would be fine at 5 stars, especially considering the current state of beasts. Realistically, how often will a 9-health minion survive a hit in the late game? Maexxna is almost always better.

Grimestreet Protector would make George cry salty tears... :-P
Yeah big lol at Plaguebringer. You could fill your board with swipers and watch stuff die- put it on a juggler and sit back and laugh. Gahzrilla arguably sounds fine as a 4 tier minion even, wouldnt be surprised if this one happens; would be a cool counter to juggler/ big demon builds. Grimestreet Protector is dangerous. Two DivShields for 3 gold is some crazy value. The reason murlocs have it is because they are trash otherwise in comparison to other tribes

Tier 6 has minions that can finish off a build or improve it. I mostly triple into it or go to it if I don't have anything better to do with my gold.
Doesn't seem to be much for demons on T6, the other archetypes all have a top end minion to draw from (and deathrattle mechs get a huge lift)
Gahz'rilla is a great idea! Agree with some of the other folks that Faceless Manipulator might be a bit too strong. Especially with Golden Rift Reavers running rampant in the meta

Maybe Gruul and Don'Hançho would be possibilities

Faceless manipulator should not be in the game, I think faceless shambler might be fine at 6.
I actually think Plaguebringer would be an interesting tier 6 minion as a "create your own Maexna",
I like the Plaguebringer idea, but I feel like they might as well remove Maexxna if they did this
Nobody wants to see a Hydra or Foe Reaper with poisonous.
Touche. That didn't cross my mind.
Windspeaker I want this one in Battlegrounds.
