At least from rank 5 and up, Embiggen Druid is fun but weak. Rogue has many counter cards like Flik and Shadowstep, and strong control decks like CW or Res Priest can easily deal with the deck's boards if you don't have an insane early ramp. Also, extreme aggro decks like Face Hunter and Token Druid can steamroll this deck if you happen to get all the high cost cards in your mulligan. If you have all the cards, play it, it's fun, but at least in the higher ranks, don't craft it if you want to play competitively.
So while Spells fail, the only minion to legitimately deal with a Winged Guardian (and any busted Minion for that matter) is actually Tinkmaster Overspark which is actually a legit Tech choice in the current Meta. :)
To sum it up, Winged Guardian can now be considered the second toughest to trade Minion in ALL of Hearthstone, only behind a Colossus of the Moon.
Seriously ? You think I'm trolling ? You must be rank 15 to 25 OR just a terrible pilot OR you never played it yourself and just making assumptions. Highlander Control Shaman has plenty of answers aside from Plague of Murlocs.
You underestimate Earthquake and Scheme. It clears boards, common mistake is getting too conservative with it there are plenty of discovers and value generation in the deck. You pair that with Electra Stormsurge and you are golden. Those reborn shenanigans and Ysera flood are shit compared to that.
Hex + Zentimo is a classic. Even Hex alone can mess up their res pool already. Witching Hour.
I tech black knight because it curves well against shield of galakrond and non galakrond decks usually have a good taunts. Res Priest, Big Druid,
Vulpera Scoundrel and Haunting Visions are basically free board clear.
Don't get me started on Hagathas. You have access to the two new Spells now.
Not to mention, you have zephrys and alex. Alex combos well with hagatha.
Big druid will have a slow turn after a board clear, Witches Brew and Walking Fountain saved me more than once.
I also have the 0 mana heal and taunt(Hunterace style) which wprks well with walking founrtain , black knight and archivist and keeps your hand small to give way to Hagatha reloads.
HS Replay is not representative of the ENTIRE hearthstone players you know. You are playing the net deck game. Start thinking for yourself.
Just because a deck is not popular doesn't mean it's not good.
Case in point: Practically nobody was playing Galakrond Warrior pre 1st DoD nerf. Although I saw a few people hinting/spoiling that spirit of the rhino being a secret sauce.
Nobody was playing Highlander Priest, which few people brought to legend.
My prediction is all Shaman cards from Galakronds Awakening will be Meta-defining and people will turn to Control variants and away from Quest and Galakrond variants .
Surely it's a strong deck, and elusive minions make it really difficult to deal with. As Rogue, early big Edwin and Flick help a lot. And they are very vulnerable the first 3/4 turns, so you can start applying lot of pressure and eventually kill them with burst

Can u share me this list? Looks like a nice one.
It was pretty obvious they're not interested in anyone "net decking" their personal build.
They literally said "Start thinking for yourself".
Started playing Emiggen druid yesterday from rank 8 and for the first time as a player I made rank 5 this morning.
The deck really does rely on a good mulligan, some games I have conceded within 3/4 turns due to bad draw of cards. Yet with the right start, you can pretty much beat any other deck.
I am f2p player as well, so to finally reach rank 5 is big milestone for me. It seemed I was always 1/2 games away from reaching rank 5 but then would go on a losing streak!
Now I can relax and have some fun with decks as we come to the end of this month.
do you know, that the meta will change in few days becuase of new cards being added after second wing? stop spreading hate... and think before you post something...
Played against it 2-3 times at Legend as Galakrond Control Warlock and completly smashed them.
They play one thing at a time, and even the big minions I could most of the time actually trade with imps, finish with Netherwing... cleared a board with 2 Guardians with proper use of Godfrey. Dark Skies and Plague of Flames don't care about the Evasive keyword either.
You swing the turn hard if you don't get crappy demons from a fully invoked Galakrond. Adding BK, Tinkmaster or Spellbreaker would be overkill I think.
I was watching other streamers and Reno Mage seemed to shit on it pretty hard between multiple freezes and Luna's Pocket Galaxy absurd turns.
I also faced it on casual some times with Mech Paladin and just stacked magnetics on a gigantic minion, made some other medium ones and broke through multiple waves of Grizzlies and Guardians.
It also appears that Ress Priest farms it as well.

I literally shared the decklist with a short guide a few comments above. I'm happy to share.
I'd like to clarify what I meant by playing the netdeck game. What I mean is that people talk about the meta as if the only playable decks around are the ones listed in HSReplay. The meta is still evolving(and will continue to, over the next few weeks) yet people are quick to make judgements about decks that arent in HSReplay.
Calling it now - the Black Knight returns as a meta card if these insane Druid taunt minions remain popular.
Doesn't trade 1 for 1 with a Winged Guardian, only removes the first form - also hella clunky at 6 Mana and super weak Vanilla play if he doesnt get a target.
As I said earlier, if you want tech this meta seriously consider crafting Tinkmaster Overspark that also deals with a Turn 5 20-20 Questing Adventurer or 12-12 Edwin VanCleef as well as Giants, Dragons and all those annoying Priest minions. You'd rather want a 5-5 Devilsaur than being dead, right ?

This is my current Embiggen Druid list, never been a Netdecker and adjusting my own versions to make it viable in the early stages of the game.
For me personally Doomsayer is absolutetly essential in ANY Control type of Druid deck since about.... HS Beta ?! since Druid has about the shittiest AoE in the game, so it keeps that Zooboard in check on Turn 2. Yea it can ocassionally get recruited, but thats not such a bad thing, as the opponent is still limited in his play if its behind a big Taunt, so the Tempo swings back in your favour.
Crystal Merchant is brutal when uncontested / snowballs, one of the best 2 drops in the game and severely underrated.

I actually think that there is merit for Black knight right now. There's enough galakrond taunts and Xiliax going around that it's likely to hit something.
Even killing ziliax without his divine shield is something, and makes the play worth 6 mana a decent amount of the time. Black knight has always been this weird tech card where I feel like it's like been the 31st best card in many metas, and just barely misses the cut.
But I agree with what you said. There are those times where he's just a heavy, clunky yeti that sits in your hand because you're trying to use him but never can.

Umm, ok? Historically (you're talking since HS Beta) Druid didn't necessarily need more board clears as it's better at staying alive by summoning taunts, gaining tons of armor, and healing.
I mean, Doomsayer is an okay card to have but I wouldn't go as far as saying it's always been absolutely essential.

Not in this meta it doesn't. Even if you somehow face a deck without big taunts, the list I have contains Ancestral Healing(Hunterace inspired) which synergizes with a lot of cards in the deck.
Not to mention, Black Knight was inspired from Zephrys discovers. Which turned out to be the 'Perfect Card' in a lot of situations.
The current Embiggen builds are stronger than the ones at the start of Galakrond. However, each week more cards are being released through the solo adventures. I would expect things to change each week. Not saying Embiggen won’t still be strong, but let’s see what emerges each week of the solo adventure releases.

That deck get rekt by OTK paladin i assume, right? Luckily it's not an easy deck to play and many people are too afraid of Flik skyshiv aswell.
Embiggen is just a fun card, we will see how the deck does in the next few weeks.

Nothing wrong with sharing ideas. Other people will likely optimize the decklist.

Nice deck, but I still don't think that it can win more games against my Control Shaman.
Also, if we battle. You will regret shitting on black knight.
Strength in numbers + Doomsayer ? That sounds like a double risk of a dead hand and dead board..
