I just couldn't relate to hating Face Hunter and Ressurect Priest.
The Highlander Priest I'm playing is an Auto Win against Ressurect Priest and has a hugely positive winrate against Face Hunter. I have had plenty of fun.
I am not exaggerating on Auto win against res priest too. I literally won every game against it on ladder. I don't even see how it can win, ever.
They hate losing to stupid mechanics (rez priest).
They hate losing to highroll (galacrond giving charge minions uber buffs or discounting 9 mana cards to zero.)
They hate op decks (gala shaman before first nerf) cause it feels very unfair to lose against something. Makes you feel helpless.
They say they hate because they are dumb and don't know they don't hate but only dislike. Hate is a very strong emotion and luckily rarer than one would assume.
Yes playing against rez quest priest where you must switch your playstyle just because you must and some decks have absolutely no way of dealing with it
I don't know what decks you are playing but the tier 1 - 2 decks can SMORC it down before it can stabilize.
Are you playing Face Hunter? Because that deck is the only deck I can think of that has little to no chance against res priest.
Ok, so you want to let everyone know that you are "mildly annoyed" by certain topics and comments, and what you "assume" about people who post them. And you do so with the lovely diction and style of a basement dweller.
I don't know what your intention was, what kind of debate you want to have, but the impression you make is not in your favor.
And yet you added another level to the 'Inception' which makes you what? Is the impression of you better? You think? You see the irony here Cobb? The basement you are living in is in a deeper level.
I don't care if you don't get the reference, I have no expectations..
I'm merely wondering what you are trying to accomplish here. I don't know if you want people to explain themselves, or if you want to make people stop complaining about decks, or if you want to hear reasons why they are actually doing so to correct your assumptions, or if you try to be funny, or if you just want to let everyone know that you are a judgmental person, and a bit full of yourself (which is what I took away from this so far).
Sorry if was insulting, but the way you present your opinion is just awkward, to say the least. You list and elaborate your assumptions as if they had any weight to consider; like putting your own opinion on a pedestal. Nothing against proper structuring, but here it seems rather unnecessary. You pick a patronizing tone with lines such as "if the counter to your deck is popular on your pocket meta, that's when despise turns to loathing" and "the most plausible explanation is that you are a, pardon my french, 'Noob'". You even throw in a "That's right", which makes you sound like someone who believes to be smarter than everyone else, topping it off with your "you are being judged" sentence that just reeks of an inflated ego. You feel like you need to repeat the line "You are not a lesser person if you only play casual mode. Play there if that's where you belong. " (also charming) in italics three times like a mantra, and even if I knew what this is referencing, I would still think of it as childish.
I'm not saying you are a basement dweller, but you opened a topic with no clear purpose and an attitude, only to highlight your disliking of people complaining about decks and doing so in a pretentious way. You are at least pretty good at imitating someone who lacks real social interactions.
But maybe this is just how people talk nowadays, and I'm either too old or I'm not old enough to appreciate it yet.
By the way, it's enough to quote something once, and you can respond to multiple postings in one posting using the "multi-quote" function, and you can edit your postings when you accidentally inserted a quote multiple times.
Your assumption is that everyone plays to ladder up instead of playing to have a fun match.
My fun doesn't depend on my win %, yet I don't consider myself a noob. I know how to play the decks that I play, I just choose not to play the optimal decks for the meta if they are not fun to me.
So yes playing against a deck that is not a fun matchup (to me combo decks, highroll decks and super agro decks) generally is not very fun. And if they are rampant more than my treshhold then I will quit HS for the day or switch from wild to standard or go battlegrounds.
I think that is a fair assumption.
If you arent't playing ladder and playing for fun, then why would you bother finishing an incredibly disadvantaged game ? Wouldn't you just concede and move on to the next player? Its no big deal then.
I don't assume these people are conflicted masochists so I would rather assume they are playing ladder.

You know what ? You and I aren't so different. I'm just honestly expressing my thoughts and you did too.
You actually took time to psycho analyze my ramblings. I appreciate you for that. You even shared something personal about yourself (your age range, old).
Thanks for the tip, I'm on mobile so it wasn't really easy to realize.. I don't imagine you as an old person at all, you are a tech savvy future boy in my minds' eye.
What beta cucks dont understand is, that not everyone likes to play ladder. I am a HS player since closed beta, I have a huge collection, I play everyday, literally everyday, but I dont even have probably 3k wins on ladder because I prefer the casual mode. My problem is, that casual mode is 1:1 ranked/ladder. You face the same decks. I understand when people hate certain decks, always facing the same shit, but the worst thing is, that I dont see any difference between ladder and casual. I understand, people play ladder to win, I am fine with that. BUt casual? Sweet Jesus. To be fair, its not the players fault, its Blizz fault to let people use casual for gold farming, reaching the daily cap is really a lot of work, compared to MTGA, where you only need 15 wins (while you need 30 at HS, like the double amount). Dont come up with hurr durr MTGA longer games hurr durr. Nah.
I have been playing since the start, I have a good collection. I have been to legend in both ladders. I have over 3000 arena wins. I'm pretty fucking good at battlegrounds too. Just sayin...I'm no noob.
I hate big/res priest with a passion. Probably always will - but I am largely talking about wild. It reduces the game to a cowclicker for both players. There is no other deck arechetype that has a such a negative affect on gameplay. Everytime they print a card for standrad res priest there is a risk it slots into it's wild big/res brother and makes it even more degenerate. Yes I am aware it doesn't always do well in the meta- it fluctuates over time, regardless....I don't care about the winrate, or whether I win or lose. It's the gameplay.

I don't assume these people are conflicted masochists so I would rather assume they are playing ladder.
But the thing is, you can play an advantaged matchup and still be bored. No matter what deck I'm playing, the current version of Face Hunter is incredibly boring to play against, they're literally just pressing hero power turn after turn. I'm playing ladder, but I'm also playing to have fun. If I'm playing against Face Hunter with, say, Resurrect Priest, I'll take the win, so I won't concede, but I'll still be bored playing the game.
Basically, I "hate" (such a strong word) the current Face Hunter because it takes fun away from the game, even if I'm winning. But that is just my subjective opinion. Other people can have fun playing with or against the deck. I just wanted to point out that there are other reasons for hating a deck that losing to it.

See, you keep tying enjoyment to win rate.
Until you can let go of that, you'll never be able to relate.
Team 5 has nerfed quite a few decks in the past based more on fun factor than on win rates. That should be enough to confirm what people are saying here -- winning isn't the only thing that makes a game fun.

About Blizzard nerfing cards based on fun factor than win rates. We don't actually know that for certain, we don't have access to Blizzard's data. The closest we have is HS Replay. Even that, is not a good representative of the entire HS community only those who you use it.
I wasn't tying wins to enjoyment. I was tying diversified play to enjoyment. Winning is just the side effect. How many people do you see playing Highlander Priest ? Highlander Warrior ? Highlander Control Shaman ? Those are/were legend viable decks too and will allow you to have fun interaction with apparently hateful decks.
The problem is that hearthstone isn't very F2P friendly which is why a lot players(even the non F2P) only get to craft the most popular tier 1 decks and not be able to try other decks that might give them a different experience/perspective.

I have a legit question. Would you have a lot of fun playing hearthstone against a deck that consists of one card with the following text 25% of the time you win, 75% of the time you lose. Winrate against this deck will be good healthy 75%
Speak for yourself, why do you think you are qualified to give that advice ?
If you are such a chad, why are you getting your balls fired up over a hearthstone forum thread instead of 'going out more' yourself? for all we know you're carl from jimmy neutron.
You better have an ice block because that was a ragnaros level burn. imo.
Perhaps I am being too harsh.

Ironic. He could save others from hating, but not himself.
You lazy murloc. You didn't even bother to read.
That guy was putting words in my mouth, I never said hate. I was mildly annoyed. He even corrected himself.
And looking at the thread you just created, mildly annoyed by your kind
people just want a game where the deck they like win 99% of the time.
Res priest born as solution for face and quest shaman and the crazy amount of lackeys around.
now get rid of your obsolete deck and design a solution to res priest. but then you will complain because you lose against face decks.
Well this how a game should work, if you always win means the game is fucked up.
So my suggestion is just stop complaining; res priest is the worst match up for you deck ever? well, concede or find a solution.

Threads like this are part of the reason I've mostly left Hearthpwn. I only come here now to check news.
You actually realized how boring of a person you are since youre spamming the tier 1 deck every season, huh?
Damn right
