This forum sees no shortage of 'I hate this deck' threads. And honestly? it's mildly annoying.
"I hate Face Hunter", "I hate Tempo Rogue", "I hate Resurrect Priest", I hate this, I hate that. Even during a fairly good meta, these threads exist.
::: I'm not talking about the 'I hate playing this deck' but the 'I hate playing against this deck' people. I understand people will like different play styles.
I have two assumptions about the people who participate in these threads:
They don't have a proper collection.
They are bad at the game. 'Noobs'
1st Assumption
They don't have a proper collection. Probably only has 1 optimized deck.
No. I am not shitting on F2P players.
I didn't always have a huge collection, specially when I was still F2P. I only had 2 (nearly) optimized decks when I started. Most of my decks were tier 3 or lower.
What I'm saying is that if you only play 1 deck over and over again. You will grow to DESPISE its unfavorable matchups.
You are not a lesser person if you only play casual mode. Play there if that's where you belong.
They don't have a proper collection. They try to climb the ladder.
You know what's worse than playing against an unfavorable matchup? Playing again'st an unfavorable matchup on ladder.
That's right. There are pocket metas and if the counter to your deck is popular on your pocket meta, that's when despise turns to loathing.
You are not a lesser person if you only play casual mode. Play there if that's where you belong.
2nd Assumption
They are bad at the game. 'Noobs'
Okay let's say you have a robust collection, but you still say "such deck is hateful". Then the most plausible explanation is that you are a, pardon my french, 'Noob'.
Let's take Apxvoid as an example. He is a consistent high Legend player who mostly plays Mage decks. He is not bad at the game and you don't hear him whining about hating 'decks'.
Any sensible player runs 'tech cards' to increase chances against unfavorable decks. Even playing the same deck to learn its weaknesses. I mean, no deck is unbeatable. If you just keep losing, that's on you.
You are not a lesser person if you only play casual mode. Play there if that's where you belong.
I am not in any way saying that you should not voice your opinions. I am just saying that this is my assumption of you. You are being judged.
TBH most these people (from experience) have a collection that let them play a tier 1 deck. Yet, they refuse to play it because of ego or they simply like to play lesser strategies because it’s more “Fun”. With that said, YES their noobs that don’t know how to play the deck to it’s full potential or simply give up because they had a bad day of RNG (variance). Whatever is the reason, if you really want to; a 51% WR is possible. Not that hard ppl...
I hate playing quest resurrect priest. I mostly play Highlander Rogue, which is a t1 deck with a favoured matchup if you know what you're doing. My winrate against qr priest is probably 65%. Maybe a bit less.
I hate playing quest priest because it is a boring uninteractive match that provides no satisfaction when i e v e n t u a l l y win. If I lose, its even worse because ive just spent about 20 minutes being bored to lose a game that im supposed to be playing for fun.

I don't know, maybe it's Highlander Rogue that's the problem. I'm 50%+ with that and I find it boring to play.
OR Maybe you/most people dont like playing super predictable decks in general? Because from what I gather, that's the common denominator between Ressurect Priest and Face Hunter, predictability. The most hated decks, apparently.
Ok, so you want to let everyone know that you are "mildly annoyed" by certain topics and comments, and what you "assume" about people who post them. And you do so with the lovely diction and style of a basement dweller.
I don't know what your intention was, what kind of debate you want to have, but the impression you make is not in your favor.

And yet you added another level to the 'Inception' which makes you what? Is the impression of you better? You think? You see the irony here Cobb? The basement you are living in is in a deeper level.
I don't care if you don't get the reference, I have no expectations..
If you're at legend, prepare for a shitload of Galakrond Rogue mirrors, and that's mostly it . Most other seen deck is Quest Hunter. At lower ranks you might see Face Hunter/Quest Ress Priest much more.
3 classes are pratically dead, and a few others while having good decks had a much decreased winrate after the nerfs. It's pretty much Galakrond Rogue, Galakrond Warlock and some variation of Hunter (Highlander, Face or Quest, class is pretty diverse atm).
The meta is not diverse, power levels varies enourmously between some classes and you see a lot of stuff over and over, which becomes boring, and by extension annoying, quickly.
The threads on this forum get's dumber and dumber. Of course you can dislike a deck without loosing to it. I will always dislike every single face deck because I think they är stupid and boring. In Magic I'll always hate Tron, even though I am smashing it with the deck I play right now. It's just a boring deck to play against.
Yeah I don’t get the assumptions either but let us disprove them instead of blindly flame.
Do I have a bad collection? Well started in june but have a highlander hunter, face hunter, gala warrior, gala rogue all tier 2 or better I think.
My winrate vs priest is just about 50 %. So i definitely lose some but I also win some and I don’t think the priest enjoys losing to my 24 damage burst.
Am I a noob? Well I am in legend for second consecutive month.
Do I hate resurrect priest? Absolutely!
It is not the strength of the deck, it is the playstyle. It is just bad design that you don’t get punished for not playing stuff on the board for many turns. The other player can’t really attack face for the priest will boardclear and then heal and is now closer to winning compared to the one actually playing the game.
Face hunter is boring but the feck plays the game quite intensely from turn 1 to finish.
Judge for yourself but I just don’t think a deck that plays the way resurrect priest does should exist

Of course you can. I didn't say you can't.
I play Control and Midrange. Sometimes Aggro, if there's an interesting list. Now most of the time, aggro is a breeze, midrange and control are challenging, OTK is fun discovering outs.
Yes playing against rez quest priest where you must switch your playstyle just because you must and some decks have absolutely no way of dealing with it
Your assumption is that everyone plays to ladder up instead of playing to have a fun match.
My fun doesn't depend on my win %, yet I don't consider myself a noob. I know how to play the decks that I play, I just choose not to play the optimal decks for the meta if they are not fun to me.
So yes playing against a deck that is not a fun matchup (to me combo decks, highroll decks and super agro decks) generally is not very fun. And if they are rampant more than my treshhold then I will quit HS for the day or switch from wild to standard or go battlegrounds.

No you are not a noob. I respect the hustle and grind.
You have a decent collection. Peraps I am being too harsh.
Your decks are probably what I would have now if I just started in June too.
I can't fault new players for not having access to a variety of legend viable lists. Hearthstone is expensive after all, I also had to wait for year of the mammoth to end before investing too.
Perhaps blizzard should be more rewarding/cheaper packs or more dust. it really is a lot more fun if you can use the deck you want instead of

Or maybe they are just playing vs op/non interactive/just not fun to play against deck.
Hate a deck is not meant to be "cant win vs that deck".
Speak for yourself. You are in a Hearthstone forum too.
I don't think this is true at all.
If you are playing a Highlander Shaman , Highlander Mage or Highlander Priest , Ressurect Priest is fun to play against.
If you play Tempo Warrior or Hand Warlock, I don't see how you cannot have fun against Face Hunter.
Don't put words in my mouth.
I do not 'hate', I am mildly annoyed.

The meta is not "fairly good", unfortunately.
