Anybody else thinking that maybe they are just releasing old cards that they couldn't fit into the previous 3 expansions? They dont have a clear theme, most of them have old or random effects and keywords from the last few expansions. They dont really fit the them of dod. I dunno, it feels a little lazy to me I'm not sure. I'd like to hear your opinions on the adventure
Even with the leaked cards we still haven’t seen 14 cards of the expansion.
There is nothing strange in effects and keywords since we don’t even know adventure bosses and wings. Maybe it fits perfectly.
Most DoD cards are “This could be meta-defining if only the class had... and others didn’t have... and the ladder wasn’t full of” and something like that. And right now there isn’t a single adventure card except leaked demon that seems unfair and that’s how it supposed to be
Sorry, I dont but it. They hardly repeat keywords in previous expansions and the cards have nothing to do with dragonblight or GALAKROND. Hell theres like what, one dragon?
I think it makes perfect sense that they're reusing old keywords. This is supposed to be the finale of the narrative they've been building all year, of course they're going to make callbacks by bringing back the mechanics from this year's sets. It's the final battle, right? So both heroes and villains have to bring the best they've got!
That's clearly intentional, or did you think no one would notice Twinspell and Reborn? And besides, Discover have been in various other sets even though it's a mechanic originated in Un'goro.
They also design sets in advance. For example, Dragon Paladin turned out to be poor, but it really began in Witchwood with Cathedral Gargoyle, for example. So not just mechanics, but themes as well. Though in the case of themes/archetypes, we call it "supporting".
And they already began hints of next themes... if Sathrovarr, Chaos Gazer and the summon and attack quotes from Lightforged Crusader and Emerald Explorer, we'll be getting something related to corruption/rot and demons/the Burning Legion in the coming sets.
It's a 4th release of cards in one year, a new precedent, something to mix up a stale meta halfway through an expansion, again a new precedent... And some ppl still find reasons to complain about it.
I don't want to be that guy (well, actually I do) but discover got introduced in the League of Explorers Expansion and the first Dragon paladin support card was Dragon Consort from the Blackrock Mountain Expansion.
This isn't the first time that someone thinks that Discover is from Ungoro, where is this Idea coming from?
I think maybe this is possible, but I think a lot of these cards are really good and I love that they're reusing the twinspell and reborn mechanics because I think they're both really good mechanics.

Oh you're right, it's from League of Explorers.
And I know there were previous dragon paladins, I just meant the newest version began in Witchwood.

Team 5 just confirmed that these cards were indeed the results of "Bring your kid to work day"
