I'm grateful blizz took care of not giving warlock too aggressive mechs. Mechzoo may still be a thing considering lock's hero power, but at least they didn't get an extra push.
I never thought zap would be the only one shaman mech. What a downer! But Powermace is powerfull (pun intended) enough to make people still try it. With strong support of cheap spells and AoE against other mechs I see this as possible.
Another blessing. I guess no one needed a full mech hunter flooding the ladder. Metaltooth Leaper is solid but probably not enough to support the deck by itself.
Another weak one. The cub is a good early play, specially to protect Mechwarper, but is it enough? I'm not excited. the bear-cat is a potentially powerfull mid game threat, but meh...
Given the reception Cobalt Guardian got when previewed I guess no one is thrilled about him. Minibot is good and maybe other weenie synergies may turn pally into a contender?
Priest haven't got numbers but did get some quality ones. Both cards are among the strongest mechs IMO. Taking into account priest's healing and support spells this class have good chances to play some aggroish midrange list with strong early and lategame.
Excellent options for rogue! Cheap and powerfull ones. The auto-barber is strong enough to get into non-mech decks due to a weapon effect that rogues are going to appreciate. Adding that to a weapon and having both buffing each other is very strong. The wrench also is unique for rogue as a cheap 3- durability weapon is very valuable. Iron Sensei has potential but its consistency must be proven yet.
Class Legendary mech! 4 class mechs! Wow! I'd never thought that warrior would get so much mech-love. And these are good cards. Warbot is not gamebreaking but at least it's the cheapest class mech. If mechs need more early game, maybe warbot bets valued higher. Clunker is a good cost effective buff comparable to houndmaster. Siege Engine and Iron Juggernaut are strong mid-to-lategame options and may define warrior as the mech control class. Who would've guessed that? lol
Mage was another surprise to me. Very good options in a class that can support cheap minions with cheap removal or card advantage and AoE. I don't think any of these mechs are among the best ones but blastmage seems like a flagship to a midrange mech deck. Echo of Medivh and Wee Spellstopper also seem like very good support for mechs. As good as Duplicate. I can see many possibilities...
Please forgive my bad grammar. English is my second language.
I tried to build a control mech warrior but couldn' avoid focusing on Tinkertown Technician, Enhance-o Mechano and Jeeves. It seems to have an early presence, good synergies and gas for late game though.
I could see a spare parts deck being a thing for priest or warrior since they would be able to survive long enough to clean up with foe reaper, voltron, or Junkbot. Can also afford to tempo with Gazlowe. As for aggro mech, I see Shaman or Druid being particularly good at this. Mechs can be sticky. These classes can make use of that with totems and bloodlust/savage roar. However, above all, I feel mage is just simply made for mech more than any other class. Their damage spells cancel out the often low damage output of mechs and they have some cards with fantastic synergy (damage can really pile up fast!). They can also probably protect their minions the best in a mech deck.
I think Mechrattle Zoo will probably be a thing and it will be gross. Warlocks get to side step one of the biggest issues with mechs right now, the lack of draw power. I think that is going to be HUGE when you need to make a deck with a ton of synergy using basically 2 tribals (deathrattle and mech) and don't want to waste slots on Draw
The best Mech only deck will probably be Warrior. Screwjank Clunker, Warbot, Seige Engine and Iron Juggernaut are all good and playable. The 1 Slot is probably the weakest mech wise right now so they have a good 1 drop for there. I could see a decent Tempo Warrior Mech deck coming out
Warlocks are going to be disgusting again, the better the card pool gets the more op their hero power becomes.
I have to agree here. I don't know how much the quantity of class mechs are going to influence mech decks. Probably warlocks can go with neutrals only with the backup of their hero power.
I personally think that the shaman has amazing aggro potential as well as control for mechs. The whirling zap o matic is an outstanding 2 drop that if not stopped can turn into A 5-4 with wind fury by turn 4 with powermace. And by then I usually have a arcane nullified down. Also shaman's one mech being a two drop it has great synergy with cog master and tinker town technician. And finally i also sometimes put down the turn three powermace and then an arcane nullifier to get a 4-7 with taunt that Cannot be targeted by spells or hero powers
I agree that shaman looks good. But one month later, mage comes on top, judging by popularity at least. I would say that priest, druid and warrior come as some sort of tier 2.
I'm really surprised no mech zoo became some ladder cancer. That was a good surprise indeed. GvG seems to be very well balanced. Congratz to Blizz!
i know for a fact that shaman mech decks are not popular because for aggro rouge and warrior do it better with charge cards and other things.also I think Mage is the most popular because of the fact that the two non legendary mechs work amazingly in freeze Mage an already super popular deck type And just standard Mage.however shaman is imo the best with the shredders because of ancestral rebirth and reincarnate.I personnaly Do not think Mage is the best for mechs though but I can understand why people think so. However flame leviathan was the worstclass legendary of the new ones and also the worst once IMO of them all of them
This final batch of GvG cards unveiled interesting cards for the mech type. What classes are going to be best for building aggro mech decks?
I'll list mech cards for each class and non mechs that have mech sinergy. From most obvious to the surprise ones.
Warlock:[2/0]
Mechs: Fel Cannon, Anima Golem
Non-Mech sinergy: none
I'm grateful blizz took care of not giving warlock too aggressive mechs. Mechzoo may still be a thing considering lock's hero power, but at least they didn't get an extra push.
Shaman: [1/1]
Mechs: Whirling Zap-o-matic
Non-Mech sinergy: Powermace
I never thought zap would be the only one shaman mech. What a downer! But Powermace is powerfull (pun intended) enough to make people still try it. With strong support of cheap spells and AoE against other mechs I see this as possible.
Hunter: [1/0]
Mechs: Metaltooth Leaper
Non-Mech sinergy: none
Another blessing. I guess no one needed a full mech hunter flooding the ladder. Metaltooth Leaper is solid but probably not enough to support the deck by itself.
Druid: [2/0]
Mechs: Anodized Robo Cub, Mech-Bear-Cat
Non-Mech sinergy: none
Another weak one. The cub is a good early play, specially to protect Mechwarper, but is it enough? I'm not excited. the bear-cat is a potentially powerfull mid game threat, but meh...
Paladin: [2/0]
Mechs: Shielded Minibot, Cobalt Guardian
Non-Mech sinergy: none
Given the reception Cobalt Guardian got when previewed I guess no one is thrilled about him. Minibot is good and maybe other weenie synergies may turn pally into a contender?
Priest: [2/0]
Mechs: Shadowboxer, Upgraded Repair Bot
Non-Mech sinergy: none
Priest haven't got numbers but did get some quality ones. Both cards are among the strongest mechs IMO. Taking into account priest's healing and support spells this class have good chances to play some aggroish midrange list with strong early and lategame.
Rogue: [2/1]
Mechs: Goblin Auto-Barber, Iron Sensei
Non-Mech sinergy: Cogmaster's Wrench
Excellent options for rogue! Cheap and powerfull ones. The auto-barber is strong enough to get into non-mech decks due to a weapon effect that rogues are going to appreciate. Adding that to a weapon and having both buffing each other is very strong. The wrench also is unique for rogue as a cheap 3- durability weapon is very valuable. Iron Sensei has potential but its consistency must be proven yet.
Warrior: [4/0]
Mechs: Warbot, Screwjank Clunker, Siege Engine and Iron Juggernaut!
Non-Mech sinergy: none

Mage: [3/1]
Mechs: Snowchugger, Soot Spewer and Flame Leviathan
Non-Mech sinergy: Goblin Blastmage
Mage was another surprise to me. Very good options in a class that can support cheap minions with cheap removal or card advantage and AoE. I don't think any of these mechs are among the best ones but blastmage seems like a flagship to a midrange mech deck. Echo of Medivh and Wee Spellstopper also seem like very good support for mechs. I'm surprised at the lack of druid support here.
I think Rogue is the best for mech but...
Who wants to see a Battle Mage :D
