for most people here they will do everything they can to claim "f2p" status and not give the evil company a dime for anything they make. The mere fact the game still exists is that blizzard makes money from the continued support and development of Hearthstone. These people want to claim immortal staus of "look I've not spent a dime and I get rank "whatever". They will claim you suck if you spend money on the game at all and chastise you as an "idiot".
I claim 98-100 free packs every expansion from doing nothing but logging in to the game and completing the daily quest. I have played the game since closed beta. I have every card in the game and I'm at 67% complete golden collection. I have received more free things in the game since I've played than I can remember. 19.99 to me is about the equivalent of maybe .50 cents; I tip more for dinner than this all of the time. I can't speak for everyone but I can only speak to what I have witnessed from this community over the last 5 plus years and it's more toxic than nuclear waste. I pay the devs for their content and only use gold for new expansion packs. F2P players can thank me and millions of others for actually spending money on the game for all these years.
Don't spend money you don't have; no one really cares one way or another.
Well said, friend. This is the reason I'm choosing to buy with cash. Thank you.
I got the DoD pre order and made out really well with all the nerfs and so I will be using gold. It’s also a fun little challenge to make sure to have 700 gold for each week. I’ll have enough for the first two when it arrives so I won’t be behind.

Thank you Warnerve75!!!!
and all the other minions.....millions for the millions they spend for my entertainment.
Gold because I bought both cash bundles for DOD and had enough packs that I didn't need to spend any gold on the expansion. I'm sitting on a gold pile of 8k+ now.
I think it makes more sense to save cash for the expansion promotional bundles since they are better value - you get more packs and also card backs/hero skins/golden legendaries. In contrast you don't get anything extra by spending cash on adventures that you can't get by spending gold instead.
I bought it with cash because I know ehat I ll get for the money. And same as other people- I would have spent that money anyways ons something else (food, movies,..). I never buy expansion packs fir cash since you can spend 50$ and get garbage cards. This time you spend 20$, get a full single player adventure and competetive cards (hopefully the re gonna be good)
Preordered with cash. I have about 130k gold saved up but I am hoarding that for the next expansion or whenever I may actually need it. $20 Isn't a huge amount for me right now so I just bought it when it landed in the store.
To all the F2P's out there - just remember that without paying customers this game would cease to exist. Do whichever works for you, F2P or P2P neither is better or worse than the other. It's entirely subjective. If you have the cash and enjoy the game, spend as much as you want / can reasonably afford. If not, then grind away with the time you have available to spend on playing the game. It's a choice about where you choose to spend your time / money. One may be a better fit for your current situation at this point in time but that doesn't mean that everyone else is in the same position or should be doing the same thing you are.
I'm going with gold this time. I honestly have more gold than I can spend (currently 8k+) since I don't need more packs from any of the current expansions, and I have plenty of dust to craft whatever I want. Plus, there's no cosmetics, which would have been the only incentive for me to buy it with cash.

I thought the new adventure was 700 gold for each wing for each side EVIL/Adventurers. So wouldn't that be 5600 gold?
Nope, it's 700 for both wings in a chapter, with the first chapter being the exception because the first wing is free. So 700 to unlock the 2nd wing of chapter 1 and 700 for each of the three remaining chapters = 2800 gold

Neither...21/01/2020 is the end of Hearthstone. No worth spend anything in this game. Not even imaginary gold.

Well boys, there you have it. Pack it in and kick out the fires. She's done.

Gold for me. Since I won’t spend any money until Blitzchung isn’t banned anymore.

Missing lethal since June 2015.

Give money? To Blizzard?
Ha ha. Surely you jest.

I just use cash to support the HS team.
