I was looking for threads like these because I recall previously there were lots of them. Unfortunately I can't find any now. How would you obtain the adventure?
Based on how previous adventures worked, you'll not be able to craft the cards until they rotate to Wild, i.e. April 2021.
To add more value to the thread, I read somewhere a comment stating that this time it's better content/value ratio to be purchased with gold. It was the opposite with the previous two adventures.
Does anyone know if the 35 cards from the adventure will be for a limited time or not?
It won't be limited time. Cards from adventures never are.
Limited in time for standard - probably will expire for standard in the April 2021. so it's limited time for 1 year and ~3 months to standard. wild is forever.
Btw I dislike playing solo content... it doesn't add value to me and this is why I'm more willing to spend gold on that. BUT the math is:
2800 gold equals to 28 packs, but also to $20 in case you buy the adventure.
15 packs equal to $20 if you buy them directly from the shop. In that case if you spend gold on 1500 packs that will equal to $20.
So better invest your 2800 gold on 28 packs (from the new expac) and spend $20 on the stupid adventure? I'm aware that there is no deal in buying those 15 packs from the shop without any bundle or promotion.
I purchased it with cash. My logic is I would spend that much to go to a movie or out to eat, and I'll enjoy this adventure for a long time. It's my guilty pleasure :)
If you spend money on hearthstone regularly then this adventure is one of the best things to invest your money if you only look gold/money ratio especially when you add golden pack that comes with preorder. But if the cards are bad than it is not worth it. If you start playing wild you should not even consider buying naxramas and black rock because there are few rare/common good cards easily craftable and only one good legendary per adventure.
But in my opinion if you preorder 50 packs or more for expansion then you should definately buy adventure with money too, but if you don't spend money on packs than that ratio money/gold can not be applayed to you and it might not be worth it yet. For example if I could get 50 packs for 5$ I would buy them but for 50$ i won't and I wouldn't buy them even if it was 20$ for 30 packs and than if I go with that logic I will not buy adventure either.
The biggest question is when you have someone like me who occasionally preorder when cards are great and I didn't save enough gold, which comes to about once per year, and then i think it depends on how many more packs of new adventure you want to buy and how much gold you have right now. I have little less than a 1000 and i won't be buying much more packs so i don't need to buy adventure with money

Am I right?
No, you are not right.
If you buy 28 packs, you are going to get a lot of duplicates, and you are not guaranteed even a single legendary.
If you spend 2800 gold on the adventure, you are guaranteed NO duplicates and several epics and legendaries.
Also, if you wait and buy one at a time, you can stop buying chapters if the later ones contain cards you don't care about.
In other words, the raw number of cards is not a correct metric for this comparison.
This is a no-brainer. There is no reason to spend cash on this adventure unless you are really into golden cards.
Hearthstone is a game with higher replay value if you pay cash so your collection is better. Get a side hustle so you can have most of the cards to make this game enjoyable. That's what I do and I dont regret it at all.

Completely agree: people tend to evaluate cards based on the number and not on the rarity.
Based on what we've seen so far (not much, so this is a bit of speculation), we'll probably get at least 4 Legendaries and 9 Epics (I suppose Warlock won't be the only class getting an epic).
Now, not all the 35 cards will be good or will se play, but how many packs on average do you have to open in order to get 9 epics? 45. How many for 4 Legendaries? 80.
The adventure costs 2800 gold, the equivalent of 28 packs. I know, spending gold in this way doesn't give you the orange glow thrill, but as FortyDust said,
Think of it this way: would you buy a 28 packs bundle for 20 €? Or at least, don't you think it would be an amazing value per money? If yes, you have your answer. With gold you're renouncing 28 packs of the next expansion
for most people here they will do everything they can to claim "f2p" status and not give the evil company a dime for anything they make. The mere fact the game still exists is that blizzard makes money from the continued support and development of Hearthstone. These people want to claim immortal staus of "look I've not spent a dime and I get rank "whatever". They will claim you suck if you spend money on the game at all and chastise you as an "idiot".
I claim 98-100 free packs every expansion from doing nothing but logging in to the game and completing the daily quest. I have played the game since closed beta. I have every card in the game and I'm at 67% complete golden collection. I have received more free things in the game since I've played than I can remember. 19.99 to me is about the equivalent of maybe .50 cents; I tip more for dinner than this all of the time. I can't speak for everyone but I can only speak to what I have witnessed from this community over the last 5 plus years and it's more toxic than nuclear waste. I pay the devs for their content and only use gold for new expansion packs. F2P players can thank me and millions of others for actually spending money on the game for all these years.
Don't spend money you don't have; no one really cares one way or another.
Only a fool shoots himself in the feet before running a marathon just to get a sympathy vote. :-) There's also that phrase about "cutting off your nose to spite your face". This is a perfect metaphor for those who brag about being "F2P" and achieving some rank or other.

Gold.
Also I have a question. Can I craft these cards when the adventure is launched (the ones that are meant for that week)?

Cash ofc!
You can either buy the whole thing now or buy wing by wing as they are released with either cash or gold.
I just went ahead and bought the pre-order, mostly because I like to keep my gold for arena and/or packs.
Does anyone know if the 35 cards from the adventure will be for a limited time or not?

I'm doing gold this time because I'm broke and don't have the money to spend.
Cash for me. I'll save my gold for the next expansion.
