If this is true I'll be so disappointed. This card will be in every mage deck, meaning every game is even more RNG dependant. Highlander mage is already a pretty RNG based deck
Why do some people still think random spells with random targets are fun?
I hate them! The recent brawl was absolutely awful!
Because fun is subjective and some people enjoy the random element of it. For every person that says they hate RNG you'll likely find another who likes it. There are plenty of non RNG based decks and cards and so they need to cater to people who have fun with this type of thing. I'd imagine it's aimed towards your less uber competitive crowd the ones who play to have fun and don't pull at their testicles in a tantrum every time they lose.
And just like that they killed the card. Maybe highlander mage will use it but only for a last resort card. I would never cast this trash if the match is stable. Random effects have nothing to do with skill and ppl who like random aren't good players

Yes, I also like some RNG, but the variance between the possible outcomes when all spells at all costs from any class with any targets is just stupid IMO. If there was a "Kill a random hero" card, I assume some would like that too...

See this kind of statement gets on my wick. Brian Kibler loves RNG and he's a pretty good player. It's a CARD GAME so RNG is fundamental. The best players understand and take advantage of this. A massive amount of cards in the game have some sort of random effect - do you not play them?
Some of us like to have fun and there's nothing like a bit of RNG chaos to help add some spice to the mix.
I get that a lot of players don't like RNG. That's fair enough but don't make broad statements about all rng lovers being bad players. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to legend with control dragon, elemental shaman last season and that was full of RNG. Haters can suck Hagatha's RNG tits
Casting random spells with random targets is generally a good thing. Yogg-Saron, Hope's End taught us that. Reno mage is still going to run the card because its plague of death with an upside.
That said, I still don't like the card. It's going to decide games on coin flips and since random spells are better when you're behind, it'll push mage into being more reactive in the late game and duller to play against.
Wow, that's bad. Like... Really bad. Yes, sometimes you'll get to pyroblast opponent and steal the win. But when you get twisting nether when you have lethal on board is not gonna be so nice anymore.
And to think that I was worried HP would be 'summon a random vanished minions'... Big guy every turn for 2 mana. Not even close.
Makes the card considerably worse imo, its really one of those cards u hold onto until the very last moment and see whether u live or die (reno version of yogg if u will).
Quite a few spells in this game are either awful or situational. The reason why yog was so good was cuz it lasted for one turn, and casting 10 or rather more prior to nerf, decided the entire game, even if u cast a couple of bad spells on urself it doesn't matter if u cleared the bored and got a 1/1 out of those 10 spells casted. This on the other hand would turn into a stretched rng fiesta where turns could potentially destroy you or boost or do nothing (You would say im contradicting myself by saying its literally same as yogg) albeit the difference here is the delay, waiting turns for that one specific spell to do something impactful destroys the card consistency.
Saying rng should provide some consistency sounds rather irrational but its often the case rng cards are backed with some statistics and therefore prove to be impactful. Still a very decent card imo.
Might just take this as a bored clear and replace him with jaina asap.
OMG its cool :D. It casts a random spell NOT FROM YOUR HAND. So you get a free spell cast each turn!!! :D
I hope that we're finally GONNA BE RICH.
Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron awaits.

Omg.. that is fiesta.. But is it random mage Spell or any Spell?
Fight, maggot!
Unless it spesifies "random Mage spell" in the text, it will probably be all spells. See Witch's Cauldron and Hagatha the Witch's hero power.

or casting Research Project making me overdraw but fuelling my agro opponent.
no thank you.
card sucks now
I...I love him -Arthas

More Random for Mage.. Yay..

There is only my justice now

TL;DR, strong card but stupid card.

The thing is, with that Hero Power, it's not even gonna be good.
Random spells are broken in that brawl since they came along with sticks.
Like this it's gonna be terrible. You are going to hit your own face or buff opponents stuff way too often for any consticency,
