I am not happy about Alex nerf either, highlander decks are niche. Everything else is just as anticipated by most of the people. And of course there is nothing about quest priest, just a nerf to what it is good against (pirate warrior) and what it is bad against (highlander stuff).
Overal they seem pretty alright. They touched some problem cards, although I didn't expect galakrond shaman to get hit again.
Really happy about scion, dragonqueen and necrium apothecary.
My only worry are face hunter and rez priest remaining untouched, I wonder how they'll fare, and if with these nerfs new decks can show up to counter these
so will the text be changed on dragonqueen? because if not that's a pretty weird non text change like will it read add two random dragons that aren't alex dragonqueen...that cost 0. what other cards have hidden exceptions like this...
Can't say I am happy about Dragonqueen. Are Highlander decks really a problem?
I'm fine with it tbh, it can be kinda ridiculous otherwise, even if highlander decks aren't a problem. It seems to me like they forgot that that specific interaction could happen (although I guess they could have nerfed it last patch).
Alexstrasza nerf makes sense, and doesn't really touch the power level of the card. It felt so random and stupid to win or lose games because you got a second Alex off an Alex. It feels unfair enough when a highlander deck discovers one.
Im pretty happy with these nerfs, it feels sensible. Alex was a powerspike that was a bit silly when you got multiples of her. I don't think folks have fully clocked on to the significance of Invocation of Frost going to 2 either (in that it affects Spirit of the Frog and Earthen Might)
Galakrond Warrior is still probably VERY good. It's just slightly less insane with how soon and how often you can bounce Scion.
Galakrond Shaman very rightly got hit HARD. With Frost costing so much (harder to combo with Zentinmo) and Dragon's Pack being significantly weaker (5 health is an entirely different breakpoint than 6) I think you might just be aggro'd down too quickly. Against any deck that isn't pressuring you, however, Shaman is still the fucking nuts.
Fiendish Rites change is very very odd to me. That card might be unplayable trash now. It had the best drawn w/r in the deck, but statistically, it wasn't too crazy.
Ancharr change is very big, but I think the deck will probably be fine - it'll probably just shift to going more in on Hoard Pillager.
DR Rogue might be dead. (Even though I always thought it was the worse version) the Whelp variant is basically useless. Apothecary costs basically the same as whelp now. Warbringer version is still very possible, but I think you basically have to play Galakrond now. You die far too quickly without it.
Dragonqueen should have always worked that way. It was stupid that it didnt.
I'm surprised to learn other people are surprised about the dragonqueen nerf. Being able to chain dragonqueens was rare but also (stupid)ly broken. It's effect is already extremely powerful but being able to double or triple+ the effect because luck was obviously way too much. And this surprises people?
95%+ of the time, she's going to function exactly the same, you won't even notice it. They're only removing that one incredibly broken outcome. I mean, are people that play her going to stop? Almost certainly not. I know I'll still play her.
someone wrote higlander decks deserve alex for surviving until turn 9, do they deserve to autowin vs non-highlander control/slow decks thanks to multiple copies of an OP rng based card? cool
speaking in general card is just stupid. it suits this expansion well

Stupid? Silly? LOL, hilarious comments... There are plenty of super unfair things that can happen in a game like Hearthstone and extremely retarded highrolls. They shouldn't have touched Alex, highlander decks deserve to feel super unfair sometimes just like any other type of decks. But I guess all of you hate control... -.-

Good nerfs imo, a bit surprised by Dragonqueen but overall I think they did well.
Can't say I am happy about Dragonqueen. Are Highlander decks really a problem? Don't they deserve some strong play for surviving 9 rounds vs aggro?
How dare Blizzard to nerf my queen!!! >:-(

I would have liked to see a bit more to shake up the meta more.
But they addressed the correct things that needed addressing imo.

End of Scion of Ruin infinite party
What about face hunters?
What about it?

All reasonable changes.

rip odd galakrond warrior :(
I’ve pull some many of this cards golden, so I’m happy to get my dust. Thanks Blizz
Look like they want shaman dead. There is only Quest Shaman that will be playable now, and it struggle a lot in this meta.
Kinda surprised about Fiendish Rites, sure the card was very good in zoo, but it wasn't much a problem, now it's unplayable. Rip Zoo I guess.
Good nerfs overall, I wonder what the next meta will be now (Highlander Hunter / Highlander Mage ?)
