The writing has been on the wall ever since Team 5 began the Great Charge Purge.
I'm honestly surprised ol' Leeroy made it this far. It's well past time for him to retire.
Replace him in Classic with a 5-mana 1/1: At the end of your turn, deal 6 damage to the enemy hero.
That way, the damage can't be increased, your opponent can get rid of it easily, and it lacks the anti-minion versatility of Leeroy Jenkins, but it can still be used as a finisher.

I agree. The most popular Warrior build right now can use this card after Galakrond for a combo that does at least 28 damage in face damage in a single turn (I think.) I hate losing to nonsense like that. You can literally out play your opponent the entire game and still lose because you can't play around some insane combo.
The RnG required to pull that off is extremely unlikely and borderline impossible to do with anything resembling consistency. You would have to gamble heavily on not drawing Leeroy in the first half of the game (or more), then trying to hit him out of the many other minions when you play Galakrond. Being able to God-Draw a massive combo on such a rarity is really not a big deal in a game like this.
While you are right that the 24 damage plus 3/4 leeroy combo is unlikely you are often fairly happy with the 16 damage combo for 8 mana.
It was consistent enough to carry me to legend finishing well over 50 % games with leeroy combo
I have mixed feelings about this. I do have some eye-rolly feelings these days when I get hit with leeroy just because of how long he's been around doing the same thing. That said, I don't think the card is inherently problematic or broken or anything. It's just leeroy doing leeroy things, and can it get tiresome? sure, but I don't necessarily think that means he has to go.
While I think that it's possible Leeroy could see the HoF at some point, sending him there wouldn't really change much. Reckless Rocketeer will basically do the exact same thing. You will still get burst down from more than you want to be burst down from.
The break points are slightly different, but people would pretty quickly adapt.
How come anyone didn't complain about him in the past that much? Just because now Blizz vomited some aggro tools he is op?
I could ask for insane control tools like Brawl or Twisting Nether to be HOF'd, because they REALLY put a halt to your tempo if you have a good board. See how easy it is to find victims?
All neutral charge should go. Leeroy, rocketeer and the boar. I remember before Leeroy was nerfed, losing to rogues who would have a “combo” of Leeroy plus two shadow step dealing 18 damage from hand on turn 8. He has been a finisher for aggro decks since the game began, let him HoF and take the other neutral charges with him. Same goes for Malygos. Next expansion, wouldn’t it be nice if they printed some decent class specific and identifying aggro cards along with other class identity cards. Priest should never be aggro and should never have charge cards. Hunter should never be control and deserves a charge minion or two.
True, but they did HOF all the even/odd mechanics 1 year before they rotated right?
Genn and Baku warped the entire meta around them, every card had to be balanced around the even/odd strategy.
Zilliax is used in many, many decks, but he's not meta-defining, no deck has a strategy built around him, he doesn't wins you games on his own unlike Leeroy.
why? so that people like you can keep playing their brainless game?
Or because unlike people like you there are better options out there that don't involve whining on hearthpwn about every single thing you personally deem unfair.
Do you not realize that there has not been a single day that has passed that someone wasn't whining on these forums about whatever card/deck is currently on top? There will literally always be a strongest deck, and whatever is making that deck strong will be complained about.
There's 0 counterargument that you or anyone else on here could make that is valid against that point. The point of people on here always bitch about something that they lost to. Because this isn't opinion, it is just fact. Go find me a day where there hasn't been complaining.
And if your counter argument is "yeah because Blizzard can't balance crap and the game has always sucked." QUIT PLAYING. Wow, what a notion.
why? so that people like you can keep playing their brainless game?
How is the presence of a finisher "brainless". Or are you one of those "aggro is brainless" tards? Name me one good player who doesn't play Aggro at some point or another?
Me. I have honestly solely played midrange, highlander and control decks

Of course, the point of complaining is the hope that something will be done so that no one has to quit.
And to be clear, no one is complaining about a deck here. This is about a specific, singular card that has been problematic from time to time -- and has appeared in nearly every aggro deck -- since the launch of the game.
But recent decks do serve to highlight just how problematic Charge continues to be. The ability to easily buff and duplicate Leeroy has an exponential effect on the problems that already existed with the card.
As I pointed out in my previous post, Leeroy could be replaced in Classic with a card that serves the same basic function without the threat of being increased and multiplied.

So Leeroy is making people quit? Really? There are players out there who basically love Hearthstone, can't wait to play, but they lose once or twice to a Leeroy combo, and uninstall the game and never play it again?
I actually think HoFing Leeroy is ok at this point. He has had his moment in the sun, being a staple in almost every tempo and aggro deck for a very long time. It is also interresting that several cards that were problematic WITH leeroy have already been HOFed or nerfed, like Power Overwhelming and Cold Blood. Blizzard is very greedy, and do not nerf or HOF legendaries if they can somehow avoid it.
Other finishers would have to be printed, though, especially for Rogue. Otherwise, Rogue, would be unable to play the tempo game, which is core to the class' identity imo.
Also, a combo vs control meta is a lot less interresting than people think, and it will happen if a leeroy HoF bring all of aggro with him.
While I think that it's possible Leeroy could see the HoF at some point, sending him there wouldn't really change much. Reckless Rocketeer will basically do the exact same thing. You will still get burst down from more than you want to be burst down from.

Leeroy is certainly not the problem here. More like Blizzards way of thinking what kind of " broken " cards players have the most "fun" to play at the moment.... Wich unfortunately often includes mana cheating, buffs etc. who all work very well with charge minions.
Of course they could remove all chargers ( wich would probably also heavily influence the way Rogue plays out) , but Blizzard WANTS people to play this way. They don’t want games to go to fatuige regularly.
My bet is, Leeroy will never get HoF‘ed , but I’m up for a surprise.

People have been complaining about Leeroy since launch. it comes and goes based on whether he's in a top meta deck, that's all.
Of course no one complains when he's not in the meta. Why would they?

A simple search might have helped there - people have been complaining about Leeroy since BETA... :-P
yeah but i think if you gonna search any card you wild find people complain about it xd
