I've never considered Zep being a problem card, I like it and I feel like it's a cool idea that any class has an opportunity to build around it. 2 comments, first is that I like playing against Zep decks because they are usually fun decks that use a lot of off the wall cards you don't normally see. 2nd, I just wanna point out that not running any duplicates is a HUGE downside. OP says that restriction doesn't seem as severe any more, but I would disagree and the proof is in the data. If you look at the top performing decks by the numbers, refined decks that run 2 of their most powerful cards are the top decks that have the highest win rates. The Zep version always has a lower win rate, because statistically you are more likely to benefit almost every game from having access to 2 copies of the cards you want, whereas with Zep you might not even draw it at all or draw it so late in the game that you're already in a losing position (and probably in that position BECAUSE you weren't running 2 copies of your best cards throughout the game). I say the price paid for Zep is more steep then you give credit for.
God forbid Blizz introduces some fresh cards and makes Highlander viable again. The fact you have 1 copy of each card is punishment enough for playing Zeph.
I understand salt, really. But he has no place to be complained about.
Hearthstone esports scene was at it's peak around the time of Reno's release. I have never been a big follower of competitive hearthstone but I understand how it made for entertaining viewing when someone drew reno when they needed it in a semi-final scenario.
I think Blizzard is just trying to recapture that atmosphere and excitement from a by-gone age.
'One of' decks haven't had the same love since league of explorers and I respect them for trying to put some focus in to that aspect of play because it was a fun time to be playing hearthstone but Zephyrs doesn't do anything to sustain that feeling, it's just a frustration with little counter play.

(Pre-nerf) Razakus Priest would like to have a word with you.
