Yeah. There are different ways you can enjoy it, but the most obvious one is winning. You can’t really have fun loosing. So why not build some metabreaker decks and win a bunch with them? I got to rank 1/legend for two seasons in a row so far and I really recommend doing the same thing if you get bored of just copying other people’s decks!
I would'nt say you cant have fun losing its more a case of you cant have fun losing to aggro decks since the game is over by turn 8 or something if it even lasts that long. I have fun losing aslong as i get to play my deck and most of the decks i play are probably under 30% win rate but i still have a ton of fun with them when i play against none aggro decks, Against aggro decks sure it is'nt as much fun but thats just Hearthstone you're always going to have aggro decks and if you're playing for fun they are generally going to be the least fun matches for you.
Dont get me wrong i have more fun when i play someone else who isnt playing a netdecked deck, Playing against the same decks over and over again is just as boring as playing the same decks over and over again for me which is why i only play a few games a day. It is harder to have fun though in the game with so many tools out there that are so anti fun, Meta guides, Mulligan guides, Drafting addons for arena, Everything has a tier list, Everything has a win rate and the past few expansions the meta has been decided before the expansion even hits, You used to get a couple of week atleast of people experimenting with decks and just having fun, This expansion that was done after the first day.
Only the fantards have fun as T5 print predominantly cards for them (aggressive and skill free). It's like only the Trump folk enjoy Trump. And the other half? Well they dig in and wait for better times. But for me 'Trump' is reigning since the conception of the game.

Yeah the monetizing of HS strategy has really hurt the meta overall. Even low ranks are 80-90% net decked. I’m glad they added ranks 50-26 for newbies so they aren’t getting facerolled by underachievers with big collections.
For many expansions I only play in few weeks after release and after that only complete the daily quests, usually you see only the 2 or 3 meta decks over and over and that is boring as hell to me.
Everything chance with this new recent expansion, before nerfs I concede vs shamans and have a lot of fun with everyone else and after the nerfs I can't complain much, the only thing keeping me to say this is the absolute best moment in HS history is the struggle of one of my favorite classes is suffer now, if mage get back in your feets with the new adventure will be awesome, other than that the meta is great, you can play aggro, midrange, control, combo, highlander, etc...
With all the money I've put into it I damn sure better be having fun or I could be spending that money on hookers or huffing paint or betting on cock fighting or any number of things. Or, given what I've spent over the years I could probably take multiple hookers out for a delightful night of betting on cock fights while huffing paint.
Rng in this game is what causes me to stop playing it..just had a game where my opponent got 3 Pyroblast from Yogg's puzzle box and... you got it! All to my face...I mean..I should get gud like others say..
Hearthstone has been superseded by other, more interesting. more skill-intensive games. The devs have failed to meet community expectations, so it's just slowly declining.
I have fun with the new expansion for maybe 2 weeks. That is certainly not worth paying hundreds of dollars for. I basically just quit the game, until the next expansion/update.

Yes, Eternal is THE game that will destroy Hearthstone. Or was it Gwent?
Oh, I just remembered. The game has been dying since Beta according to the people who can't play to save their lives.
Yup. But I only play casual, and lately its only been casual wild on top of that. In standard, it usually bottle necks itself into a handful of the same decks day in and out through a meta. In wild, there's more variety. And I'm the type of gamer who enjoys his variety. Not to mention wild makes more use of the highlander mechanic,
I don't rank much past getting the 5 wins required for collecting cardback skins, as i do enjoy collecting those. You'd be amazed how much pressure that takes off of you win your playing through quests in casual.
Frankly I love hearthstone because it satisfies my "TCG Urges" with OUT having to fill my house up with dozens of physical boxes filled with common card stuff again like in the old magic days. Seriously, you have no idea how fast and easy it is to build up a huge collection of common or even uncommon magic the gathering cards from packs. Yikes.
I started playing 2015 after blackrock mountain was released then took a break just before KOFT was released. Now I started playing again after tombs of terror.
I got to say from my experience, burn out is a thing. Seeing the same thing over and over wore me out. Even logging in every 3 days for the quest became a burden.
But after taking a break I regained my interest again. There's more fun in learning about "new" cards. (New for me is 2 rotations worth of cards lol). The downside is though, i cant play wild anymore since my collection in so far behind.

HAHAHA. You do realize the vast majority of people who play this game haven't a clue when it comes to deck building, right? It's why net decking is so popular. If people had to build their own decks, AT LEAST 50% of the player base would either quit or become completely inept.

It's not going to just wink out and be gone. But, whether you like to admit it or not, all of the numbers suggest that the game is in fact not only declining in popularity and player base, but has been for some time now. It will continue to be viable, but there is no doubt the game is in decline, and part of that is absolutely due to fed up players going off to play other games.
I'm having a lot of fun! Really enjoying the new Set. Having a lot of fun with quest warlock. Just this week I found out the max deck size is 60 cards
I am a f2p player, so I can really only focus on one or two classes at a time. I just seem to only open warlock legendary cards, so I think I'm destined to play that class.
Just uninstalled and never going back to this ptw, unbalanced, outdated engine driven, annoying, "get rewarded for playing bad" and "punished for playing well" card game! Felt good! I understand that others enjoy the game, but for me it's too much OP cards and random effects. When I'm not enjoying a game, I uninstall, and move on.
I would add another category that is for collecting ,I really like expanding my card pool but I'm not very excited in playing it atm.Wild is a lot more enjoyable imo tho
Yes but I think I've been where you are. I've definitely had points where I'm not and wonder wtf I'm doing. I'm playing Togwaggle Druid in Wild now and loving it.

Yes, but because I mostly play for memes or play Arena. Grinding against the ladder is enough to make anyone not have fun.
