How is it possible that people obsess over the smallest shit in this game, and not a single person cares about how people act? I've played most of the day today, and just about every person that's beaten me has played extra cards after they had lethal, if they could. Could you imagine someone doing this in real life? No, because no one would ever play games with them. It's really the most pitiful thing I've ever seen, that every single person I play needs to rub their opponent's nose in a loss just to make themselves feel superior. But it's just the opposite. All you are proving is that you are the most petty people in the world, having to act like a douche bag just to make yourself feel less inadequate.
All I want to do is play a game, have some fun, and avoid assholes. But no, this game isn't about fun, it's about some sort of weird, angry, sadistic, socially dysfunctional obsession. You want to feel better about yourself? Instead of acting like a douche bag, why not just be nice to people? Then they will like you, and you will be happier. Trying to piss someone off in a silly game only convinces both your opponent an yourself that you're just a joke. And you annoy your opponent for a few seconds, and they never think of you again, and you have to live with being a jerk that no one likes 24/7. I just don't get the mentality, and I don't get why no one cares.
There's hardly anything less consequential than a silly little game like this, and hardly anything more important in life than the way that you treat people. Such is the Internet, I guess, where a small amount of sadists and sociopaths have have taught a huge amount of socially-unaware people that self-esteem is based on treating people like shit. And the extremely sad thing is that people even stop noticing it, I think. It's sad that you can't have an basic notion of how to treat people and enjoy this game. I'm sure there are people that will say I'm to sensitive. I'm not. It's just extraordinarily sad to see so many people that have no empathy or any idea how to treat people.
I couldn’t have so any better my self people who play xtra cards when the game is over are so irritating just end the game. Some one will say well just conceed no u do the killing blow and end the game.
I usually play every turn as best as I can. Sometimes, if I play JUST to the lethal I screw it up. If I play every turn to the best it can be played, I am setting up good habits. My opponent is free to concede at any time.
I wish for my opponents to play at their best all the time, every time. I play this game to the challenge of it. If you want to be lazy and short cut a turn - that is on you.
If me, playing at my best, every turn, every time is upsetting to you that it is unfortunate.
I would suggest that you learn to relax a bit. Perhaps find where the concede button is and use it when you feel you have lost the game. This will protect you from getting upset that your opponent is playing the best turn he/she can. It may save some precious moments for you and your opponent. And you will feel like a superior human being.
Wow. For the record this is just your opinion. It sounds like you're assuming every person who plays extra cards is doing it specifically to make themselves feel superior at your expense.
I obviously didn't see any of your losses and there are certainly times when people are legit BMing. Roping before showing lethal from hand is a prime example. That being said, I myself will often toss out a few cards when able to let my opponent know what I had. Not because I'm showing off, but because when I lose I'll often have to consider all the key choices I made. Were my choices wrong? Did I play around the wrong card? Did they have the answer for my other cards as well? As long as they don't take their time going about it, I like it when my opponents play extra cards. This information allows me to make better plays/muligans/card inclusions.
I also see many players pass the turn when lethal is already on the board(quite obvious too), only to concede when lethal isn't quickly delivered. If people are simply waiting for them to deliver the final blow themselves and get angry when they don't(not necessarily you), save yourself the frustration and simply concede when you know you're beat.
The only pitiful, petty, douchy, angry, sadistic, socially disfunctional, natural of a jerk and absolutely lacking of empathy is your post.
There are hundreds of valid reasons that people can play more cards after lethal is achived. Been a douche is one ofc, and thats ok. People above have already mentioned several more. The fact that you didnt even consider them in your post speaks of your bitter attitude when you are defeated in this silly game as you call it. In my case for example I always like to be defeated that way because I can measure how much stronger was my opponent situation, or even allow me to know which cards he had or not if I want to see the replay in HSReplay. You DO have a concede button if how your opponent is playing does not align with your gaming-attitude-values.
The fact that you had the need to make this lecture about your so called "human nature in the internet" i think it implies that you are taking things a little more serious than you should also. Also, your absolute lack of empathy and how shortsighted you are of multiple POVs. And lets not even mention the absolutely ridiculous goal of this kind of post in a videogame forum (unless this is like your first month playing videogames in your life? Maybe?)
Um no most people have a golden Portrait and play hearthstone like they don’t know math don’t mistake playing to the fullest and playing like don’t see lethal on board .
I see a lot of valid points from OP and his critics here.
BM is the primary reason for this behavior I would argue. Personally it doesn’t bother me much but OP is right about it being an antisocial practice. He probably should just shrug it off and concede fast though.
I write to admit that I do this to BM specifically myself and I just concede when I know I am beaten. BUT! I only do it to people that BM me with emotes or play cancerous decks in my opinion.
If you beat a cancer deck with a non-cancer deck then it is earned in my view. Of course you could argue that each has his own idea of what is cancer and what is not. To me it is when a deck plays unfair cards. Examples are Shaman Quest, Druid quest, convincing infiltrator, necrium apothecary, sea/mountain giants and other mana cheat cards. Also special mention of Dr boom.
If you play these cards that are inherently unfun to your opponent then you deserve what you get.
If you want to shoot at me. I play hunter, highlander. I use Zephrys and dinotamer which are very strong. But the deck has 0 mana cheats, there are no zephrys bounces or copies. The deck is honest and that is how I like it.
Edit: For this meta I say it is much better than before the expansion. Decks are powerful but there is less cancer. Galakrond decks are very strong but they are honest decks. All we have to deal with is resurrect priest and deathrattle rogue.
That’s on you OP. I always end games as quickly as possible, but I sometimes hate when players keep playing when they have clearly lost. If we both have 10 mana and you are top decking as hunter against control priest, it’s BM to not concede.
It's one of the only chances to show a little flare in this ultracompetitive game. Trying to put together a creative fatality with what you have can be very fun. It doesn't bother me if an oppone t does it to me, maybe it will make me laugh. Really suggest that ppl cut the umbilical cord on their feelings when playing this game. Just learn to laugh at all the broken and toxic elements in it. Youll sleep better and live longer.
How is it possible that people obsess over the smallest shit in this game, and not a single person cares about how people act?
The forum is full of complaints (sorry, but usually only from cry babies) about people's behaviour while playing Hearthstone. Do some research before posting.

LMAO. What??? That's not true, many of us don't give a shit about how nice or rude our opponents are IRL, we only care about how good at the game they are, mostly because they are very useful for our improvement.
Again, what??? How do you know they need to do it just to feel superior??? WTF, dude... I for instance do it all the time. And do you know why? Because it's funny!!! ;) Killing your opponent in the most possible "cruel" way is exactly the same as killing him or her using a Fatality in a Mortal Kombat game (as Live4vrRdieTryn already said), that's all. And as far as I know, normal people do not complain about Fatalities... -.-
But no, this game isn't about fun, it's about some sort of weird, angry, sadistic, socially dysfunctional obsession. You want to feel better about yourself? Instead of acting like a douche bag, why not just be nice to people? Then they will like you, and you will be happier. It seems you really know nothing about people behaviour and preferences, my friend. Stop watching silly Disney series and movies, they are not good for you. Try to look around you and understand much better the world. Jerks are not alone in real life, most of the time it is exactly the opposite... ;) Not trying to be an asshole, but seriously, do you live under a rock or what? How old are you? :/
There's hardly anything less consequential than a silly little game like this, and hardly anything more important in life than the way that you treat people.
Now you call Hearthstone a silly little game, WTF??? -.- Do you seriously considere "stupid" the same video game you want to play so desperately in your little safe space??? Very, very funny stuff we have here, my friend.
No empathy? No idea how to treat people? Dude, I'm now 100% convinced you know shit about reality and real life. You should stop playing Hearthstone a bit, go outside from time to time and realize once and for all we live in a shitty world that doesn't need, neither cares about our good or bad intentions...
Have you seen that episode of Southpark where that overweight, long haired dude shits on the kids in World of Warcraft?
It's kinda like that.
When people are BMing and playing cards while having lethal, they're not doing it with malicious intent.
We're just clicking buttons It's nothing personal.
If I happened to BM like that, I was probably watching Dave Chappelle and listening to his material, not even conscious of the fact that I was BMing an opponent, only to have that opponent throw a hissy fit and throw his monitor out the window because he took it personally. Meanwhile, I'm now petting my puppy that's just managed to walk into my room. Such is life.
It definitely feels good to be superior in a video game, be it hearthstone or any other game out there (and don't pretend it doesn't). Heck even if one wins in UNO it's a good feeling - that's what games are partly about. In Hearthstone you have so many ways of being a jerk though and yes some people do it for no reason or to piss one off because they lost all the other games that day.
There are so many ways to annoy someone...roping at turn 1-2, BM via Emotes (they should be auto-disabled by default), not finishing off an opponent and wasting time/forcing him to concede or as you stated playing extra cards after the game is already over for you.
And yes, there are people out there who really need to do that.
The game is designed around a rock/paper/scissor loop. Often times you will see scissor players BMing you when you are paper, which is just hilarious as they had an advantage the whole game anyways. Don't let it get to you though. It's human...sadly.

Maybe they play extra cards for XP for their characters or for Quest.
Aactually i don't care if someone plays some extra cards if he is happy 'bout it.

Feel free to lock this one as well.
Maybe you should just try not letting it get to you. Did you think of that before typing all of this out?
Um no most people have a golden Portrait and play hearthstone like they don’t know math don’t mistake playing to the fullest and playing like don’t see lethal on board .
Maybe we want the game over when it’s over. Did you ever think that .
Conceding is very easy - hell, I do it turn 2 sometimes.
if you don't want people to play extra cards (which they might be doing to complete a quest) just concede so they can't.
I see a lot of valid points from OP and his critics here.

I kinda like to see what my opponent was holding. I know it is a flex, but it's nice to get that info anyway IMHO.
