Maybe if you're rank 20 or under you only get matched vs other players rank 20 or under. Completing closing the mode off for more dedicated players is a ridiculous suggestion.
I'd like it if they changed the rules so there was flexibility for people who want to play fun value or meme decks to play similar minded people. Or created a 'practice' mode for people who want to learn and improve with their ladder decks.
Casual is awash with tier one net decks and aggro which is frustrating when you want to mess about.
They have cards like zephrys that can predict outcomes to some level, the matchmaking should come up with a deck power that helps to match and if some new deck enters the meta its cards will quickly start bumping out others.
im still hoping they make a sandbox mode where you can make a lobby or something with custom rules... this is what casual should be...
Like, do you want to play with random people with decks containing 60 cards instead of 30? or are cardlimits raised to 4 of each, or must everyone play with highlander decks containing 100 cards?
make the rules adjustable like with physical card games...

Casual mode has its own hidden mmr. U are playing against someone of ur own lvl on that mode. And don't say things like ive never been past rank 15 and ive faced legend card back players. It doesn't take ladder into account only casual. Plus ive faced those players and they are always around lvl 15 to 17. They just reached legend like one time with some old aggro deck
First things first, casual is a misnomer. It should more accurately be called 'unranked', because nothing about the mode 'forces' it to be casual. Because of hidden MMR seeking to get you a ~50% winrate, as long as you win more than you lose (which will happen if you don't straight up suck) you'll eventually run into tier decks of varying quality.
I would personally like some sort of more accurate casual mode, but honestly I don't know exactly how you'd achieve this. No matter what restrictions you put into it a competitive meta could build up around it (for example, Magic has pauper/artisan which don't allow the use of rares or mythics - and you better believe you can't just throw anything together and expect to have much of a chance if your opponent is using one of the best decks).
I agree that Casual isn't working (for many) as intended, but no, I shouldn't have to play ranked if I'm above 20.
I like the idea of being able to set up custom rules for causal matches. I'd happily wait longer for a match if it meant not having to play against top tier ladder decks.
As I been saying forever, all I found that casual is are a bunch of high rank legend players that don't want to lose their legend points. All casual is is a legend 2.0 mode. You will never find a fun, interactive, tier 5 type decks. It's all tier 1 netdecks like renolocks and big priest. All the fun decks that the people are always complaining about.
Agreed with most points here. It is what it is, Some do it to keep their ranking while continuing to play. While others get off by abusing lesser players.
If you play Casual, the MMR matches you against people with similar skill level, so you are already playing against people who suck as much as you do. Further artificial tinkering with that formula will not change anything.
By design, your Casual win rate is and always will be around 50 percent overall. If you don't like that, you are a bad sport. You need to learn that it's OK if the other person wins half the time.
If you think you should be able to do better than 50 percent, then you have a competitive mindset and should be playing Ranked.
If you are competitive but are unwilling to use and play against the "same old meta decks," then you don't understand what it takes to be truly competitive.
If you are of a competitive mindset but cannot afford the cards needed to play Ranked, you are out of luck. Hearthstone is not a great game for competitive players who cannot or will not spend money. It's not pay to win, but it's definitely pay to compete.

I would prefere "only non-netdecks decks" rule, basically "fun mod" for people who are tired of facing the same five shit netdecks every game in ranked. Your rule is incredibly stupid as you play vs rank 20 and lower if you are ... well, rank 20 and lower.
But it is up to people as always since there is no way for blizard to enforce this as they are a small indie company.

Only people rank 20 lower, for example, should be allowed to play in Casual
no
Basically bads mode.
Terrible idea btw no one should be forced to suck at the game in order to play casual
Playtesting grounds should be available to all, but I agree that casual deserve its spot.
Players can playtest copied netdecks at ranked 25, those decks are already proven. The deck makers want their grounds.

A mode where noobs are forced to play against smurfs? Sounds great...

Just let us ban cards or classes so the aggro idiots can face each other lol
