Considering Priest has a way of putting 45 charge damage on the board at turn 8 ... I'm pretty sure priest is doing just as fine as any other aggro class.
I'm playing priest a lot right now. While a ton of fun, galakronds ability is way too random to be reliable. There are a bit too many below average minions for it to pay off.
I've noticed though, that most of these bad minions come from witchwoods, boomsday and rastakhan's. So next rotation he will get much much better.
Also, hyper value decks seem to beat this deck with ease. Now that shaman got nerfed, i threw in. 2x Mass Dispel and 2x Cabal Shadow Priest since rogues are extremely rampant at rank 5, but even then you heavily rely on getting these techs before they get their necrium deathrattles.
vs other decks i dont seem to have too much issues though, except galakrond shaman ofc.
If you want I'll send the decklist.
I agree with what you said, I also think mass dispel is great. Be sure to post your decklist, I'd love too see it

Very cool list, well balanced, lots of aoe and single target removals, good draw and value generetion. I think it may rise after raven rotates out, it has infinite value so it will be great to counter a faster meta.
Imo they should buff the battlecry to destroy 2/4/8 enemy minions. Wait you can only have 7. Then make it RANDOM MINIONS, I mean you probably have 0/don’t care about them if you are control priest. Quite an easy fix imo.
Control priest has removals against shaman, silence against rogue and heal against face hunter so why no one is using it?
>> removals against shaman
Both Galakrond Shaman and Quest Shaman can put enough pressure on the board to force Priest to use its removals while simultaneously advancing Galakrond and Shudderwock; by the time either of those cards come out, Priest is out of resources and Shaman is threatening lethal.
>>Silence against rogue
This is really only applicable against that hyper-greedy Anubisath Warbringer deck, and even then if they pull off the Necrium Blade you're only preventing one of their buffs. Shamans are starting to run Earth Shock for the same reason, and we're not seeing a statistical change the matchup.
>>Heal against facehunter
Against the aggressive Toxic Reinforcements version sure you can probably out heal them, but against Quest and Highlander you're dead.
Meanwhile, you've loaded up your deck with so much tech--clears for shaman, silences for rogue, heals for aggro--that you forgot to include any sort of win condition.
There's too much card generation in the meta and this will be the case until April of 2021. Some classes that are supposed to have card generation as a weakness have difficulty not overfilling their hands atm. Control priest is fine until you run out of control and the enemy still has a full hand.
Originally ran murozond. but murozond doesn't copy battlecries so whatever you copy of your opponent will be a mediocre version with an 8/8. I ended up pretty much never playing murozond because of it, but I still needed just enough dragons. So I opted for dragonqueen, which is basically my super swing against slow decks (such as highlanders and some odd-ball control guys that appear every now and then). People ran zephrys in non-highlander decks because they could stall until he was usable. this is pretty much the same case. And it has won me a ton of control matchups.

Yeah priest has amazingly good response cards right now, just missing some solid degenerate combo or playstyle, which other classes have.

I do agree, I think a combo finisher would be nice, though I think if you run a good list and you're a smart player you can obliterate with priest. Don't want to do a shameless promo, but I'd suggest you checking my deck on my profile, it currently has 61%wr and I believe it will grow
Seriously, combo Priest is awesome in this meta. After the nerf I went from rank 9 to 5 with 2 or 3 loses and they where mostly due to back draws. Hunters, Shamans, Pirates etc. are so easy.
There may be no way to make Galakrond Priest not terrible. I'm working on it. In my deck I have no neutral invokers. You don't need this Galakrond to get to its best battlecry and you don't want to invoke more than you have to. Four is enough to get you two invokes usually in time for the 4 mana dragon or Galakrond. Once you play Galakrond you can use his hero power for value (memes). Lots of board clears and some heals in the deck. Seems like a bit of progress.

You should at least be running the taunt invokes. Destroying 4 minions is incredibly valuable in this board centric meta. Having 6 invokes also just adds consistency. Beyond that I think, right now, the deck needs a controlish shell. Put in Talanji to empty your hand, maybe a seance for round 2 if you feel it’s needed. The issue isn’t so much the deck as the meta.

Priest is not good cause Priest has no good cards.

Here you go:

Dragonqueen ...are you f*cking kidding me

If only priest had a legendary that summoned all that random crap in your hand onto the board at once...hmmm

Um there out there somewhere between the shaman and mages there are priest I faced about 4 in a row.
