While I'm looking forward to extra dust I find it very weird that they will drop the nerf announcement and the nerfs at the same day. Has this happened before? I really can't recall.
Nope. They've never done a same day thing before.
Never seen a week 2 nerf either. Hoping it turns out to be the case - gut Shaman and Faceless Corruptor, so that we finally get to enjoy more than 10-15 % of this expansion (which, to be fair, looks like it could have a lot of fun and/or interesting cards, once competitive viability expands a bit).
I am already running a priest deck that can destroy pirate warrior and death rattle rogue, but like every other deck, it struggles against Galakrond shaman. Grave Rune is such a powerful card, especially on Khartut Defender. Without a silence, that is six taunt minions and 18 health. My prediction is that priest will rise in popularity to counter the aggro decks, and silence will be a key part of the new meta because of it. Hardly anyone runs silence right now because an 8/8 rush that is silenced is still going to your face next turn. Sorry if that is a bit of a tangent, good riddance Shaman.
I've been trying Muzzy's variant that uses Grave Horrors--obviously no healing from the deathrattles, but it's also nice having a board full of 7/8s. I'll have to give your version a try, though.

That's true. I guess the community reaction was so strong they knew they couldn't wait.
Faceless Corruptor will still be OP even at 6 mana, they might change it to 7 (in case preserving stats). That +2 mana nerfs already had happened before.
I opened a golden Faceless Corruptor. I’m fully expecting and looking forward to that 800 dust tomorrow.
Im not sure it’s ever been easier to generate tokens or 1 mana minions then it is now. Not sure how they thought this card wasn’t going to blow the roof off.
They will probably raise the cost of the Shaman Galakrond to 9, that way it can’t be combined with Double Battlecry.
Nope i dont think so because all the galakrond is 7 mana so they wil let that untoched i think
That doesn’t mean anything. They nerfed the Dr. Boom Hero card to 9 mana when he was always a 7-cost card originally. The whole 7/7/7 joke.
Okay but there wasn't a Dr.Boom for 4 other classes that was also an expansion theme. Shaman galakrond may be nerfed, but I can 99.999999% guarantee you it will no be the mana cost.
Its also worth noting that regular galak shaman is better than the quest variant.

Both of them said on twitter that it should come out today but lets see what happens.
"You people are idiots wishing for shaman nerfs! Shamans were the only thing holding rogues and pirate warriors and who knows what other horrors at bay! now you will wish shaman were back"
No, because now I can build a control deck to specifically counter those and don't have to worry about needing 2 full boardclears and sustain 20 dmg to the face rounds 7-9
Shaman isn´t that good at all. It depents on a good early draw.
I tried it out just to know what expect about and the first 3 games I´ve lost totally, cause I´ve drawn up till turn8-10 only one Invokecard per game. The turn I want to use Kronx to draw Galakrond, I´ve drawn him allready. So Kronx was a dead card on my hand. I´ve got a hand full of cards which I can´t use. While my opponent has a huge board, I just could play some lackeys or other small minions which did nothing. You also need some luck in carddraw. It´s not an autowin. But if you have the luck and get your invokecards early it is hard to play against.
I for myself don´t like playing Galakrond-Shaman that much. I prefer Questhunter and Zoolock. Zoo is just not always that good, but Hunter is ok. Pirate-Warrior is also a little nice to play. And I will test Galakrond-Rogue as well, as far as I have time for it. If I want to play shaman I guess I will play Even-Shaman in wild. Thats more funny for me.
Invoking only once by turn 10 is unbelievable especially over several games. Also, Kronx is not a dead card because he can unleash a devastation. Nice try though.

Yeah but it really happened to me three times in a row. The next game was great then and the 5th was ok, but also lost due to too much minions from my opponent. So you would play a Galakrond which has only invoked one time? I was hoping for another invokecard, so I haven´t played Galakrond. That´s why Kronx was a dead card on my hand. It wouldn´t had helped me out playing Galakrond, cause my opponent had too much minions on board I couldn´t deal with.
I was planning to play Masters Tour qualifier on Friday and they decided to drop the nerf prior... Damn you Blizzard, now I have to refine all my decks again!
I remember fondly when people said just before the extension "shaman will be the least powerful this time too"
What?
Everyone with a IQ higher than a stone said Shamans got ( one of the ) strongest cards in DoD. Vicious Syndicate put it best when they wrote: The rich got richer...

1. Anecdotal evidence isn't evidence. You're citing three games to say the deck "isn't that good at all". HSReplay collects data from thousands of games, and their statistics (as well as presumably those of the devs, who brought out the nerf gun record early this time) show that it's wildly unbalanced.
2. Even in the non-quest version (which is better), shaman has absolutely zero problems invoking consistently. Actually, because of Corrupt Elementalist they are probably the only class that can realistically drop a fully charged Galakrond on curve relatively often. Outside of unlikely and unlucky streaks, shamans "needing luck" to get the invokes going is not a thing.

Can you send the decklist? I also try to make priest work but I simply lose evertime.

It should be announced later today. I think: 10am PST, 1pm EST, 7pm CET
