Yeah, Shaman in general is busted. I can't wait for the nerf, curious to see how they are going to do it. But I do hope they are not skimpy on the dust, even if they have to HoF something or nerf it into the ground.
I kind of hope they HoF it with this nerf patch. It's been causing problems left and right since its release. Galakrond has a ridiculous battlecry and Shaman being the only class that can double it with Shudderwock ( along with every other battlecry ) is bound to be broken. If they nerf the shaman Galakrond enough so it's not broken with Shudderwock...it will be super weak when it rotates next expansion so there is no good way to balance it out.
Nerf things, sure. Including (but not limited to) multiple Shaman cards. But lets stop with this HOF nonsense. It was only done for non Classic cards once. It set a bad precedent.
What's funny is people on this forum actually defend it still. I've literally read "oh what shaman is finally good and that's a problem but you guys were fine with pirate warrior back in the day and such?" No, we weren't fine with that either, and people back then called for nerfs as well.
And then these classic people saying "my homebrew beats it 90% of the time." You have to love those un-backed facts.
I remember when this they released the expansion including Shudderwock Ben Brode was still working at Blizzard and I’m pretty sure he said he didn’t want them to release this card :D
shaman have been dropping and dropping since the new xpack... its under 60% win rate now if there let it stay it will be at 55% in 1 week
Even if that were true, 55% winrate is still way too high.
That deck is seeing playrates of over 50% and at high ranks, over 75% so an emergency nerf is happening. The reason the winrate is dropping is because it's 50% in the mirror.
just chill shudder isnt so broken, and 4 more months and he will be rotated
I believe the quest will get nerfed instead, Blizz will just let shudderwock rotate nautrally in april. Maybe they nerf a key battlecry card that's broken with shudderwock.
Shudder standalone has a nice battlecry and he was a sleeper/mediocre after chain gang nerf.
Not shudder is the problem but the battlecries. Hs has strong battlecries in almost every set, and the set wil ldeterminate shudder.
Yes yes mentioned above that he limits design space which is correct, but i feel that the DoD strong shaman battlecries just nuts. it doesnt matter shudder is available or not, these gala shammy just strong.
Shudder proved that when its not infinite its just a good card and thats all.
Thanks for asking and sorry about leaving the comment without explanation as below some other 2 dimensional commenters.
And yes, maybe not a thing that i say just chill cause shudder has 4 months in standard and yes, im tired cause a highroll or op gameplay makes people "nerf commanders"
not a shaman player never interested in and never gonna play just sometimes for homebrew fun
In my opinion, all that needs to happen for it to still be playable, but not broken, is to make it only replay your minions' Battlecries. This would shut it down in Galakrond Shaman, but not other lists.

That's not a bad option. I would prefer that it only repeated a limited number of battlecries, circa Da Undatakah--he's a card who's flavorful and fun to build a deck around yet still too random / slow to actually affect the meta.

When will they hall of fame this card?. It's so broken, its disgusting.
Yeah they should do something about that card.

I'd like the explanation of why you feel this way without you and countless others just saying "it's not broken" without explanation?
Shudderwock limits design space. If they print a strong battlecry then Shudderwock will be nuts.
They just want to play 1 class saving dust and money for a whole year 5Head but when a nerf is about to come they are scared as fuck.
You mean strong battlecry like: 7 mana gain 5 armor, equip 5/2 weapon and summon two 8/8 elementals with rush?
Sure hope they never do that ;)
In death, I exact my revenge!
Yeah and knowing blizz, they will give Shaman even more crazy stuff.
