Did you even play during late 2016 when Midrange Shaman was a thing? That deck was way more cancerous than Galakrond Shaman.
The swiftness in adjustments isn't because Galakrond Shaman is the most powerful deck of all time, it is that DoD had glaring issues on launch that only exacerbated a previously ongoing issue.
It isn't because the deck is completely busted (spoiler: it isn't). It is because it is completely invalidating an entire set at launch.
Sure, it has a high win rate that needs to be addressed. But this whole 65%+ was day 1 and that people seem to be crying over without any fundamental understanding of statistical curves as they pertain to a game and release content, is absurd.
Midrange Shaman was absolutely toxic. God I loved that deck. Something about winning before your opponent can do anything is great. At least Galakrond Shaman still lets the other player play a bit of Hearthstone.
There were much more obscure, cancerful decks like razakus priest gadgetzan pirate warrior, jade druid, huntertaker (not played against this one).patron warrior was absurdly powerful as well.
Yes,galakrond shaman needs nerf and balancing, thats for sure, but their early game is not most stuninng thing.
What do you guys think? This is the most OP deck ever?
We have fastest nerf ever and win percent is also sick.
Prenerf druid with 2 manas ramp, 0 mana get 2 manas spell, 5 manas Nourish and easily UI turn 5 or 6 and old MC paladin in perfect hand can put a good fight vs this deck but you know what is the true strengh of Galakrond shaman? Consistency, there is not bad hands for that deck, from turn 1 to turn 9 you have strong tempo plays what deny any advantage an aggro or tempo deck can have and the late game is so broken they outvalue midrange and control decks, no other decks in HS history have so powerful plays with no weakness.
This deck proves for sure they don't have tests at all, they just release and hope for the best.
It's nuts, but it doesn't come close to the actual best deck of all time, star aligner druid. Oh, what's that? You can summon two 8/8s on turn 7? Oh, well it's a good thing I can deal 28 damage to your whole board, and your face, while summoning way more stats than that on turn 8. Earlier if I draw enough ramp. By the way, I can tutor my entire combo with one card, and have more armor gain than a control warrior, gl hf :). I think it's still up for debate whether it tops midrange shaman at its previous peak, and it certainly doesn't trump undertaker hunter or the aforementioned druid deck.

Yet,for current meta, yes is too op.
Oh man, I remember huntertaker. Those were the days. While that deck now days would possibly be ok, in the context of naxramas, oh man that deck was practically unstoppable.
As for shaman right now, it is beatable. Singleton mage has a really solid win rate against it, as well as if pirate warrior gets decent tempo, can steal wins quite nicely now too. However, it is still one of the most consistently good decks around at the moment. So it getting hit a bit is fair. But no, this isn't even close to being the most powerful deck of all time.
This absolutely isn't the most powerful deck in HS history. True, the nerfs are coming fast, but that's because standard is their bread and butter and where most people play. Naga Sea Witch + giants was much stronger IMO.
The thing you have to compare is what was available in standard at the time. Like some people mentioned star align Druid but that never existed in standard if standard is what we're referencing.
Miracle rogue when leeroy was 4 mana was worse. As many mentioned pirate warrior back in the day was insane. Patron warrior was disgusting but was one of the most difficult decks to pilot. Even old miracle rogue took some degree of skill.
The problem is this shaman deck literally plays itself. There's nothing tricky or tactful about just playing massive, undercosted raw stats. See two 5/6 taunts for 5 for example. There's no "well this combination of cards are overpowered together about it." You just play it on five and most decks can't catch-up from there.
But of all the decks and metas that have existed, I have hated none more than malygos druid last year. Spreading plague, infinite armor, 0 counterplay outside warlock. You just sat there, watched them amass more warrior than warrior ever could, and then kill you eventually. Spreading plague is my least favorite card in hearthstone history, so there is some bias. Some of you probably laugh because there were more overpowered cards like old undertaker and such. But I absolutely loathed that god damn spreading plague.
Cyclone mage, un'goro quest rogue, frozen throne jade druid and many others were superior to Galakrond shaman.
Any current tier 2 in wild would mop the floor with the current standard version of Galakrond shaman unless you think mana tide totem is the ultimate aggro killer.
I suppose it's only about the PTSD given by 2 months of evolve being in standard. People don't want to see shaman again at the top of the ladder, that's pretty much it.
If not, this is a silly post. Of course old Warsong made it strong - this whole thread is about the history of Hearthstone, not only what is available right now. Back when Patron Warrior was a thing, Warsong hadn't yet been nerfed to the point where it's at now. Likewise, when people are referencing old Pirate Warrior, Patches hadn't been nerfed yet. And the Naga Sea Witch mentions - NSW hadn't been nerfed yet.
Also, again, history of HS - Flame Ward didn't exist when Patron Warrior did.
I mean, this post misses the point so much it feels like it has to be a bait. I mean, if I was baited... yay? You got me to correct you? Nice!

When someone has just deficated on my face, I don't stop to ask in the moment how big the turd was, I just want it gone.
If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
Nah, patron warrior was worst

Is it most powerful ? Nah dont think so.

Definitely MC pally was the strongest
yes it is
Nah in the history of HS, I put it between freeze mage, secret pally or patron warrior. All those decks were nuts.
Secret Paladin, Patron Warrior, and Undertaker Hunter were way stronger

Played since beta and i can tell you this isnt most cancerous deck. Naga sea witch deck would wipe the floor with shaman gala deck
patron (patron card) warrior is not a strong deck. old warsong make it strong.
Flame Ward
Undertaker Face Hunter was by far the most toxic and strongest deck of all time.
Are you baiting or something?
