How this set of shaman cards got through playtesting is completely beyond me. The Galakrond turn is so incredibly strong when they summon FOUR 8-8's with rush. And when you deal with that crap, they play Shudderwock and do it all over again. With the Faceless Corruptor (which is also incredibly strong by itself) the Shudderwock can be copied to hand multiple times once again.
Guys just because Shaman is top tier now does not mean it will be in a month.
Right now the deck is dominating which will lead all other decks to tech against it.
Wait at least a week before you craft anything.
Genuinely curious, how would you tech against Galakrond Shaman?
It has burn, value, resource-generation, not one but two catch up cards (Galakrond and shudderwock), goes both wide and tall, and it cleans up pretty effectively against in the midge against more aggressive deck with wide rush boards and Dragon's Pack for protection.
You're right, it is too early to know 100% for sure, but I'm damn near sure it's overtuned.
I like playing shaman by the way. But I haven't tried the deck yet and can't bring myself to. Feels a little too dirty.
I play Wild so I don't really know how you would do it in Standard.
But day 2 is just too early to call anything. When Uldum was released, Secret Mage was proclaimed as the Top Tier deck in Wild, but two weeks later it turned out that Snip Snap Warlock was the best deck, and ohh boy that deck was broken.
Keep in mind everyone has Galakrond and the Invoke cards are cheap. So the deck's stats are likely slightly off due to the fact that EVERYONE plays it. Wait until people try out other deck and see how it fares against them.
I'm like 80% vs Galakrond Shaman with classic Holy Wrath Paladin + Sathrovarr and one Sanctuary. It feels totally hopeless for them honestly. They cannot heal out of range of the double combo and can't put on enough pressure.
Because they've removed almost all their burst, Control Warrior is also an option against Galakrond Shaman. I climbed to Rank 2 doing that last night.
That said...I'm not sure how this deck made it through their internal testing.
I'm not usually this guy, but when a deck skews the meta in such a way that the only way to beat it is not to interact with it, a mistake was made. You just can't beat shaman on board.
As I said in my review, the entire Galakrond package for shaman is fucking stupid. I'm not sure why every other class was so conservative, but Shaman's stuff was actually good. So good that they'd all see play as neutrals. I mean, could you imagine if Warlock had a double invoke that gave the Imps rush? That deck would actually be good.
I do not think it is too early to say quickfix nerfs are incoming. Anyone who has faced that deck once should know.
Even if a couple of decent counters are discovered I have a very hard time imagining a healthy metagame where the shaman decks are present in the current form.
Tbh, as many shaman decks were already strong, I don't even mind removing it from the game for a while. If Highlander Hunter, Pirate Warrior or something else is too strong, then, we'll take it from there.

Couple days of meta was often enough to discover tier0 decks. It doesntsay they are not tier0.
Well, well, Shamanstone, no worries guys if everyone plays Shaman deck win rate will go back to 50%.
JK, it's just stupid.
Anyway, the new Galakrond Shaman, misses one card. Mind Control Tech. Given that fact, I have teched a Miracle Galakrond Rogue, and Trust me , if they don't have Galakrond by 7, fully invoked. they lose. I am 3-1 ,right now, against them. Deck utilises Questing Adventurer and Edwin with the new cards to produce 14/14 and higher minions in turn 6-7 usually. and 3 times out of 4 in my experience(small sample), Shaman can't deal with it. The only one that won against me was because he invoked with coin the minion that invokes twice, then invoke again, on 5, then Galakrond(without quest on turn 7) and still it was a close battle.
Still nerfs incoming cancerous baby Shaman players

The fucking stupid part to me is how all of the Shaman Invoke cards are stronger than Nithogg, their class legendary, who coincidetally, is pretty much useless in the deck due to his eggs getting in the way of having more 8/8s with rush.
They should take rush away from the elementals, put galakrond to 8 mana, and move mutate into Wild. This card game has been dominated by reducing large bodies to low costs since Molten Giant. But they continuously print these shitty meta centralizing cards.
The reload potential is just insane. I played dragon druid (I know, not the strongest deck) and everything went perfectly. early ramp, embiggen, early ysera and was constantly putting out giant drangons and removal (crowd roaster, evasive dragon) in giant form and I still lost convingly, because I could not handle Galakron followed by shudder. They have burn, lifegain, tempo cards.
Hard to see how any deck beats the consistent tempo, value and tools od shaman right now.
Seeing that there is 4 shaman versions out there, some more value, some more aggro, it will be really hard to find a tech card.

ppl telling you to wait wants to have all the fun for themselves. dont fall for this trap. CRAFT SHAMAN NOW!!!
one thing is clear: if you want to win you must play shaman, that shit is broken AF
I play a heal and smash priest. Kicking some asses around. lot of fun.
Priest got one of the most OP card and nobody noticed it so far. Forgot the name, the one that give deathrattle resurrect 2 copies.
I have seen so many people giving up in front of 3 colossus of moon (2 with the reborn active) even zephyr cant have a solution. Fuck zephyr.

All seems pretty obvious to me:
They simply forgot to add the Overload amounts to the cards before release. 😂
The game has enough powercreep as it is without Blizzard accelerating it.
There are like, what, 3 standard cards for each class that are MAYBE worth using now?

I approve entirely, well said !

After all this time, they still can't relase a somewhat balanced expansion. Unbelievable...

Occasionally gives helpful advice.
Seriously - something like that feels like it should have happened.
Hope you didn't go through with it.
Just fire who designed Faceless Corruptor. That person should definitely do another job.
5 mana 10/8 rush... easy evolvable to two 6 mana minion... cmon...
Well said!
