I tried a control/highlander/dragon paladin and saved my shrink ray + clear until he played the 4 8/8 combo. It was an easy win, Shaman is strong but it has counters, please stfu
I’m playing with a Galakrond Rogue and a Handlock and for both decks Galakrond Shaman is my easiest match-up with both. Just save your AOE for the 4 8/8 turn and then win the game.

You are saying unless the deck is absolutely invencible with 100% winrate don't have problem at all? All because you have AN easy win?
Sure, why not? I face the same deck over and over and over again in rank 5 is just bad luck and not because the deck is insanely overpowered or anything.
Quest shaman is weaker with Galakrond in it. Pressure them before they play him and make him use the 8/8 defensively or just save AoE. Once they die the deck doesn’t have much of a game plan. People will soon cut him and go with the overload package. The 5 drop is really OP but beyond that the deck isn’t particularly strong I feel
While I agree that jumping the gun is unhealthy as the expac is only a day old, all of you saying "but I beat it every time because I'm smart with clears." You're either A. Lying (likely). Or B. Playing against terrible players. Quest shaman didn't just become "stall until 8/8s and hope to win off that." It's still quest shaman. Lots of value, control, and pressure. It just has an insane "cheat" turn now.
If you think shaman isn't going to be tier one, if not #1, you're crazy.
This, plus Galakrond itself + Shudderwock is, if not broken, at least a so powerfull combination that will demand from opponnent a perfect play all the time.

Remember: Quest is a bait.
That makes no sense... You don't need to build around battlecries to complete the quest.. I have a Vessina Galkarond Shaman build, and I still include the Quest... the value with Corrupt Elementalist alone is nuts. Plus the value you get with Swampqueen Hagatha and her horrors?? You're literally saying having the ability to double battlecry with big battlecries is... Bait? Right... Gotta have those random totems in late game, and having a big turn 1 is important for control decks.
There is little to no reason not to play Galakrond and Quest together. The invokes generates a crapton of value with the rush minions, you literally need to play only one Elementalist to max Galakrond and in the mean time your opponent is having a bad time dealing with all elementals and lackey value you are throwing at him with the looming threat of 4 giants at any time. All I did was to swap out the lackey totem, champs and gigglings for the elementalists, manics and galakrond himself.

U are using 2 twisting nether for the 8/8s?
A 12 card hand Dark skies+ Nether Breath will remove 2 8/8s as well, for 5 mana. I've done it myself once today.

But...but...most people don't know what saving your clears and trading means!
Also while I hate Shaman galakrond I still beat him if I face him cause I save my clearsas well

galakrond shaman is tier god pls nerf already
Meanwhile Im beating people with Galakrond Shaman without even playing it, his invoke shanenigans are way more annoying.
Zephrys the Great
Flik Skyshiv doesn't give a F... about 2,4 or 7 of the same minions on board.
Shaman is broken yes. I don't know why card designers have always this big issues in balancing the cards.

I've played with the deck and win more games through burst damage. The 4 8/8s just adds pressure to the classes that can't deal with them.
Quest Galakrond Shaman is clunky and weaker than Galakrond Shaman without the quest.
If you cut the quest and bad cards related, like Novice Engineer , EVIL Cable Rat , Questing Explorer plus situational cards like Weaponized Wasp and Former Champ , you can focus on a pure Galakrond plan, with strong battlecry cards to support it, like Swampqueen Hagatha and Sandstorm Elemental .

Shaman is sitting at a 56.6% winrate right now. Meanwhile Priest is at 37.9%
