I had 4 minions in play, opponent had 2 taunts up. I played the new Deathwing, somehow not realizing he attacks all minions, despite it saying "ALL" in caps. In my head it was all enemy minions, so he was going to just clear the two taunts and I'd have lethal with my remaining minions. Instead he wiped my board (including himself) and never bothered attacking my opponent's minions.
I was playing Reno Mage and got Chameleos off of Brightwing. The Chameleos turned into the new Ysera. I played it and consequently nullified all my highlander cards.
I was playing a Galakrond Warrior and had 1 invoke off and went to clear a big minion early. I forgot that Scion of Ruin needs 2 invokes to get the copies out on board. I lost that game cause I lost board control pretty fast after that.
I played Kronx Dragonhoof before I played Galakrond...
While I had Galakrond in hand.
So he was just a stat stick 6/6. I shame conceded.
I have been on the verge of doing this soooo many times. Luckily, and sadly, I still have to read every new card, so that always pulls me back. As for my own failures, yesterday I killed off my opponent's Albatross before playing Dragonqueen Alex. Obviously, a clear error in order, and I was left with no other option than to shame-concede.
I love these threads, by the way. Very good example of how fun this community can be.

Currently playing Dragon Galakrond Priest, Dragon Galakrond Warrior and Highlander Dragon Hunter.
Played Breath of the Infinite while not having a dragon in hand and destroyed my own board... and not even killing the enemy's because I had to combo with Pyromancer and I killed him, then the opponent proceeded to kill me /facepalm
The first time was the more common mistake of playing it while Galakrond was in hand, hastily thinking that I had already proc'ed the devastation. I was playing shashaman so it was still in the shudder pool, but still felt bad. First drop of the expansion too.
The 2nd time was bit trickier. I had transformed into Galakrond, then transformed into Hagatha. I play Kronx and... nothing. I guess you have to currently be Galakrond. Really took me by surprise, I was so lost for the next 30 seconds on what to do, I was not prepared for such a whiff.
I played dragon queen alexstrasza and she gave me Ysera unleashed which I played. Next turn I tried to play zephyrs to clear a taunt and was confused as to why it didn’t work...still won that because DQ Alex is insane.

With new cards comes new ways to misplay them.
Which of the new cards did you misplay the worst?

Playing cards which require dragons in hand without dragons . Rookie mistake. Malygos aspect of magic.

Accidentally put two copies of a spell in my singleton deck. I played Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, and all she did was look at me funny.

Similar story to FortyDust, added Dragonqueen to a non-higlander deck.

Kronx got me... twice.
