Standard is way to tempo oriented, needs more AoE and taunts. Feels bad when you don't like to play tempo or against tempo.
This, I've never stopped playing standard as quickly as this after a new expansion.
Maybe I'll see a deck that interests me one day, but so far this expansion seems a bit over hyped. Nothing seems all that interesting or fun. Last time we had heal druid to satisfy me, not sure what to play this time around.
So build the type of deck you want to play.
Or keep playing BG until someone does it for you. Whatever.
I just know there is no way anyone has had enough time to fully explore all the options yet, so it's way too early to be throwing in the towel.
And for the record, "tempo vs. tempo" describes only a tiny fraction of the games I've played so far. Control, aggro and midrange all have viable builds at the moment, and it's ludicrous to claim otherwise until the meta has settled a bit.

I've been having a pretty fun time with this deck I created (Link below). It's a unique card variation of Dragon Handlock. I have been winning quite a bit with it.
I haven't actually seen anyone else playing this yet. I got Hack the System as my free quest last expansion and I never even played it once. This expansion I've actually been doing rather well with a warrior galakrond hack the system combo. Once galakrond is out which is usually before the quest is finished, you finish the quest easily with his hero power. Then the refreshing hero power quest reward is super consistent since all the invoke cards both do something and give you 3 attack to refresh your hero power.
So far, this Rogue deck seems to be performing wondrously even at the mercy of shamanstone, including the double galakrond battlecry combo can be defied with some consistent board presence and preserved removals.
The card that I hate the most is Faceless Corruptor right now. I seriously think this card needs tuning; first to summon gets the game served in a silver plate in literal sense. Ladder is full of shamans so it becomes even more of a problem than it could be had shaman quest not existed. Uncontainable, unmanageable, imbalanced and too in-your-face response to the glorified druid card, albeit a neutral which everyone can access to.
Anyways, I welcome any improvements to my horrendous deck or decks that you play. I feel like Druid and Priest can be a lot of fun, but Mages and Shamanstone kinda makes Dragon Druid and Priest a pipe dream. Warlock still disappoints...Boy how low has Gul'dan fallen.

this card is as broken as original giggling inventor. You can even attack with the minion before you corrupt it. No way this doesn't get nerfed. I believe it would be over average without the rush, but with it it's insane.
I'm enjoying Quest dragon mage. I usually lose to hyperagro decks but everything else including galakrond shamans is beatable (depending on RNG, ofc).
Also, getting Yogg box from hero power and turning the tide of battle is always fun. The list is non-refined, I'm pretty sure I will swap out some cards later (i.e. Dragoncasters haven't been too useful unless I get some high-cost spell from hero power or Mana Cyclone). Will probably need to craft Luna's Pocket Galaxy too and replace Frizz Kindleroost with it. Dragon Breeder comboes nice with Malygos, sometimes that extra empowered spell is exactly what I need to win the game (8 damage flamestrike vs all those Galakrond storms).
Just having a blast with this deck at Ranks 4 through 1 (I'm 3 stars from getting Legend and because of this deck). I was mainly playing Dragon Hand Lock and Dragon Quest Druid, but was having some trouble against Hunters and Shamans, so I decided to go for a more agressive deck and to get to R5 I've played Galakrond Zoo Lock (which is very fun), but now I'm playing only this rogue deck below and having good success.

I'm playing a combo priest deck I made up. Can't remember the full deck list, but the combo goes like this:
Step 1: invoke Galakrond twice
Step 2: draw all your combo pieces, then play two copies of Fate Weaver
Step 3: play Prophet Velen, copy it with Faceless Manipulator, give them both spell damage with Ancient Mage, hit your opponent with Holy Smite twice for lethal
Highlander dragon pally is an absolute joy to play. Only seeing the 7th shaman in a row diminishes that joy.
Less shaman. Plis

Most fun and success with Paladin Paladin. Mech build.
the 4/2 guy who equips a true silver and sanctuary are the nuts.
Missing lethal since June 2015.
Highlander dragon mage is very good, not the easiest deck to play tho. I'm at 8W/0L on rank 5-3.
this fair one

Reno dragon mage. Playing dragon queen alexstrasza on turn 7 feels good
Highlander mage and highlander quest shaman
Highlander shaman is so much fun the variety of this deck is crazy
I have a ton of fun with Galakrond Quest Shaman (or as i call it Galaquman). The deck seems to be not so bad.
