thoughts? I know a lot of people wanted this but I foresee more “hearthstone is pay to win lululul” complaints. I’m curious as to what’s gonna be added though. They’ve been pretty good about shaking up the meta at key times.
I’m freakin’ pumped, personally. It’s like the previous events only with all-new cards, and people forget that 35 is bigger than both Naxx (30) and Blackrock (31). I’m stoked beyond belief.

I'm guessing the powerlevel of these cards will be lower, but instead add support for the (dragon) archetypes DoD gave us. Personally I'm hoping for more dragon (synergy) cards.

I think there will be another “No Neutral” card for Paladin in there that will flesh out that deck type and pull it all together.
Amazing. This is even more exciting than the expansion itself. 35 cards is more than enough to shake the meta up without having to wait for another expansion.
Very bad news for players like me, that want to play Standard, but have no interest in the solo adventures. I either have to craft the strong new cards (which could cost a fortune in dust, depending on how many there are), or I'm forced to buy and play-through the adventure.
Not that great they release this already shortly (one month) after expansion hits, I mean come on, how would free players even be able to collect enough Gold for this ? I have just gathered 5k which will pretty much entirely go into DoD.

Why would you even think Blizzard wants to help anyone continue to be a free player?
Their biggest wish is to convert all free players into paying customers. This is not a secret.

Given that it's not a full on expansion, I wouldn't expect these cards to be too good. Maybe 1 or 2 could be meta defining.
I thought they meant new cards as in the cards you get from Dungeon Runs that you can only use in the solo adventure...
It says “collect 35 new cards” so they’re definitely not solo only.
I'm looking forward to it, reminds me of the old days...
GOOOOOD this games need this kind of thing to shake the meta mid xpacks.
Ok, well, I wasn’t sure since you do “collect” certain cards during Dungeon Runs after each victory.

I wonder if the League of Explorer classes will get new Legendary cards to balance out Galakrond?

no...
Why?

That's a good point and seems very likely. That's what I'm also hoping the theme of the adventure will be; to pull existing deck types together.
I'm happy with the dragons we're getting but I'm keeping my fingers crossed the adventure will give an additional dragon card for each class.

just don't be poor.
