I definitely think aggro pirate rogue could be great, maybe even better than pirate warrior, but people kind of forgot about cannon barrage existing, and in a world where we can get 3 1/1 pirates with 1 card, suddenly cannon barrage feels a lot better
I don't know what is going to be good but I wanna try a "Club Deck". A Club deck is a deck that only uses no neutral cards. I call it a Club deck because in the card text for both cards say Paladin's only paladin's club (If you think you have a better name please say but I'm not too creative when it comes to naming).

I don't see the need to come up with some arcane jargon when "zero Neutrals" is concise and descriptive.
Then again, I'm not exactly winning the "singleton > highlander" battle, so what do I know?

I think the best place for 7 mana paladin 'no neutral' card is a value oriented slower paladin, which of course has neutrals. Think of it as playing Zephyrs or Elise in quest druid. It is late game, you are out of threats, you play her, BOOM, Tirion. Or you know, Light's Justice. But you don't have to play a no neutral deck for her to be good. So your late game is like, 2 copies of her, Tirion, a possible Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, Zephyrs and even Archivist Elysiana if all you see is other control decks (I highly doubt this will be the case)
I'll make sure to try it in a control paladin. I always make one, never worked after N'Zoth was gone, but maybe this time.
On the other hand, the one which gives you a Truesilver Champion is hopeless.
I too think quest shaman will continue to dominate. In fact, I suspect much like what we've seen in the past that quest shaman will be too good and will be ripe for a nerf.
It's fairly well known at this point that when one archetype is too powerful, they'll first try to address it not with nerfs but with new cards as counters/answers first. When that doesn't work, much like how I suspect it won't work this time, that's generally when Blizzard will take the necessary steps and nerf overly powerful problem cards.
It's just a theory though. We'll have to wait and see.

Hopeless? Are you serious? It's Truesilver Champion, which is a pretty good weapon, and would certainly be put into a "pure" Paladin, plus a 4/2 for free. It is the best card in the deck.

I though of as a late game card in a deck that I tried to describe.
In a 'pure paladin' deck, you probably already have the weapon, by itself, as it is 'pretty good', and you likely have a Tirion, and his weapon. Sure, if you need the 4th and the 5th weapon, play this guy too. Of course, even in this deck, he is far, far, faaar from being the best card in the deck.

But it isn't a late game card, you're meant to play this on curve. Lightforged Zealot is effectively a betterTruesilver Champion if you play a Pure Paladin deck. If you don't want to run 5 weapons, then you definitely play LIghtforged Zealot instead of Truesilver. It's a free 4/2 body, what's not to like? If this card didn't exist, the only reason to play Pure Paladin would be for the memes. I agree with TardisGreen that this would be the best card in the deck.
From the pre-release events I have seen, Pirate warrior is still (big surprise) absolute cancer that should be nerfed from orbit before it takes over the meta.

No, people who equate certain archetypes with cancer deserve every bit of misery this game can offer them. When you grow up, you may learn what cancer really is.

To be honest, I don't believe we've seen the last of Combo Priest. It gains nothing from the expansion and yet when skillfully piloted it will still be a force to be reckoned with.

Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.

The 3/3 priest legendary is good in combo priest actually. Very good tempo card, basically a cheaper, better piloted shredder
They fucked up again. That shaman minion is gonna shatter dreams. Shaman Didnt need more burst. Already have more than enough. Thanks for 4 more wasted months Bliz

From the perspective of wild: galagrond shaman and Rogue look to have the most potential, and pirate warrior

I'm sure Paladin will find some degenerate deck requiring a nerf in the first week. I'm looking forward to Dragon Talanji thief Priest though
This space is intentionally blank.
What about calling it a class-only deck?
This space is intentionally blank.
The devs named this archetype "Pure Paladin" on the stream.
I like “Classy Paladin”
