I understand criticism for the Hunter class. And I'm fine reading the same argument again and again. It is played a lot, so I get it. But the second someone says "Huntard" I instantly stop taking your words seriously. It just sounds moronic to me. Is this just me?

No, it isn't just you, making a thread about something so trivial sounds just as moronic to me.

Let's be honest: the current meta deathrattle hunter is a deck that costs little, is straightforward to play, and has no hard counter. It has 2 openings: strong & strongest. If you are going to play deathrattle hunter, goodonya. But realize that a lot of people have very little respect for those that choose to play aggro face decks.
Hunter is not OP, but once +50% of all the games you play are against the same class, it gets a bit annoying. And yes, i use the term Huntard, since it pretty accurately represents the whole class. I like more slow paced meta, where you actually have to think about doing something instead of just smashing your s*it to your opponent's hero portrait. Just my opinion. This whole retarded aggro heavy meta is more frustrating than fun to me atm.
Solution? I play mainly arena, and even that pretty rarely. Everybody wins!
This. This is so accurate. So many people that have not achieved the rank legend in previous seasons but then net-decked a zoo or hunter deck and got legend. Hmm... Conspiracy? I have never played miracle rogue, never played zoo, and have never played hunter. And this was especially true before certain nerfs. I like having to think about plays, to me that is the fun of Hearthstone. Just my 2 cents.
What I think people misunderstand is that I am not offended for Hunters. I don't care about that. I literally just think of bad news and tabloids when I see people change the letters in a name to make it "insulting." Just seeing if anyone else had the same reaction.
I did actually play Wow also. I also played a Hunter. But I just played through for the plot so my inexperience didn't really have an effect on anyone.

I disagree with the no hard counter. Warrior counters hunter pretty hard, and priest fair well against hunter as well. For your second point, I have a different feeling about it. Yes, hunter is strong. Yes, the opening can be ridiculous, but for the people who mindlessly play the class like that, they will peak very quickly. Just because the floor of the class is not low, that doesn't mean the ceiling for skill cap isn't high either. I guess I Just don't like when by default if there is a good deck in existence, it has to be completely brainless, because that's not the case.
Also, I personally can't stand the hunter in it's current form. I love midrange decks, so the current playstyle is very boring to me. I just wanted to make what I think is a reasonable point.
To end this, once and for all.. Huntard comes from merging Hunter and Buzzard, which was a very common play prior the nerf... But as many says.. it also refers to the fact that the people playing Hunter sometimes tend to be a little re*ard :D

Nope, definitely not you. It made people look like idiots a decade ago in WoW and it certainly makes them look even stupider now that we're all ten years older.
the term "huntard" came from wow, because hunters are notoriously bad players in wow, and they always wanted to need on items that arnt not even good for them.

Huntard was actually a WoW term before Hearthstone was released, and is just a mash-up of hunter and retard.

I really want Pirates to be a playable theme.

Nope, it is a very cheesy name and cheesy people use it IMO. Then again all the internet slang is lame i.e: bible thump, QQ, kappa etc, etc.
As opposed to responding to it?
I really want Pirates to be a playable theme.

Would you prefer Cunter?
Yes
I've actually never heard that one, so... A little bit yes.

so i see nothing wrong.
Agree with OP 100%. But most of the people making threads can't even spell the titles right.
I find that it is true; the more ignorant a person is, the stronger opinions they have. The word 'Huntard' fits that perfectly.

I use it to call those who are too dumb to beat my facehunter deck. It's one of the most straightforward deck with little tricks.
If i beat you with my Hunter, you are the Hunted. Hunted + Retard = Huntard.
